Hi there, in April 2025 we’re heading out from southern France to Mongolia in our 4x4 Land Cruiser. We’d like to cross from Kazakhstan into China in early September and spend two weeks driving through Xinjiang (no visa required). We’re looking for other vehicles to join us and split the cost of the mandatory guide in China. Any takers?
Hi there, I’m planning a week in the Greater Kabylie region in 2025. I don’t have exact dates yet, but if you’re interested, get in touch so we can plan together.
Norma from Paris
Hi,
I already posted an ad for April for Cape Verde, the Canary Islands, etc., but it’s possible I’ll have more time off than expected and could leave for 3 weeks starting April 19.
In that case, I’m considering Sri Lanka, which has great weather across much of the country, or New Zealand, where it’s autumn and everything’s cheaper with still-pleasant weather. Nepal could also be an option, even though it apparently starts raining there.
I’d be available for 3 weeks starting April 19, give or take. Open to other far-flung destinations with good weather.
Looking for a female travel companion.
I travel backpacker-style, on a tight budget, using local transport or renting a car (for New Zealand, for example).
Feel free to message me privately.
Hello,
I’m planning a trip to South India for 5 or 6 weeks. If there are three or four of us, we could rent a car, which would make things faster, and the planned route might only take a month instead of a month and a half.
Since it’s impossible to do everything, I’m prioritizing ** and *** backpacker spots, as well as UNESCO sites.
I’m not really into beach destinations. I’m thinking of skipping Madras (Chennai) from the itinerary since there isn’t much that’s amazing to see there.
As for GOA, I’m much more interested in Old Goa (monuments and atmosphere) than the beaches of Goa.
The dates aren’t set in stone yet. I don’t have my flight ticket yet either. I’d like to leave around January 15th and return in mid or late February 2025.
Don’t hesitate to reach out if the project appeals to you. We can then chat via personal email and later on WhatsApp video. I’m not looking for people who talk non-stop, are overly sensitive, or high-strung. Might as well be upfront about it to avoid any disappointments. 😉
Best regards, Régine from Lyon. (66 years young but 45 in my head 😏)

Hi there,
I’m leaving from Tours (Indre-et-Loire 37) on 12/22 for Seville in Andalusia, with a stop in Valladolid to arrive in Seville on 12/23.
I’ve planned some trips to Huelva, Cadiz, Malaga, and maybe Faro in Portugal, as well as Seville—visited it last February but I can show it to a travel companion this time.
I’ll be heading back from Seville on 01/02/25 with a stop in San Sebastian to get back to Tours on 01/03.
I’ve already booked an Airbnb near the Cathedral (a cute little apartment with 2 bedrooms).
Looking forward to sharing this trip!

Never heard of the Via Francigena? It’s a pilgrimage route from Canterbury to Rome, which you can do on foot or by bike. I walked part of it (meh!) as far as Reims. Now I’m looking for a partner to continue all the way to Rome, passing through Switzerland and the Great St. Bernard Pass! Everything’s up for discussion: stages, dates, accommodations... Feel free to get in touch via VF or at 0685054720. See you soon.
Hi,
We’d like to drive to Dakar in January 2025. We have a pickup with a small camper.
We’re looking for other vehicles to join us for part of the journey.
Hi! I’m looking for people who’d like to drive to Costa Rica. I have a Grand Cherokee, and the idea is to travel in a convoy of 2 or 3 cars, leaving around December/January and returning together around March/April. Once we reach Costa Rica, you can do and go wherever you want, then we’ll regroup for the convoy trip back to Quebec. Any takers? I can take one person in my car (co-pilot) and help with gas. 🙂
I’m a professional photographer, and I’ve been to Costa Rica 18 times for photography. The photos of me were taken in 2022 in the Dominical area, Costa Rica. Pura Vida!

Hello,
We’re a couple in our late fifties (been bikers for 40 years!) and now free, riding a 1200 GS (just a detail!). We’re looking for another couple of bikers to enjoy some chill rides together! A day, 2 or 3 days, or even longer—we’ve got plenty of travel plans in mind. If, like us, you love riding at a relaxed pace, taking in beautiful scenery, and doing it all in a great atmosphere, let’s get to know each other.

Hello,
If Ethiopia fascinates you, draws you in, and like me you don’t want to visit this country solo… maybe we could exchange ideas with the goal of sharing a driver and a French-speaking guide (?). I’ve traveled a lot on my own (Peru, West Africa, Myanmar, Thailand, Cambodia, a few European countries, some U.S. states, Greece, Mexico, etc.—backpacking, hostels, public transport, local restaurants),
also with a friend (Iran, Tibet, China, Russia, Gabon, South India),
with my husband (Egypt, Vietnam, Canada 3 times, Florida, Jordan, North India, Dominican Republic, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Croatia, among others).
He doesn’t want to travel anymore, my girlfriends aren’t interested in Ethiopia, and I don’t feel like going alone this time.
My last solo trip was last October (2024) in San Francisco. I loved it. I’m in my seventies now… pfff… but in great shape, physically resilient, good walking endurance, 40 years old in my head… I love music, I choose restaurants more for the local vibe than the menu (I adapt)… no fixed schedule, but I can adjust there too—sandwich or fruit for lunch, a little beer in the evening, and most importantly: no stress! Cool, cool… When traveling as a duo, if one of us wants to spend the day or evening alone, we meet up afterward, and it’s perfect. I’m more talkative in writing than in person—I love listening! So… if the adventure tempts you, don’t hesitate.
I’m in touch with a woman currently there who gave me the contact info for the guide she’s traveling with in the southern region, near the Omo tribes (she has a Facebook companion).
I spoke on the phone this morning with a "seasoned traveler" —we have a lot in common, and we’d be up for going together.
Forming a small group (4/5 people) would be ideal. February is a great time (climate-wise). The south is generally safer than the north, but nothing’s set in stone—nothing’s planned yet. Everything’s open to discussion and we’ll figure it out together!
Best to you, and looking forward to exchanging ideas!
Annick

Hello,
I’ve been retired since 2018 and travel solo every winter. But after my sons pointed out: “riding alone through Laos on a bike! Safety-wise, there’s room for improvement.” I’m getting older and need to be more careful. That’s the reason for this post. The idea is to look out for each other if needed, while still keeping our independence and privacy. I’ll be in Laos starting December 6th, then probably Thailand in January since I want to do some diving. After that, it’s all improvisation—nothing’s set in stone. If the destination and the concept interest you, well, we can just chat about it.
Hello,
I’m planning to leave for Bamako in three to six months.
Here’s my itinerary: Toulouse (France) via Barcelona, Tangier, crossing Morocco to GUERGUERAT, entering Mauritania, Nouakchott up to the GOGUI border (Mali), and arriving in Bamako. I might go through Algeciras depending on costs.
I plan to stop for a week in Nouakchott with family.
I’ll be traveling in a half-loaded Mercedes Sprinter.
For this reason, I’m looking for a travel companion due to my age and health.
I’ve made this crossing several times, including two round trips in 2018.
I’m open to any serious proposals.
Many thanks for this site, which has been a great source of information.
Hey surfers, hey everyone,
I’m looking for a partner to hit the waves and share some great moments. The location doesn’t matter to me, as long as there are uncrowded surf spots. I’m thinking, for example, of the Pacific coast in Colombia or some lesser-known islands in Indonesia. I’ve already visited several quiet spots, but always solo. This time, I’d love to share the experience with someone.
I’m open to any destination and happy to adapt if you have ideas or preferences. Ideally, I’m looking for someone with an intermediate level or higher. I’m not an expert surfer, but I can handle intermediate spots and sometimes more challenging ones. If you’re more experienced, that’d be perfect—I’d love to learn from you and improve.
For languages, I speak English and Spanish, so no problem communicating! I’m keen to leave around mid-January or early February for about 2-3 weeks. A pure surf trip, with lots of fun along the way.
If you’re interested, feel free to suggest ideas or drop me a message. Can’t wait to hear your proposals! !

Hey there,
My boyfriend or my ex—I can’t even tell anymore—just bailed on me, saying "he can’t get on the plane." Long story short, I should be in Sicily right now, and I’m really bummed... I’ve got friends, like everyone else, but they’re all working. So, who knows why, but I’m looking for a stranger who’d be up for wandering around with me next week—I don’t even know where yet. At least I’ll have tried, right? Thanks.
Elodie
Oh, and I live in French-speaking Switzerland, in case that matters
I'm looking for a travel partner for a kayaking/hiking/tourism trip in the Norwegian fjords, the Lofoten Islands, and the lakes of Finland in summer 2025. Outbound via Denmark, return via Estonia. We’ll launch the kayaks whenever we feel like it and when it’s possible. You’ll need an inflatable kayak. I have a Framura and the vehicle, an Evasion. Chill vibe, not a sports expedition. Bivouacs and campgrounds. Looking for a cool person who speaks good English and has some travel experience. The itinerary and dates are flexible, but a good window is early June to mid-July. I live in La Rochelle and I’m 73 (just finished a month and a half of hiking in the Alps and Pyrenees). First contact by email, thanks.
Hi there, in April 2025 we’re heading out in our 4x4 Land Cruiser with a roof-top tent, from southern France to Mongolia.
To tackle some of the tracks—which we might not want to do alone—we’re looking for another 4x4 (or more) to join us for parts of the journey. Here’s the rough (and flexible) plan:
July 2025 Tajikistan (Pamir Highway)
August 2025 Kyrgyzstan
Mid-September to mid-October 2025 Mongolia.
So if you think you’ll be in the same places at the same time, give us a shout!
See you soon! !
Hi there!
Would anyone be interested in a trip to Marrakech in January 2025? Two weeks, renting a really comfortable place, and plenty of sightseeing!
Hello,
I’m Belgian, 68 years old, a frequent solo traveler (Asia, North Africa, Europe).
I’m leaving from CHARLEROI (Belgium) for FES on November 20th and returning from AGADIR on December 6th.
Plan: sightseeing and walks.
Getting around by train, shared buses, and private taxis if needed.
Staying in riads except in Agadir (private room).
If someone genuine wants to join me on this trip, and/or meet up there for all or part of the journey, here’s my email: mcroemen@live.be or message me on this site.
Having some company and sharing the days would be a new experience.
Looking forward to meeting you (men or women; age doesn’t matter as long as you’re mobile).
Best regards,
MARIE
PS: Preferably someone who loves to marvel at things (I know what I’m talking about...lol)
Hi there,
I’ll be in Laos and then Cambodia from mid-to-late December until early February.
I haven’t been to Laos before, but I already know Cambodia.
I plan to arrive via northern Thailand and leave from Bangkok (it’s a question of flight prices).
I’m used to traveling by local transport and staying in simple guesthouses, with internal flights if needed. Sightseeing, exploring, and connecting with locals are my priorities.
If anyone’s interested in joining for part or all of this trip, we can chat and discuss. I only have a rough itinerary so far.
See you soon,
Francoise
Hi there,
I’m planning a trip to Asia starting in mid-December for 3 weeks to a month, with a preference for India, which I know well.
But I’m also open to the Philippines, Thailand, Nepal... or even a completely different region like New Zealand or Australia.
I travel backpacking, on a small budget, using local buses and trains, tuk-tuks, and renting scooters to reach villages and the countryside.
I’m looking for a female travel companion to share this adventure with.
Feel free to contact me via private message.
See you soon
Hi there! I’d love to travel this winter for a month or a bit longer, preferably with good company.
How about Australia, Tasmania, the central or western USA with its amazing national parks and sights, Brazil, Argentina, Chile, Yunnan, or South Africa? Just a few ideas—if you're interested, we could chat more about it. The world’s waiting… *Tac Australia* "Oh no, not Australia again!" "Oh yes, that’s the game, my dear Lucette—no choice!"
Local transport or maybe renting a car. Accommodation in hostels or Airbnb with separate rooms. Ideally, I’d prefer a female travel buddy for good balance—someone who’s at least a little organized, easygoing, relaxed, cool, respectful, has a sense of humor, loves nature, and isn’t too into big cities. Feel free to reach out, even in private!

Hello!
I’m planning to visit Colombia for 3 weeks (maybe a bit longer) between January and February 2025.
I don’t have a set itinerary yet. The idea is to mix cultural visits (monuments), hikes in national parks, and some beach relaxation.
I’m primarily looking for female travel companions, ideally around my age (I’m 42).
I usually organize my trips solo without using an agency.
I’m looking for people who love walking (a lot ;) ) and are comfortable using public transport (trains, buses, etc.).
I’ll be departing from Paris, but it doesn’t matter where you’re flying from—we can meet up directly there. I haven’t booked my tickets yet.
Feel free to send me a private message if you’re planning a similar trip so we can chat!
Have a great day!

Hi there,
I’m planning a trip to Colombia in January 2026 and I’m looking for a female travel buddy to join me—someone friendly, easygoing, who doesn’t snore 😉 and who I could meet up with before making any final travel decisions.
Far from Europe, I usually opt for organized trips for convenience and safety. We’ll see depending on any responses...
I love pre-Columbian sites, nature, but also architecture, museums, and trying local food...
Hope to connect soon! 🙂
Hi there,
I’m 48 and looking for a roommate for an 18-day organized trip to Costa Rica in January 2025. 😎
A friendly, easygoing travel buddy who doesn’t snore 😉 and preferably lives in the northern part of the country so we can meet up before making any decisions.
Feel free to message me for more details.
Hope to hear from you soon! 🙂

After swapping our Patrol for a Duster, we’re planning a trip to Morocco to test the off-road capabilities of this new vehicle—and if we’re happy with it, we might push on to Mauritania.
We’re a retired couple used to this kind of trip, and we’ll be leaving around late February 2025...
Our passions: off-the-beaten-path travel, photography, wildlife, prehistory, and meeting locals.
Looking for one or two other crews with similar interests...
Hi there,
I’m looking for a female travel buddy to hike and also enjoy some cultural visits over two weeks starting April 18th. I’m open to destinations but have a soft spot for Cape Verde, and I’m also interested in the Canary Islands or the Balearics. I travel on a small to medium budget—local transport, maybe renting a car where it’s necessary, eating local food, and connecting as much as possible with locals, even getting invited to their homes when possible.
No beach lounging or long days by the sea—this trip is all about geographical and cultural discovery.
Anyone curious and energetic is welcome to reach out! 😊
