Villages and natural sites

Brades
This village of a thousand inhabitants became the capital after Plymouth was abandoned in 1997. There are a few beaches and diving opportunities nearby, especially around Little Bay, which could one day become Montserrat’s new economic and tourist hub.
Centre Hills
The heart of the island, with forests, birds, and a few walking trails.
Zone d'exclusion, Montserrat
Exclusion Zone
Following the eruption of Soufrière, the entire southern part of the island was devastated, including the abandonment of the capital Plymouth, the evacuation of the population, and the closure of the southern zone to the public, with visits highly regulated. Observation posts (and boat tours) also allow you to see the volcano and lava fields.
