The area enjoys a sunny, fairly windy oceanic climate. Summers are warm but without excessive heat thanks to the influence of the Atlantic Ocean, while winters are mild and humid. Rainfall is heaviest at the end and beginning of the year. Generally, the best time to visit climatically is from May to September (despite possible summer crowds) to avoid too much rain.
