Climate and weather

Although the town is on the Atlantic coast, its climate can be considered Mediterranean, with dry, hot summers and mild winters (some rain in late autumn and spring). Sunshine is almost constant. Thanks to the sea, the climate remains "livable" in summer, unlike inland areas where it can be scorching in July and August—for example, in Seville, which is not far from the coast.

As is often the case, the shoulder seasons are good times to visit, though the rest of the year is not unpleasant either. Ultimately, more than the weather, it’s the tourist crowds that may influence your choice.
