For French Citizens

In some ways, entry requirements for Belarus seem somewhat inspired by those for Russia, with which the country maintains very close ties, impacting its entry formalities.

In practice, depending on the situation, a visa may or may not be required to enter Belarus. However, in all cases, you will need a passport valid for at least three months beyond your planned return date, proof of travel health and repatriation insurance, and sufficient funds—roughly estimated at a minimum of 20 € per day.

Visa Waiver

French citizens are exempt from a visa when arriving by air at Minsk International Airport, provided the flight is not coming from Russia. Additionally, the planned stay must not exceed 30 days.

Visa Required

A visa is otherwise mandatory in all other cases: when arriving from Russia (regardless of the means of transport), entering the country by road or rail, or intending to stay longer than 30 days. The visa must be obtained before arrival.

The same rules apply to citizens of 74 countries as they do for French nationals.
