Berlin Airport

While the repeatedly delayed opening of Berlin Brandenburg Airport Willy Brandt—a true financial black hole—continues, the city currently operates two airports that will eventually be replaced by this new hub. For now, travellers have two options:

  • Berlin-Tegel: the busier of Berlin’s two airports, handling over 20 million passengers per year.
  • Berlin-Schönefeld: once East Berlin’s airport during the GDR era, now primarily used for charter and low-cost flights.
