Climate and weather
The town has a typical Mediterranean climate with dry, sunny, and hot summers. Even though average summer temperatures hover around 30°C, the proximity to the sea greatly softens the heat compared to, for example, inland continental Spain. Winters are mild and pleasant, with temperatures often around 15°C. There is little rain, except a bit at the start and end of the year, and wind is more common from October to April.
The period from May to early October is the best climatically for discovering Ibiza. That said, despite the good weather, July and August still have the major drawback of being extremely crowded.
