Baggage and equipment to bring
At any time of year, pack light clothing plus a sweater for evenings or air conditioning, but don’t forget that the Comoros is an Islamic republic when it comes to dress. Also bring sun protection, mosquito repellent, and—most importantly—rain gear, as the archipelago sees plenty of rain during the austral summer. Good walking shoes are also a must, especially if you plan to climb Mount Karthala on Grande Comore.
