Suriname Climate and Weather
Climate Overview
Suriname's climate, both on the coast and inland, is hot and humid. It features two distinct periods: the rainy season, which is quite long, running from December to July (with May-June being the wettest, while late February/March offers a lull), and the dry season for the rest of the year. In both seasons, the average temperature hovers around 30°C during the day and 22°C at night. Everywhere, the heat is muggy but significantly tempered on the coast thanks to the trade winds. It's also worth noting that rain typically falls in the late afternoon, and unlike the Caribbean, Suriname is not prone to cyclones.
