Things to Do in Mayotte
Location Map of Mayotte
Beaches and Seaside Resorts

Lagoons, clear and warm waters, lovely sand, turtles, and generally few people—Mayotte has all the ingredients beach lovers could wish for. What’s more, you can swim safely in most places. The island boasts around twenty beaches, including N'Gouja, which remains the best-known and most frequented, with its turtles and the most luxurious hotel on the island.
Diving
With over 1,000 km² of a magnificent lagoon and countless reefs surrounding the island, Mayotte is a paradise for divers and snorkeling enthusiasts. Fish, turtles, and corals are abundant, easily accessible, and thrive in crystal-clear waters that never drop below 24°C. There are around ten diving clubs in Mayotte offering packages and services for all levels. The S Pass and Saziley Marine Park are great spots.
Other Water Activities
Watersports: The wind allows for windsurfing, while the sea, protected by its coral barrier, offers excellent opportunities to explore the coastline by canoe.

Other: Mayotte’s lagoon is home to dolphins and turtles you can swim with. Further offshore, whales can be observed from July to October.
