Nature-Adventure
While the coastline has a pleasant hinterland that also offers some summer cool thanks to the altitude, the natural environment is not outstanding compared to many other parts of the country.
Culture
This part of the coast has some historical landmarks, particularly through several old town centres, castles, and medieval buildings.
Relaxation-Holidays
Murcia and the Valencian Community have been renowned for decades for their coastline and numerous seaside resorts. A top destination for summer tourism in Spain and even across Europe...
Beaches and Seaside Resorts

Like the rest of the Mediterranean coast, the region is rich in beaches and seaside resorts. From Catalonia to Andalusia, the "costas" follow one after another with everything you need for a seaside holiday... but also huge crowds during the summer months. From north to south:
- Costa del Azahar: This is the name given to the tourist coast north of Valencia. Among the main resorts and their 120 km of beaches, Benicàssim, Castellón, and Peñíscola are among the most popular.
- Costa Blanca: 240 kilometres of beaches south of Valencia make up this long seaside area, one of the most visited in Europe. Among the many resorts, Alicante, Benidorm, and Torrevieja are the most important.
- Costa Calida: This is the name of the Mediterranean tourist coast in the Murcia region. Here too, you’ll find many beaches and resorts (San Pedro del Pinatar, Los Alcázares, Mazarrón, Águilas...).
