Climate and weather

The town enjoys a fairly windy oceanic climate. Summers are warm but not excessively hot thanks to the Atlantic Ocean’s influence, while winters are mild and humid. Rainfall is heaviest at the end and beginning of the year. Generally, the best time to visit climatically is from May to September (though summer crowds can be an issue) to avoid too much rain.
