Best Times to Visit Egypt
The most favorable times of the year based on climate, crowds, and prices for both travel and stays.
Generally, the best period to enjoy the country is outside the summer months, which are very hot once you move away from the coast, and March-April, which is the time of the khamsin, a very strong sandstorm wind that often causes problems. For Upper Egypt and Sinai, winter is therefore the preferred season (though it is also peak season with higher prices), while late spring and autumn are better for Lower Egypt, where winter can bring rain and cool nights in the delta.
