Étant donné que vous prévoyez passez 10 jours à Orlando, je vous conseille d'acheter une passe pour 10 jours (ou un peu moins si vous voulez) avec l'option Water Park Fun & More et de ne pas payer pour le Park Hopper puisque vous aurez la possibilité de retourner dans le même parc plusieurs jours. Exemple: Il y a beaucoup de choses à voir à Epcot donc c'est préférable d'y retourner une 2e journée. MGM et Animal Kingdom en une journée, c'est trop chargé... J'y suis allé il y a quelques années et je passais une partie de la journée dans un parc et je retournait à l'hôtel par la suite pour me baigner et allé manger. Je n'avait pas acheté l'option Water Park.
En ce qui concerne Universal Studios, 1 journée peut suffire si vous acheter le Express Pass (arrivée peut-être à l'ouverture). Cette passe vous permet de passez en priorité et vous n'avez pas à entendre des heures...
...Par contre vu qu'il y a quand même énormément de bus, on a jamais attendu très longtemps !! ...
Comme tu dis, c'était en septembre, quand l'école à repris... Nous , nous y étions en juillet aout... dans la foule, et il y avait beaucoup de monde à la sortie des parcs pour reprendre les navettes !!! !!

je ne peux pas rentrer dans le débat des hôtels car le mien (Wyndham Palace Resort & Spa) était payé par ma boîte 😉 ... pratique car à 2 pas de Downtown Disney et avec des shuttles pour aller aux parcs de Disney...
Je suis en train de regarder Mousesavers.com, et je vois que du Hilton, on peut en quelques pas se retrouver à Downtown Disney. De là, est-ce facile d'accéder aux parcs? Il y a aussi des navettes organisées par l'hôtel pour les différents parcs d'après ce que je vois.
Les prix sont pas mal du tout pour les hôtels de ce coin-là, je vais réfléchir à cette possibilité...

j'imagine que le Hilton n'est pas loin de l'hôtel où nous étions... le shuttle passait à notre hôtel tous les 20-30 min aux heures de pointe (ie le matin et soir)... un peu moins fréquemment en journée... il passait dans 2/3 hôtels si je me rappelle bien (le nôtre était le dernier)... aucun problème particulier... ponctuel et opn a toujours eu de la place (mais on avait la chance d'être en période creuse)... le temps pour aller aux différents parcs de Disney ne m'a pas semblé excessif (20-30 min max)... le fait de pouvoir aller à pied en qq min à Downtown Disney était sympa pour les boutiques, les restos et animations... y'a même le cirque du Soleil 😉... je ne peux pas vraiment comparer par rapport à un hôtel dans un parc, ni par rapport à une période plus fréquentée... perso, on a trouvé ça très bien... et on a dû aller à Downtown Disney à peu près tous les jours... même si c'était juste pour se balader et manger une soupe et un sandwich (au Earl of Sandwich).

Nous avons fait la même chose à San Francisco, résultat un repas de 100$ gratuit dans un assez bon restaurant sur l'un des quais et un tour d'autobus sur la ville. Ce qui est le plus drôle est que nous avions au départ informé le vendeur que nous avions une caravane et que nous ne pensions pas être intéressé par le timesharing mais il a cru que nous changerions d'avis.
J'ai fait un simulation pour réserver sur Expedia.com mais je suis bloqué lorsque le site me demande un numéro de téléphone car même si il permet de réserver avec une adresse Française, il demande un numéro de téléphone au format Americain et je ne sais pas quoi mettre dans area code. J'ai peut être un plan pour avoir les billets pour Disney World à -25% mais ce n'est pas sur donc je reste sur Mouse saver également.

Je suis d'accord avec toi concernant la réservation dans un hotel, et non pas en villa, je peux te dire pour avoir fait le DWC, et les alentours. et bien on reviens disons un peu fatiguer, donc comme tu le mentionnes pas de lit a faire ni de bouffe ont se sert des restos sur place, en plus le prix des repas ne sont quand meme pas exhorbitants, et quoi de mieux que de se prélasser dans la piscine le soir ou en fin d'après midi avant un bon et gros dodo. Car sur le site de Dysney et des thématique , il y a beaucoup de marche a faire.

Blague à part, j'en suis pour le moment à 858, 12 dollars ( ce qui fait environ 627 euros ) pour une chambre pour deux dans l'hotel Pop de Disney en passant par Expédia.com.
Pour le moment, c'est le tarif pour un hôtel Disney le plus bas que j'ai trouvé. Si jamais tu vois un tarif moins chers pour 10 jours entre le 19 et le 29 Avril 2010 je suis preneur 😛.
Pour ce qui est du Dining plan offert en juillet, comme je part en Avril je ne pense pas pouvoir en profiter 🙂. Par contre, je dois avouer que je ne comprend pas tout sur le site que tu m'a indiqué donc j'ai peut être mal compris quelque chose.
Si tu pouvais m'indiquer la page ou tu as vu l'offre pour le Dining plan, ce serrait sympa 🙂. Si jamais la chambre coute 20 euros de plus sur ce site et que le repas est offert, ca peut être sympa.

Est ce que les personnes qui sont déjà partit à Disney World peuvent me dire si il y a des fast food dans ou à proximité de Disney. Par fast food j'entends Mac Donald, Burger King et Wendy's.
De plus, pour voir les deux Parcs Universal, le ticket pour sauter les files est il vraiment recommandé sachant que l'on aura 2 jours pour tout voir et qu'il coute 40 euros de plus par personnes 🙂.

Il y a des fast food propres à Disney dans tous les parcs et généralement c'est pas terrible... A Downtown Disney il y a un McDo et un EARL Sandwich, sorte de fast food ou tu composes des sandwichs. J'avais trouvé ça super bon !!!
En tout cas je ne garde pas un très bon souvenir de la nourriture dans les parcs... Ceci dit je n'ai pas testé les restos un peu plus cher...
Pour la nourriture, je ne m'inquiete pas mais on à pas tout ces fast food en France donc quand je vais aux Etats Unis ca fait partit integrante de mon voyage 😄.
Pour ce qui est du moins 25%, c'est un ami qui travail à Disney Land Paris et qui pourrait apparemment avoir des réduction pour Disney World avec sa carte de travail. Ça reste cependant à vérifié au près de ses supérieurs donc j'en saurais plus dans les jours qui viennent 🙂.

Je viens de faire une comparaison avec le site US de Disney et effectivement, c'est une très belle offre puisque la différence entre les 2, se monte à 353 CHF. pour nous avec le dining plan gratuit.
Je ne m'étais pas encore du tout encore penchée sur les hôtels à Orlando car ces temps, je me prends la tête avec les hôtels à Pensacola Beach qui triplent en week end, tout du moins sur nos dates, alors c'est vraiment la bonne nouvelle du jour.

Pour ce qui est des Fast Pass, tout dépend du monde qu'il y aura le jour où vous y serez.
Si c'est le cas, je te le recommande car ça fait vraiment gagner du temps et niveau fatigue on ressent vraiment la différence à la fin de la journée. Ça vous permettra également de refaire une 2ème fois les attractions que vous avez préférées.
Pour info, les Fast Pass peuvent également être achetés à l'intérieur des parcs.
EDIT: Mince, je constate que le lien que je t'ai mis ne fonctionne pas comme il le faudrait... Il faut que tu fasses le choix toi-même en déroulant la flèche sur fast food et GO... Ça te donnera la liste complète.

Alors nous, on va faire en gros: Cap Canaveral / St Augustine / Savannah / Pensacola / Panama City / Apalachicola peut-être / Orlando / Miami. Mais il y aura probablement encore quelques étapes entre certains endroits.
La Louisiane, ce ne sera qu'un survol, délibéré. On avait beaucoup d'incertitudes sur l'intérêt de cette destination pour notre petit garçon de 9 ans, mais on s'est dit qu'on irait "humer" le coin et qu'on y reviendrait éventuellement à deux plus tard. Ca me semble une destination plus "adulte". Mais là au moins, on en aura eu un petit aperçu, et le fiston aussi. On se concentrera beaucoup plus sur Orlando et les parcs.

Cela s'appelle le Magical Express. Il faut soit le réserver d'avance sur le site Disney ou alors aller au comptoir Magical Express à l'aéroport. Il s'agit de bus transportant les passagers aux différents hôtels Disney. Ils peuvent se charger également du transfert des valises de l'aéroport à l'hôtel mais je déconseille cette option.
Nous sommes arrivés le soir vers 22h à l'aéroport d'Orlando et avons utilisé le Magical Express malheureusement les valises n'ont pas suivies tout de suite et nous les avons reçues à 1h du matin heure locale... C'était notre premier gros vaoyage et je vous raconte pas le stress accumulé à la fatigue du voyage...
Sinon pour le reste c'est nickel il faut juste retirer ses bagages directement sur le tapis roulant et ne pas mettre le sticker ME dessus !!😇
J'ai donc réservé mon avion via Govoyage.be et mon hôtel via Expedia.com en entrant mon numéro de téléphone comme je pouvais 🙂.

Hello everyone! Really damaged due to flooding caused by runoff after forest fires (a total mess!), does anyone in this friendly forum have any updates on the Apache Trail between Apache Junction and Roosevelt Dam? Is there still a section of the road that’s tough to navigate?
We're leaving at the end of June and will be driving the route between Buffalo and Cody. We’ve already booked our accommodations and a rodeo in Cody, but during the day, we’ll be driving between the two and I’m unsure about the itinerary.
Which route do you think is the most pleasant, interesting, or scenic between:
- The northern route via Highway 14 with Sheridan, Lowell, etc.
- The southern route with Highways 16/20/14, passing by Loaf Mountain Overlook, Powder River Pass, Ten Sleep Canyon...
We’ll be in a car, so we should be able to drive on any road.

I’m almost done planning our September road trip. After our 3-night visit to Sequoia, we’ll have a stopover night in Coalinga (to break up the drive). We’ll be staying two nights in Monterey and would like to stop along the way to visit one side of Pinnacles National Park. We’re torn between the West entrance and the East entrance, and we’d like to do a short hike of no more than 2 hours since we don’t want to arrive too late in Monterey.
This park is split into two distinct zones with no connection between them, and the mileage from Coalinga to Monterey is pretty much the same for both. Which area do you recommend visiting—east or west? And which route is the most scenic?
I’ve spotted two short hikes:
- East: Moses Spring to Rim Trail Loop
- West: Balconies Cliffs Cave Loop
Has anyone been there, or do you have another hike to suggest?

After our first trip as a young couple to the West in 2007 (yes, that doesn’t make us any younger!), we’re planning to go back in 2028, but this time as a family of four! (We have two boys who’ll be 5½ and 13 years old in the summer of 2028.)
Our plan is to combine a few big cities (SF and LA, maybe San Diego) with national parks and state parks, mostly!
Ideally, we’d like to leave at the end of June and head back to France around July 19–20, so we can enjoy the first week of the Olympic Games in Los Angeles.
Since we already did the "loop" in 2007, there are must-see places we absolutely want to revisit—and especially share with our kids: Bryce Canyon, Yosemite, and above all, the Grand Canyon, which is still the most incredible thing I’ve ever seen on Earth!
On the other hand, some places didn’t leave a big impression on us for various reasons, so we’re not making them a priority: Antelope Canyon, Monument Valley, for example.
We’re planning ahead, but might as well be smart about it😏
Do you have any tips for a fun and doable itinerary over about 20–25 days with kids, without rushing?

Just a quick question about King Canyon and Sequoia National Park.
Before our night in Miramonte, we plan to visit King Canyon. The next stop will be two nights in Three Rivers to explore Sequoia National Park. I wanted to go all the way to Roaring River Falls on the King Canyon Scenic Byway and then turn back to head to Miramonte. Since we’re coming from Oakhurst, Google Maps says it’s 300 km and 5 hours of driving. Since we also want to hike to see the sequoias (Big Stump Area and Grand Grove) before tackling the King Canyon Scenic Byway, the timing’s going to be tight. How far do you recommend going before turning back to miss as few points of interest as possible on the King Canyon Scenic Byway? Thanks for your advice, and have a great evening!

We’ll be alternating between house swaps, motels, and campgrounds. I’ve booked all the accommodations (except the campground at Bryce since sunset bookings open only 14 days in advance) and the first activities, as well as the most touristy ones.
I’m currently putting together my day-by-day roadbook and having some trouble planning certain days, like in LA or Las Vegas. Choosing hikes isn’t easy either—it’s tough to decide!

I’d like to travel along I-15N from San Diego to Las Vegas with my mom, who’s 67. We’ve explored Northern California and the California Coast over the past two years and now want to continue through the desert.
There are several attractions along the way:
- Mormon Rocks
- Desert Discovery Center and visit the Old Woman meteorite
- Joshua Tree National Park
- Mojave Desert
- Mojave National Preserve
- Anza-Borrego Desert State Park
- Silverwood Lake
My mom has back issues that prevent her from hiking or walking on trails with elevation changes. Is it possible to visit these places by car, or are the routes flat enough?
I’d love for her to experience the desert with an itinerary adapted to her condition. I’m also open to other points of interest that aren’t mentioned. We have 3-4 days for the trip, so we’re not in a rush—just want to explore.
I’d love to take a road trip and visit Nova Scotia. I’d appreciate some info on the best cities to see and the most interesting spots. The trip should last about 10 to 15 days, staying in hotels or motels. Thanks in advance!

Is it pretty easy to navigate Detroit Airport to catch the connecting flight to Grand Rapids (domestic flight)? There are several of them who speak English well.

We’d like to walk to Eagle Falls and then Eagle Lake. I’ve spotted two parking lots that seem close to each other and give access to the trailhead. Where and how do we pay for entry to Emerald Bay State Park and Inspiration Point?
**Viewpoints on the East Side:**
Are most of the viewpoints (Balancing Rock, Granite Cave, Bonsai Rock, etc.) right by the road, or do you have to hike to reach them?
**Donner Memorial State Park:**
Is it worth making a detour to Truckee to visit this park and the Truckee historic downtown?

I’m a total USA addict. I’ve already done several road trips, including the East Coast and West Coast.
I’m here today because I’m planning to go back for another road trip on the West Coast. Possibly with one of my sisters and a couple of friends. It’s still just a plan for now, but I’m working on an itinerary in the meantime. Ideally, I’d leave in 2026, but I don’t have the exact dates yet—maybe April-May or September-October.
My last trip to the West Coast was in September 2014. We went for 2 weeks, but this time it’d be 3 weeks. What made me want to go back was simply a colleague who just left today. As I’m writing this, he’s on the plane. I’m so happy for him, but now all I can think about is going back.
Since I recently went to NY, I noticed that prices have really gone up. I assume the same is true for the West Coast? For 2 people over 3 weeks, what budget should I expect? We’re the type to watch our spending and find great tips.
I think we’ll arrive in San Francisco like the first time and leave from either Los Angeles or Las Vegas.

I assume many of you already know, but the America the Beautiful annual pass, which was $80, will increase to $250 starting January 1, 2026.
So if you're planning to travel before the end of December 2026, it's in your best interest to buy your pass in December 2025, since it will still cost $80 and be valid until the end of December 2026 if you purchase it in December 2025.
This price increase only applies to non-U.S. residents.
Additionally, for those who planned to visit just one park, a $100 surcharge per person will apply to access a list of 11 national parks...
For example, if there are 4 of you in a car, you’ll have to pay $35 + $400,
which comes to $435 to visit one of the 11 parks on the list (I don’t have all of them... Bryce, Zion, Grand Canyon, Yellowstone, Grand Teton, etc.).
Total madness.
The goal is to push people who only visit one park into buying the annual pass.
Last point: free entry days are over for non-residents!

We just finished 9 days in the American West and wanted to share our experience because we had an amazing time.
I know some of you might ask, why use an agency? Honestly, we didn’t really feel like doing all the driving and planning, especially since we didn’t know the area at all. And since our English isn’t great, having French-speaking guides was a big comfort.
We found Emmanuelle and Isabelle, and wow, they were fantastic. It was just the two of us with them, so it was a truly VIP, ultra-personalized experience. They treated us like royalty from start to finish. These two live in Las Vegas and know the region like the back of their hand. The service was really personalized. They adapted to our pace and preferences, and we could stop whenever we wanted to take photos. It’s the luxury of being in a small private group—you’re not just a number on a big bus.
In short, we really felt like we were traveling with friends rather than professional guides. Everything’s included in the price (hotel pickup, meals, park entries, etc.), so the value for money is fair.
We loved it so much that we’re already planning to come back next year to explore other areas with them. I think we’ve caught the American West bug—it’s all we can think about, and we can’t wait to return.
