Suggestions for a motorcycle itinerary from Mahajanga to Morondava along the coast?

hi I did this route in 2014 in a 4x4—it wasn’t too tough, but since then there’s been a major cyclone in Soalala this year. The main issue is sometimes not getting lost because there’s little network coverage for GPS, but it’s not too difficult. There’s still the river crossing at Gué, but with a motorcycle, no problem—you’ll find two pirogues and just put the bike on top. Watch out between Maintirano and Bekopaka and Belo sur Tsiribihina for Dahalo, who’ve been particularly aggressive for the past 7 or 8 years. Belo to Morondava is no problem.

Make sure to bring extra fuel and a spare tire, of course.

Bonjour C'est un voyage pas facile, en plus il faut un accompagnateur. De Maintirano jusqu'à Morondava, j'ai un ami qui est habitué, il fait le coin en moto. Majunga Maintirano, la partie difficile je crois. Il faut être accompagné. Merci

oui tout a fait excat de preference avec un malagasy moi en 4x4 je partageais la conduite avec mon copain malgache Bloda et on avait un mecano gasy aussi en plus

oui je lui ai deja dit carburant et eau aussi !! des chambres a air de rechange et pompe bien sur nous n avons qu un seul camion de besalampa a maintirano et a seulement 40 km de maintirano

Pour l'eau, tu ramènes avec toi du filtre katadyne pour éviter les charges

mais pour quand j etais en 4x4 pas de probleme car je prefere l eau vive a l eau traitee chimique
