j'ai réservé une voiture type ford mustang sur le site hertz.com, pour une journée le 21 avril 2010 a las vegas.
je doit prendre la voiture au cesar palace.
ma question : je voulais savoir de quoi j'aurais besoin pour allez la chercher !
sur le site apres avoir payer il propose de s'enregistrer en ligne (pour gagner du temps a l'agence aparement)
moi je n'arrive pas a m'enregistrer ca me marque ::Code tarif - Nous ne trouvons aucun tarif répondant aux critères que vous avez demandés. Cela est probablement dû à une demande d'offre qui n'est pas disponible pour l'agence, l'heure et le véhicule choisis. Si vous essayez de bénéficier d'une offre, veuillez en vérifier les termes et conditions et modifier votre demande. 2eme question: vous aviez réussi a vous enregistrer vous ?
j'ai téléphoné et chez hertz il me dise que ma réservation est bien présente et qu'il ni a aucun problème !
A partir du moment où la centrale de réservation t'a confirmé que c'était bon, c'est que c'est bon !!
vas y avec ton permis de conduire et ta CB, et ton passeport.
Saches que j'avais réservé un type mustang (classique pas cabrio) chez avis au planet hollywood, j'y suis passé la veille pour voir si il y avait possibilité de me bloquer une vraie mustang (un peu le rêve américain pour nous français) mais avis n'avais plus aucune mustang car il renouvelait toute leur flotte, finalement le lendemain matin (à l'ouverture) je m'y suis pointé et j'ai négocié une sebring cabrio (surclassement gratuit).
Donc si jamais tu restes plusieurs jours à Las Vegas passe à l'agence hertz la veille par exemple pour voir quelle voiture tu auras, ça peut permettre d'avoir un choix un peu plus grand et surtout de confirmer ta réservation.
Mais ne t'inquiète pas, tu ne te retrouveras pas sans voiture, il y en a suffisamment pour tout le monde!! (les agences d'hôtels se "servent" au même endroit, à l'aéroport et donc une grosse flotte!)

Nous avons passé 10 jours à Vegas (nous nous y sommes mariés, officielement, rêve réalisé) fin janvier debut février de cette année. Nous sommes arrivés au comptoir Hertz pour louer une mustang pour la journée du lendement sans avoir réservé à l'avance. (louer à l'agence du Flamingo ou nous logions à la fin de notre séjour - nous avons fait 3 hotels: golden nuggets, Treasure island et flamingo, tous impeccables!!)
Le lendemain matin, clef en main, après un clin d'oeil sympa de l'employé de chez Hertz, nous sommes arrivé au parking pour découvrir une...mustang rouge vif cabriolet dernier modèle comme neuve peu de miles... je n'en croyais pas mes yeux de plaisir, et le plaisir s'est accentué en conduisant capote ouverte (oui oui fin janvier, on avait une journée extra, ciel tout bleu, 18 degrés, photos à l'appui) sur le strip de long en large, avant de partir passer une excellente ballade à Red Rock puis en fin de journée sur Hooverdam...
Pour Hertz, facile: une CB, ton permis de conduire français, et, n'oublie pas l'assurance, et choisis bien ton option pour l'essence, ou remplir toi meme le réservoir au retour. Parfois ça vaut le coup, ça dépend de ce que tu vas faire comme trajet. Si tu es a Vegas quelques jours avant la loc de ta mustang, passe à un comptoir Hertz, et précise bien que tu veux un cabriolet si c'est ton choix. Ils feront le necessaire tinquiete...
Sinon pour Hertz, inscrit toi comme membre VIP, c'est gratuit, pratique, tu peux directement entrer les coordonnées de ton permis, comme ça une fois arriver la bas, tu n'as que tres peu de formalite. De plus etre membre te permet d'avoir des tarifs.(5% sur) Pour ma part, j'ai eu droit à une offre d'un passage à Gold member directement par email par la suite. pratique pour des promos.. En tout cas, éclate toi bien, profite, j'avais envisage la location de quelque chose plus 'sport' type Viper ou autre, mais je regrette pas au contraire d'avoir eu la mustang cabriolet, quel bonheur vraiment..; Ca c'est les US!!! D'ailleurs, prochain voyage que l'on prépare, on va sans doute louer une mustang pour trois semaines (Texas, Louisiane, Tenessee). en tout cas, bon voyage Las Vegas, c'etait la troisième fois, et nous, on adoooooooore...

L'avantage est que le vehicule reservé est obligatoirement livré. Si on demande une MUSTANG on aura une MUSTANG
En plus dans cette gamme, ce sont des MUSTANG premium, avec cuir et GPS.
Pour votre tarif, vs n'avez pas recu de confirmation de resa par e-mail?
Autrement je confirme ce qui a ete dit plus haut : Chez HERTZ, il faut absolument prendre la carte HERTZ N°1 : Elle donne 5% de remise supp sur toutes les locations , y compris les forfaits.
Comme elle est gratuite, ca serait dommage de s'en passer.
En plus comme avantage, comme tout est rentré dans la machine, on n'attend absolument pas au comptoir;
Bien sur, si vs la prenez 1 journée, ca ne vaut pas focement le coup;
Enfin, contrairement a ce qui a été fait par nos jeunes mariés, il faut absolument resever les vehicules a partir du site HERTZ.FR, car ils proposent des tarifs beaucoup plus interessants que si on se presente à un comptoir sur place.
Par ex, l'an dernier, la MUSTANG convertible etait à (environ d'apres ce que je m'en souviens) 640 € pour 15 jours. Il y avait a l'epoque de super remises.
(Elle est à 1000 et quelques euros cette année pour la même période)
Moi j'ai loué une CORVETTE pour environ 900 € les 15 jours.

Exact, Mustant intérieur cuir, MAGNIFIQUE !!! Alex dit THE DREAM !!!! c'était encore mieux. Ma femme me disait quand je conduisais: "Si tu te voyais comment tu cranes!!!!" (avec le sourire bien entendu) mais ceci dit, elle faisait aussi un peu la belle (meme si à Vegas, c'est presque normal).
Et j'en ai surpris un paquet qui venaient la voir une fois garée!!!!!
Jpg, tu as raison, c'est evidemment plus cher d'arriver comme ça et louer juste pour une journée. Mais on ne savait pas encore ce qu'on allait louer, et ça pouvait etre n'importe quel jour. Ce fut donc la veille de notre mariage, avant nos trajets en limousine (deux limousine: 1 SUV noir pendant 2h30 dans Vegas puis une blanche pour le mariage, neuve intérieur cuir noir....)
Par contre, j'ai failli pleurer en laissant la Mustang... Mais pas grave, on s'en loue une pendant 2 a 3 semaines en 2011 !!!
Eclate toi bien Alex.... Vegas, (je me répète je sais) c'est magique (et encore plus après avoir vu David copperfield en étant aux premières loges, ça, c'était encore plus cool que du conduire la Mustang.... différent plutot)

Pour une durée plus longue, on peut se connecter depuis les USA sur le site HERTZ, ou autre .FR, et reserver ainsi.
Ca marche tres bien, je crois simplement qu'il faut que la loc commence le lendemain.
Oui je confirme, nous avons réservé en 2008 depuis les états unis, pour le jour suivant sur le site .FR sans aucuns soucis, du coup nous avons été débité directement en euros, nous avons eu un contrat en français dans le texte etc...
C'est sûr que pour une journée l'écart de tarif doit pas être énorme, mais sur plusieurs jours autant réserver à l'avance depuis la France, tranquillement et aussi ça permet de comparer les différents loueurs!

Chez HERTZ, les MUSTANG Coupé ou convertible sont maintenues dans leur gamme Fun collection.
Il n'y a QUe la CORVETTE qui disparait petit à petit.
Pour les autres, les loueurs n'ont plus grand choix dans les convertibles a prix d'achat raisonnable dispo dans les gammes des constructeurs.

Sérieusement, ce n'est pas rigolo de voir un projet de vacance en Mustang rouge décapotable être remis à plus tard, mais ce n'est quand même pas la fin du monde, on s'en remet vite. Et Las Vegas sera toujours là à t'attendre, probablement encore plus belle.
J'ai lu ta complainte sur l'autre forum où on assiste à une belle séance de défoulement collectif. Il y en a même qui en sont à invoquer la théorie du complot.

Dis toi que tu n'auras que encore plus envie de partir, et peut être que du coup tu auras pu mettre quelques centaines d'euros de plus de côté et ton voyage n'en seras que mieux.
Mais j'imagine que sur le moment ça doit être très frustrant, j'espère surtout que ça te couteras pas un bras d'avoir tout à annuler!

A Las Vegas? tu avais une offre spéciale non remboursable, non annulable?
Il est vrai que la première nuit est débitée, mais remboursée en cas d'annulation sauf clause non annulable
dans ce cas là, tente ta chance quand même en appelant ou en envoyant un mail au service de réservation, il est possible qu'il fasse un geste pour les touristes qui sont dans ton cas, il faut que tu leur cire un peu les pompes en leur disant que si tu peux annuler tu auras plus de facilité (financière) pour revenir (chez eux!!!)

Deux philosophies différentes, pour deux trips différents:
- Treasure Island, nous avions réservé deux nuits dans une sompteuse suite, celle ci donnait sur le strip (jacuzzi, deux salles de bains, etc, ouahouf)
- Flamingo, nous avions aussi reservé une suite, mais nous n'avons pu l'avoir car les derniers étages ou elles se situent étaient inondés la semaine précédente, nous avions donc eu une godeluxe avec vue sur strip
Franchement, on a aimé les deux, mais le Treasure Island est un cran au dessus questions prestance et prestation
Par contre, si l'on veut faire un point question qualité/prix, il n'y a pas photo de notre côté, c'est le Flamingo
Je pense que ça vaut le coup de voir les deux (meme les 3 en parlant de fremont, nous étions au Golden nugget, la classe)
Donc, si tu veux un hotel plus classe et ou tout est beau et on s'y sent bien, le TI sans problème (attention à ceux qui s'offusquent, on a visité le venetian, palazzo, wynn, on a détesté l'ambiance, le look et le coté mega prout prout)
Si tu veux un hotel ou tu n'as aucune surprise, bien situé, propre, agreable, d'un excellent rapport prix prestation, n'hésite pas sur le Flamingo - qui a l'avantage d'etre plus centralisé sur le strip et d'avoir une station de shuttle pour partir vers le nors ou le sud du strip, alors que du TI, tu devras marcher plus

Il faut voir avec l'agence, mais dans ce cas, j'ai l'impression que tu vas y laisser des plumes, tiens-nous au courant de tes démarches, cela peut servir à d'autres.

as tu pensé à faire un saut jusqu'au Speedway juste au nord de LV sur la I.15 sortie 54 ?
Car il y a, à côté, le concessionnaire Shelby ! les "jeunes" générations ne le savent peut être pas mais Caroll Shelby était le préparateur des Mustang (très boostées) et, je crois, des Cobra.

Je suis surpris quand tu parle de différence de prix, pour une nuit au mois d'Août en semaine il n'y a que 4 € d'écart.
En fait j'avais un penchant pour le Treasure, il y un spectacle permanent devant qui pourra amuser les enfants (enfin pas si enfants que ça puisqu'ils ont 13 et 16 ans).
J'avais cru qu'il y avait un bus (le Deuche) qui m'aurait permis d'aller du Treasure à Fremont St.
Bonsoir, et de rien, c'est toujours un plaisir de renseigner quand on peut.
Je t'ai parlé de la différence de tarif aux dates ou nous sommes partis (fin janvier), car il y avait des offres à cette période vraiment très intéressantes côté Flamingo. Et on s'est laché un peu sur la suite au TI (qui etait donc 2,5x plus cher qu'au flamingo.) On avait réservé 4 nuits au Flamingo avec 60% off en offre exclusive, puis par email un surclassement en suite pour 7€ de plus par nuit, (mais dommage pour la suite, voir courrier précédent)
Oui, il y a le spectacle de Sirènes du TI toutes les heures et demi devant le casino, je m'en souviens bien car on s'est trouvé un soir dans la chambre, ça faisait un de ces boucan (de boucanier tiens!). Les enfants (les garçons) apprécieront les formes des sirènes (ben oui, elles sont bien là pour se faire mater)
Quand tu loges au TI, tu as accès à un endroit qui vous permettra d'tre plus à l'aise pour voir le spectacle plutot que d'etre au milieu de la foule (et ya du monde, je t'assure). En plus en Aout, ça va être démentiel. J'ai fait une journée en Aout lors de mon 1er voyage en 2000, prépare toi au monde et à la chaleur. Evite les WE de préférence (plus cher et plus de monde).
Pour le bus, pas pris, j'ai fait à pied, en monorail, en voiture de loc, en taxi. De plus, on avait déjà visité Fremont, vu que nous logions au Golden Nugget deux nuits au début de notre séjour. Il faut y aller faire un tour c'est top, plus confidentiel que le Strip
C'était mon 3éme passage à Vegas, cette fois ci exclusif Vegas (10 jours, mariage) et je pense qu'on y repartira. En 2011, on devrait aller ailleurs (toujours aux States), mais on réflechit (Utah, Colorado, Nouveau Mexique ou Texas, Louisiane). Parcours à faire, date à caler etc etc, on en est pas là.

Hello everyone! Really damaged due to flooding caused by runoff after forest fires (a total mess!), does anyone in this friendly forum have any updates on the Apache Trail between Apache Junction and Roosevelt Dam? Is there still a section of the road that’s tough to navigate?
We're leaving at the end of June and will be driving the route between Buffalo and Cody. We’ve already booked our accommodations and a rodeo in Cody, but during the day, we’ll be driving between the two and I’m unsure about the itinerary.
Which route do you think is the most pleasant, interesting, or scenic between:
- The northern route via Highway 14 with Sheridan, Lowell, etc.
- The southern route with Highways 16/20/14, passing by Loaf Mountain Overlook, Powder River Pass, Ten Sleep Canyon...
We’ll be in a car, so we should be able to drive on any road.

I’m almost done planning our September road trip. After our 3-night visit to Sequoia, we’ll have a stopover night in Coalinga (to break up the drive). We’ll be staying two nights in Monterey and would like to stop along the way to visit one side of Pinnacles National Park. We’re torn between the West entrance and the East entrance, and we’d like to do a short hike of no more than 2 hours since we don’t want to arrive too late in Monterey.
This park is split into two distinct zones with no connection between them, and the mileage from Coalinga to Monterey is pretty much the same for both. Which area do you recommend visiting—east or west? And which route is the most scenic?
I’ve spotted two short hikes:
- East: Moses Spring to Rim Trail Loop
- West: Balconies Cliffs Cave Loop
Has anyone been there, or do you have another hike to suggest?

After our first trip as a young couple to the West in 2007 (yes, that doesn’t make us any younger!), we’re planning to go back in 2028, but this time as a family of four! (We have two boys who’ll be 5½ and 13 years old in the summer of 2028.)
Our plan is to combine a few big cities (SF and LA, maybe San Diego) with national parks and state parks, mostly!
Ideally, we’d like to leave at the end of June and head back to France around July 19–20, so we can enjoy the first week of the Olympic Games in Los Angeles.
Since we already did the "loop" in 2007, there are must-see places we absolutely want to revisit—and especially share with our kids: Bryce Canyon, Yosemite, and above all, the Grand Canyon, which is still the most incredible thing I’ve ever seen on Earth!
On the other hand, some places didn’t leave a big impression on us for various reasons, so we’re not making them a priority: Antelope Canyon, Monument Valley, for example.
We’re planning ahead, but might as well be smart about it😏
Do you have any tips for a fun and doable itinerary over about 20–25 days with kids, without rushing?

Just a quick question about King Canyon and Sequoia National Park.
Before our night in Miramonte, we plan to visit King Canyon. The next stop will be two nights in Three Rivers to explore Sequoia National Park. I wanted to go all the way to Roaring River Falls on the King Canyon Scenic Byway and then turn back to head to Miramonte. Since we’re coming from Oakhurst, Google Maps says it’s 300 km and 5 hours of driving. Since we also want to hike to see the sequoias (Big Stump Area and Grand Grove) before tackling the King Canyon Scenic Byway, the timing’s going to be tight. How far do you recommend going before turning back to miss as few points of interest as possible on the King Canyon Scenic Byway? Thanks for your advice, and have a great evening!

I’d like to travel along I-15N from San Diego to Las Vegas with my mom, who’s 67. We’ve explored Northern California and the California Coast over the past two years and now want to continue through the desert.
There are several attractions along the way:
- Mormon Rocks
- Desert Discovery Center and visit the Old Woman meteorite
- Joshua Tree National Park
- Mojave Desert
- Mojave National Preserve
- Anza-Borrego Desert State Park
- Silverwood Lake
My mom has back issues that prevent her from hiking or walking on trails with elevation changes. Is it possible to visit these places by car, or are the routes flat enough?
I’d love for her to experience the desert with an itinerary adapted to her condition. I’m also open to other points of interest that aren’t mentioned. We have 3-4 days for the trip, so we’re not in a rush—just want to explore.
I’d love to take a road trip and visit Nova Scotia. I’d appreciate some info on the best cities to see and the most interesting spots. The trip should last about 10 to 15 days, staying in hotels or motels. Thanks in advance!

Is it pretty easy to navigate Detroit Airport to catch the connecting flight to Grand Rapids (domestic flight)? There are several of them who speak English well.

We’d like to walk to Eagle Falls and then Eagle Lake. I’ve spotted two parking lots that seem close to each other and give access to the trailhead. Where and how do we pay for entry to Emerald Bay State Park and Inspiration Point?
**Viewpoints on the East Side:**
Are most of the viewpoints (Balancing Rock, Granite Cave, Bonsai Rock, etc.) right by the road, or do you have to hike to reach them?
**Donner Memorial State Park:**
Is it worth making a detour to Truckee to visit this park and the Truckee historic downtown?

I'm shocked by the price of the Upper Antelope Canyon tour—$175 for less than an hour… You might say, "if you can’t afford it…" But the real question is whether it’s really worth it, because $350 for two makes me feel like I’m getting ripped off. I’ve read there are trails to access the trailheads for Cinder Cone (11 km) and Warner Valley. Are these easy trails for an SUV?
Are there any other must-see spots or things we shouldn’t miss?

I’m a total USA addict. I’ve already done several road trips, including the East Coast and West Coast.
I’m here today because I’m planning to go back for another road trip on the West Coast. Possibly with one of my sisters and a couple of friends. It’s still just a plan for now, but I’m working on an itinerary in the meantime. Ideally, I’d leave in 2026, but I don’t have the exact dates yet—maybe April-May or September-October.
My last trip to the West Coast was in September 2014. We went for 2 weeks, but this time it’d be 3 weeks. What made me want to go back was simply a colleague who just left today. As I’m writing this, he’s on the plane. I’m so happy for him, but now all I can think about is going back.
Since I recently went to NY, I noticed that prices have really gone up. I assume the same is true for the West Coast? For 2 people over 3 weeks, what budget should I expect? We’re the type to watch our spending and find great tips.
I think we’ll arrive in San Francisco like the first time and leave from either Los Angeles or Las Vegas.

Travelers to the United States | Photo Now Mandatory Upon Entry and Exit | La Presse
I assume many of you already know, but the America the Beautiful annual pass, which was $80, will increase to $250 starting January 1, 2026.
So if you're planning to travel before the end of December 2026, it's in your best interest to buy your pass in December 2025, since it will still cost $80 and be valid until the end of December 2026 if you purchase it in December 2025.
This price increase only applies to non-U.S. residents.
Additionally, for those who planned to visit just one park, a $100 surcharge per person will apply to access a list of 11 national parks...
For example, if there are 4 of you in a car, you’ll have to pay $35 + $400,
which comes to $435 to visit one of the 11 parks on the list (I don’t have all of them... Bryce, Zion, Grand Canyon, Yellowstone, Grand Teton, etc.).
Total madness.
The goal is to push people who only visit one park into buying the annual pass.
Last point: free entry days are over for non-residents!

We just finished 9 days in the American West and wanted to share our experience because we had an amazing time.
I know some of you might ask, why use an agency? Honestly, we didn’t really feel like doing all the driving and planning, especially since we didn’t know the area at all. And since our English isn’t great, having French-speaking guides was a big comfort.

The service was really personalized. They adapted to our pace and preferences, and we could stop whenever we wanted to take photos. It’s the luxury of being in a small private group—you’re not just a number on a big bus.
In short, we really felt like we were traveling with friends rather than professional guides. Everything’s included in the price (hotel pickup, meals, park entries, etc.), so the value for money is fair.
We loved it so much that we’re already planning to come back next year to explore other areas with them. I think we’ve caught the American West bug—it’s all we can think about, and we can’t wait to return.
