J'ai passé du temps en Amérique latine comme bénévole.
Le mieux que tu puisses faire, c'est de définir ce que tu sais faire, ce que tu peux faire, ce que tu aimerais faire, puis de chercher une ONG qui corresponde à tes désirs, capacités, etc., ou une organoisation locale.
Il y a beaucoup de demandes dans de nombreux pays, mais partir tout seul sans relations sur place est difficile. Tu perdrais pas mal de temps.

Voilà, en fait ce que j'aimerais bien, et pas nécessairement en Amérique Centrale, cela peut être aussi bien en Afrique qu'en Asie. Du moment que je peux me rendre utile en construisant des baraquements par exemple ou en aidant la population locale de quelque autre façon qu'il soit. Il est vrai que je n'ai pas de formation au niveau social. En Amérique Centrale ou Latine ce que j'aimerais par exemple faire c'est aider dans les réserves naturelles et les parcs nationaux.
J'ai une connaissance qui est partie au Nicaragua il y a quelques années et elle m'a notamment parlé de l'extrème pauvreté de la majorité de la population. Il doit bien y avoir quelque chose à faire ne fusse qu'une chose infime pour les aider???
Pour construire des baraquements, les gens savent faire eux-mêmes, lä où ils ont des besoins, c'est surtout dans la gestion de projets, la gestions de micro-entreprises. C'est dans ce domaine qu'il est possible de les aider concrètement. C'est vrai qu'au Nicaragua, la population dans sa majorité est d'une pauvreté extrême.

C'est une bonne idée! Dans quel genre de projet tu voudrais te lancer? Quelqu'un m'a dit que si je voulais aider à l'étranger ce serait plutôt dans la gestion de projets ou de minientreprises qu'ils auraient besoin de gens mais n'ayant pas de formation je ne sais pas ou il faut s'adresser et comment se crée une minientreprise. On peut peut-être se donner mutuellement des idées?!

I’m a volunteer leader at a youth center (MJC), and we’ve been deeply moved by everything happening in Madagascar—extreme poverty, endangered animals, deforestation, and so on. Plus, one of our teens has a Malagasy friend, so our group wants to travel there next year.
Throughout this year, they’ve planned fundraisers to collect donations (sheets, dish towels, schoolbooks, hygiene products, etc.) and funds to cover their trip and stay.
They’re really motivated and generous—they already volunteer in schools and senior centers, and they’re always welcomed warmly.
But so far, they haven’t found any organizations in Madagascar willing to host them for two weeks (orphanages, schools, animal protection parks, etc.).
Does anyone know of any contacts, please?

We currently have 2 wheelchairs that we would like to give to our partner, the Benin Handisport Federation. If you're traveling to Benin, alone or with someone, we could give you one of these 2 wheelchairs (or both). Out of the 40 kg of luggage you're allowed, a wheelchair will only take up less than half. Our partner can pick it up at Cotonou Airport...

Hello, we’d like to travel as a family to Madagascar (2 parents, 2 kids aged 10 and 12). A first trip over 15 years ago completely amazed and moved me with its beauty, kindness, and life experiences—but also its poverty and hardship. That’s why I think it’s possible to introduce our kids to this island while also doing something useful through volunteering. The window is short—15 days in March 2020—which means avoiding the north and east of the island due to cyclones and focusing on the south instead. Some ecovolunteering projects exist online, but the cost is sometimes prohibitive, and kids are rarely accepted. Do you have any ideas or contacts? Thanks in advance!
