étudiant français en architecture sur Paris, je viens d'échouer à mon diplôme de fin d'année...Je dispose d'énormément de temps disponible jusqu'à février 2007. Depuis de nombreuses années, je souhaitais m'investir dans une action humanitaire en Afrique.
Ainsi, je cherche une association humanitaire, qui propose un projet intéressant, et qui pourrait m'accueillir pour une durée à déterminer. Je serai particuliérement intéressé par un projet en Afrique de l'Est (Kenya ou Ethiopie), mais je reste évidemment ouvert à toute proposition...
Je parle bien anglais, et souhaiterai mettre mes connaissances en architecture ou tout simplement prêter main forte à une population. Tout simplement, être utile...
J'aimerai évidemment me rendre sur place pour m'impliquer au maximum dans cette aventure. Je serai disponible à partir de début octobre 2006 pour plusieurs semaines...

Je viens de lire ton message et c'est fou comme je me retrouve dans ta demande. En fait après des candidatures en architecture, j'ai terminé mes études d'ingénieur en construction il y a 2 ans. Je travaille depuis dans le secteur de l'assainissement et de l'eau potable. Mon boulot ne me plaisant qu'à moitié, ça fait déjà un petit temps que l'idée de partir pour faire un projet humanitaire trotte dans ma tête... Et c'est en faisant des recherches que je suis tombée sur ta demande. Le temps que je preste mon préavis, je ne serait pas libre non plus avant le mois d'cotobre. I’m a volunteer leader at a youth center (MJC), and we’ve been deeply moved by everything happening in Madagascar—extreme poverty, endangered animals, deforestation, and so on. Plus, one of our teens has a Malagasy friend, so our group wants to travel there next year.
Throughout this year, they’ve planned fundraisers to collect donations (sheets, dish towels, schoolbooks, hygiene products, etc.) and funds to cover their trip and stay.
They’re really motivated and generous—they already volunteer in schools and senior centers, and they’re always welcomed warmly.
But so far, they haven’t found any organizations in Madagascar willing to host them for two weeks (orphanages, schools, animal protection parks, etc.).
Does anyone know of any contacts, please?

After 8 months of volunteering in Tanzania at a center for street children, I’d like to go back for a year in the same kind of role—this time in Burkina. So I’m looking for contacts in this field, in Ouaga or elsewhere. I’m *super* motivated! It’s been over two years since I got back from Tanzania, and I’m starting to feel restless!

Solidafrica is a recognized humanitarian association of general interest. We donate wheelchairs in Africa. We currently have 2 wheelchairs that we would like to give to our partner, the Benin Handisport Federation. If you're traveling to Benin, alone or with someone, we could give you one of these 2 wheelchairs (or both). Out of the 40 kg of luggage you're allowed, a wheelchair will only take up less than half. Our partner can pick it up at Cotonou Airport...

Hello, we’d like to travel as a family to Madagascar (2 parents, 2 kids aged 10 and 12). A first trip over 15 years ago completely amazed and moved me with its beauty, kindness, and life experiences—but also its poverty and hardship. That’s why I think it’s possible to introduce our kids to this island while also doing something useful through volunteering. The window is short—15 days in March 2020—which means avoiding the north and east of the island due to cyclones and focusing on the south instead. Some ecovolunteering projects exist online, but the cost is sometimes prohibitive, and kids are rarely accepted. Do you have any ideas or contacts? Thanks in advance!
