Trick to the FOL passes is this - buy regular passes, go inside. If its really crowded, you can upgrade your passes - just ask any employee where to go to do this. If you upgrade, the total you pay is the same as if you'd bought FOL passes to begin with. So, doing this costs you nothing, and this way you only pay the extra money if you feel the crowds and the lines warrant doing so. The only (slight) risk is that they only sell a certain number of FOL passes each day, so if you don't buy them initially there's a very slight chance they won't sell you them later, but for the most part this is a sound strategy to use.

Im not sure the "selling out" of Front of the Line Passes would be a worry except at a very few extremely busy times in the year. I think mostly its just a ploy on Universals part to get you to purchase them before your visit. I dont think you would need them for you date even though it will likely be busy.

Mon expérience (plutôt hors-saison il est vrai, mais un W-E quand même) : en arrivant à l'ouverture, et en commençant par les attractions du fond du parc, en contre-bas, et en finissant par les attractions avec plus de public (visite des studios en trains, WaterWorld, ...) nous n'avons quasiment pas attendu (+ nous avions prévu sandwichs pour profiter du creux entre midi et 2h)... [;)]

En faisant exactement comme Pong (arrivés à l'ouverture pour 8h00 et attractions du bas en premier pour finir par les spectacles qui peuvent accueillir beaucoup de monde), nous avons tout fait tranquillement un vendredi 2 août. Il faut juste arriver tôt car à l'ouverture il n'y a pratiquement personne mais l'après-midi c'est par contre blindé.

Je ne sais pas si cette possibilité existe toujours mais j'avais acheté les entrées sur Premium Outlet car un pass valable 3 jours (attention l'entrée n'était pas possible pour certains jours comme le dimanche) coûtait moins cher qu'une entrée à la journée.

Le prix "régulier" est de 169$ pour notre période!
