l'équipe d'OLZI a présenté lors de plusieurs conférences l'action humanitaire Urgence un Hiver en Mongolie
En période d'hiver cette action consistait à venir en aide aux populations Mongoles urbaines (enfants et familles des rues de la capitale Ulan Bator) et nomades (région montagneuse de l'Ovorkhangaï).
Un container de chaises roulantes, couvertures, vêtements, matériel médical et chirurgical collectés par l'intermédiaire de particuliers, médecins, pharmaciens et laboratoires a été convoyé en Mongolie Nous avons rencontré les responsables de 2 hôpitaux lors de notre séjour du 13 au 28 février, pour évaluer les prochains besoins et l'utilisation de cette première aide.
A l'occasion de cette mission, 2 hôpitaux, l'un à Ulan Bator l'autre dans une ville de montagne au centre de la Mongolie ont reçu nos colis, tandis qu'une évaluation des besoins et de l'utilisation durable de l'aide a été menée en relation avec les responsables locaux. L'achat d'une ambulance est prévu pour l'hôpital de montagne, qui en est... dépourvu pour l'instant. A Ulan Bator, Soeur Marie-Dominique, responsable de l'Hôpital de la Charité, a reçu du matériel nécessaire à la guérison des plaies, brûlures et maladies pulmonaires graves subies chaque hiver par les familles et enfants des rues qui vivent dans les égouts de la ville pour s'y réchauffer auprès des canalisations d'eau à 120 degrés...
Dès maintenant nous sommes prêt à relancer un container avec cette fois seulement de l'environnement médical.
Le coût de l'opération est de 4000 € .De plus à l'occasion de nos séjours hivers en mongolie (décembre et mars prochain) nous partirons avec de l'argent pour acheter des vêtement d'hivers sur place et les apporter au nomades qui en ont besoin dans les Aïmag.

I’m a volunteer leader at a youth center (MJC), and we’ve been deeply moved by everything happening in Madagascar—extreme poverty, endangered animals, deforestation, and so on. Plus, one of our teens has a Malagasy friend, so our group wants to travel there next year.
Throughout this year, they’ve planned fundraisers to collect donations (sheets, dish towels, schoolbooks, hygiene products, etc.) and funds to cover their trip and stay.
They’re really motivated and generous—they already volunteer in schools and senior centers, and they’re always welcomed warmly.
But so far, they haven’t found any organizations in Madagascar willing to host them for two weeks (orphanages, schools, animal protection parks, etc.).
Does anyone know of any contacts, please?

After 8 months of volunteering in Tanzania at a center for street children, I’d like to go back for a year in the same kind of role—this time in Burkina. Solidafrica is a recognized humanitarian association of general interest. We donate wheelchairs in Africa. We currently have 2 wheelchairs that we would like to give to our partner, the Benin Handisport Federation. If you're traveling to Benin, alone or with someone, we could give you one of these 2 wheelchairs (or both). Out of the 40 kg of luggage you're allowed, a wheelchair will only take up less than half. Our partner can pick it up at Cotonou Airport...

Hello, we’d like to travel as a family to Madagascar (2 parents, 2 kids aged 10 and 12). A first trip over 15 years ago completely amazed and moved me with its beauty, kindness, and life experiences—but also its poverty and hardship. That’s why I think it’s possible to introduce our kids to this island while also doing something useful through volunteering. The window is short—15 days in March 2020—which means avoiding the north and east of the island due to cyclones and focusing on the south instead. Some ecovolunteering projects exist online, but the cost is sometimes prohibitive, and kids are rarely accepted. Do you have any ideas or contacts? Thanks in advance!
