Holiday in the Algerian Sahara

Hi Zidane, I’m Tuareg myself and live in France—I’d really recommend Djanet, it’s absolutely stunning. If you’d like, I can give you the number of a very good friend of mine who runs a well-known travel agency in Algeria. He’s got a great reputation and very affordable prices. He even organizes trips to Agadez (Niger), Burkina Faso, and Mali, plus amazing camel treks with both camels and dromedaries. I can share my phone number if you’re up for it, so we can chat directly. Alxeir ajjeen = thank you very much, ar assaghat = see you soon! 🙂

Hi, I know my reply is late, but for those looking for the info now: if your main goal is the sand desert, I’d definitely recommend Timimoun or Djanet. Timimoun is stunning for its vast dunes and Saharan landscapes, while Djanet offers a mix of dunes, canyons, and more varied scenery. Both are great choices for 4x4 treks and camel rides. That said, in late July to early August, the heat is really intense, so you’ll need to plan your outings carefully.
