By then, there might be a Kho Rong / Trat connection—would be awesome.

For now, there’s no indication that the boat to Trat will stop at Koh X/Y/Z. Wait and sea.

Good evening Marie-Jo, I’m diving into your Cambodia travel journal (yes, I’m behind on your journals—I really need to buckle down and catch up!!!) I was sorry to hear about all the changes on Koh Tonsay (Rabbit Island). When we went there in 2012, it was so wild—just a few makeshift bungalows, very basic, and you could walk around the whole island. A beautiful 2.5-hour hike on really wild trails, sometimes a little hard to find, but you’d get there with a bit of searching. But that was in 2012—times change, and upscale tourism and concrete are slowly taking over. Too bad... I don’t remember seeing little ladies on chairs in Cambodia either. Anyway, your run-in with the tuk-tuk driver really made me laugh!

Have a great evening

Good evening, Back in 2014, Rabbit Island was still wild—maybe a few more shacks with loungers at the pier. Walking around the island was still a lovely stroll, with a pretty mangrove at the southern tip of Koh Tonsay. Like you, I didn’t see any little ladies around Kep. Safe travels, Eric

Hi there,

Could you let me know if the Kampot - Koh Rong route is still running?

And if so, how long (approximately) does the crossing take?

Thanks in advance! Have a great day

The company’s website is open for bookings, and a simulation for January shows a price of $28.50 p/p (promo price, otherwise $30). The journey still takes about 2h15. https://www.buvasea.com/en/
