Hi there, I’m looking for a travel companion (male or female) for a trip to Algeria, including a few days in Kabylie. Preferably someone of Algerian origin or nationality, aged between 50 and 60. It would be for about a week—we can decide on the dates together. Feel free to DM me.
Looking forward to hearing from you.

Hi there,
I’m looking for a female co-traveler to join me in Oman for a month, from mid-February to mid-March.
We’ll rent a Toyota 4X4 locally for 1 050 € for the month—I’ll be driving the vehicle.
At the moment, there are two vehicles in our group, with a gentleman who’s going for the 4th time.
We’re planning on free camping on-site, alternating with guesthouse stays roughly every 8 days.
Planned itinerary: Muscat, heading south to the Empty Quarter desert, then back up along the coast, with canyon swims along the way, and the Hajar Mountains on the return to Muscat.
I’m a 70-year-old woman, experienced in travel.
Drop me a line for more details.
Thanks!

Why not return to Thailand, which I already know?!
Traveling with someone is just so much nicer!

Bonjour,
Bye Audrey,

I'm looking for an independent companion to share a trip to Brittany around 26/08/2026 for three weeks. Bike touring, cultural visits, birdwatching, etc., and of course, apéros. I love islands and the sea. I'm 70, a retired mountain and canyoning educator and guide. Everyone keeps their own vehicle, but we share meals, visits, etc. My van—I have a Traffic Font Vendôme van. Thanks
I contacted several agencies in Madagascar to arrange this 4x4 trip along the coast.
Always the same answer: a tailor-made trip with at least 2 participants.
Since I don’t want to travel alone and a friend isn’t available, I’m looking for a woman to share this trip with the agency Mahay Mada, which offers a 12-day, 11-night tour of southern Madagascar. I’m available from August 23 to September 14.
Thanks for your direct response at 0784659791. See you soon, Mireille
hi
I'm looking for a travel companion for a week—destination to be decided....
Jallane
Here I am, 80 years old with two trips to Egypt already under my belt, but I still dream of deserts and a bit of adventure. So, I’ve bought my flight ticket for March 4th, returning on the 18th (arrival in Cairo).
My itinerary:
05.03. GEM
06.03. FAYUM OASIS WITH THE VALLEY OF THE WHALES
07. & 08.03. WHITE AND BLACK DESERT
9 & 10.03. ALEXANDRIA, DEPARTURE IN THE EVENING FOR SIWA
11-13.03. SIWA, DEPARTURE IN THE EVENING FOR CAIRO
14-18.03. CAIRO
THE ITINERARY IS MORE OR LESS SET.
Since desert trips can’t be done alone, I’m looking for a travel companion (male or female) for these parts of the trip, but I’m also open to sharing the entire journey. Everything’s negotiable as long as everyone’s clear about what they do or don’t want to do. If anyone’s interested in this itinerary, you can contact me via private message so we can get to know each other and see if our plans align. Just so you know, these desert trips are done with a 4x4, driver, guide, and all the logistics that come with it. All of that comes at a price, which is quite high if you’re traveling solo—that’s why sharing makes sense. Plus, traveling as a pair or even a trio is great for sharing the emotions of the journey.
I’ve got a lot of travel experience, and even at 80, I’m still sharp and full of enthusiasm to start this trip, which I hope won’t be my last.
Looking forward to hearing from you, Mimi

Hello, I’m planning a trip to Vietnam next March and I’m looking for a travel companion. The itinerary isn’t set in stone yet, but I’d definitely like to visit the north and then decide the rest together. I’m thinking of a three-week trip with some hiking, sightseeing, and beach time. My "profile" will give you more info about me—I’d love to chat with potential travel buddies!
Bonjour,
Petite constatation :
je viens de regarder différents sites concernant des compagnes/compagnons de voyage.
Pas mal de demandes effectivement mais jamais aucun retour ni positif ni négatif. Rien de rien.
Dommage.
Lizza
I’d love to settle around Da Nang for about a month and explore the surrounding areas in Vietnam.
I’ve already been to this country and don’t feel like rushing around every day like I used to a few years ago.
I’d really like to find some company to stay for at least a month, and then maybe spend a month in Cambodia...
Given that I’m now 76, I don’t want to run around like I used to, trying to see everything...
I enjoy calm people... Those who love life and with whom I can share a beer... And meet people to create a great atmosphere—la dolce vita....
Hello,
I’d like to do the 550 km Grand Tour of Paris around June 21st—it’s the GR1 trail. I plan to return to Paris each day so I don’t have to carry a heavy pack, and I want to take my time exploring the city as well. I’m looking for a travel companion who’s in good physical shape and loves hiking. I’m 68, a semi-retired teacher (I still enjoy teaching), an international traveler who’s already done a round-the-world trip and wants to do more… Looking forward to getting to know you! Jean Marie

Hello,
I’m 76 years old and travel a lot around the world. I’m planning to go to Oman from March 19 to April 8, 2026. (After that, I’m off to Turkey to meet some friends.)
I’m looking for a fellow traveler to share a car rental to explore some off-the-beaten-path spots.
I just got back from Cape Verde, and before that, I was in the USA, Japan, Chile, etc.
I usually travel solo, and obviously, I meet a lot of people along the way.
For Oman (and Namibia next year), it seems more practical to travel with 2 or 3 people.
That’s all!
Patrice
Hello everyone,
Foreword: I have the moral elegance to keep disparaging comments to private messages. I expect the same in return! I won’t engage with "camel" or "motorcycle" avatars.
Andalusia in all its glory—that’s what I’m offering to a companion who’d love to share every morning of the days to come with me... From Cartagena to Lagos (Portugal), roughly speaking, if I had to sum up my desires. More precisely, 5 to 7 days in each of these towns: Cartagena – Carchuna – Córdoba – Seville – Huelva – Lagos. Having been there twice and visited part of the region, I already have a good idea of what’s interesting or spectacular.
Knowing about the Moors’ historical presence isn’t essential, but it helps understand certain architectural features.
When? Departure between February 20th and 25th, 2026. Why this time? We’ll escape the gloom, rain, and chill that will have settled over France (I’m speaking for my region). Plus, no matter where you go, there’ll be very few tourists at this time, so queues are much shorter, and accommodation rates are at their "low season" prices! (We also gain about an hour of daylight at this latitude.) I’ve already done some research (tedious but necessary...) on 5 towns (Cartagena – Carchuna – Córdoba – Seville – Huelva) plus Lagos (Portugal) regarding accommodation—open to discussion to agree on which to choose.
Of course, I know what to see and do in each area. Up for debate...
Budget? I’d rather discuss that in person. For my part, I’m financially comfortable.
Temperatures: around 16°C during the day in Cartagena, about 18°C in Seville, and around 18°C in Huelva (maybe 1 or 2°C warmer), with very little rain!
Vehicle? A reliable, well-maintained Citroën van. It can carry 2 bikes so we can explore some stunning regional natural parks. Plus, we’ll visit some massive cities—I’m especially thinking of Seville! The driver? Very cautious.
My advantage? I speak the language well. It’s pretty much a must, otherwise, you’re guaranteed to feel down after 2 days (laugh).
Lunch: picnics more for the joy of being outdoors than to save money. Dinner at local restaurants or fondas.
Preference for a companion living within a 2-hour drive of Castres (81), to make meet-ups easier as we "get to know each other" and finalize plans. Exception: if you live within 25 km of La Roche-sur-Yon—I’m considering moving there.

Hello or Guten Tag,
Departure planned between 15 and 20/09.
Why Austria? For me, it’s a way to escape the 30°C that might still be lingering in southern France—but that’s not the only reason...
For budget info, on average, the cost of living in Austria in 2024 is 3% lower than in France.
Looking for a female companion living in the Castres/81 area or in 85/Vendée, where I actually plan to move. Her personality? I’d prefer to discuss that in private messages.
If she doesn’t have an e-bike (I have an excellent one), we can swap our “rides” from time to time. Oh... She should be around 1.70 m tall (that’s my height), and there’s no adjustment needed (saddle height + handlebars). Don’t take it to mean that anyone under 1.70 m is automatically out—I can fix a flat tire, I’m resourceful, and I’ve got a good sense of initiative.
I should mention that we’ll be riding in temperatures between 18 and 21°C. So, if you’re a travel lover who doesn’t mind slightly cooler weather, you’re welcome!
I have a “good level of English language pass,” which is essential for communicating with locals, though some will understand French. Personally, I understand about twenty words of German.
Some stretches without much interest can be covered by train. I’m thinking Salzburg–Passau. To be discussed...
No need to panic, Monique! The elevation gain might seem intimidating, but spread over 802 km, it’s not too bad.
Outbound trip: by car, left in a safe place in Constance or at the hotel where we’d have spent 3 nights. To negotiate with the manager...
Return by train from Wien (that’s Vienna in German, please!) for between 38 € and 80 €. We’ll see when we’re there...
I’m planning 2 to 3 nights in Constance, given the beauty of the lake (water between 22 and 24°C—maybe a swim?) and the interest this city holds.
Fancy getting close to Austria’s highest peak (3800 m) after climbing a pass (a pass with a unique feature in Europe) at 2504 m?
Want to have fun like a teenager on Europe’s longest summer toboggan run (on rails) for 3535 m?
Want to follow the Danube River for about 317 km on the EuroVelo route 6, a path dedicated just to cyclists?
Want to explore Tyrol for 3 or 4 days?
Want to discover Vienna and its surroundings? FYI: late September, around 20°C.
I’ll be equipped with an excellent vocal GPS. So no fumbling to find an address.
Why this country? We’re in the Eurozone. Budget? Hard to pin down. It’ll depend on the accommodations we choose. I’m estimating around 60 to 70 € per day per person while there.
Lunch as a picnic. In such a setting, it’s a must! Dinner at a restaurant-inn.
Oh... One important point. I’m a heavy sleeper. Nearly 10 hours of rest. After that, I’m in a great mood. I also enjoy a nap of at least an hour after lunch if the spot allows (shady and quiet).
Hi there, I’m looking for one or more women to join me in Italy—specifically Genoa—at the end of May or in June.
Departure from Charleroi, with round-trip tickets currently around 60 €. We can figure out accommodation together afterward—separate rooms, of course.
Once we’re there, we could take the train to the Cinque Terre.
If you’re from northern France or Belgium, feel free to get in touch!
Hi everyone,
I’m from Annecy and I’ve traveled quite a bit, thanks to VF and friends.
I’m looking for someone to travel with for a month in December. I could add New Zealand and later Japan or Bali. I’ve traveled often, in backpacker style, but I also enjoy comfort.
I’d prefer someone who doesn’t live too far from my area so we can meet beforehand.
I’m 70 years old, I love walking, music, water, nature, and sometimes just listening to the silence...
Looking forward to hearing from you. Cécile
Bonjour,
