When leaving Marrakech, you can head straight to Ouzoud to see the waterfalls, which should be really awesome this year since Morocco got a lot of rain. After that, you make your way back to Skoura via Route 307. That’s what we did—it’s gorgeous. And on your way back to Marrakech at the end of your trip, you’ll see Ait Benhaddou. This way, you don’t have to take the same road twice. And you save Essaouira for the end.

I recently stopped by Taliouine. I wanted to visit the young cobbler, but everything was closed. I get the feeling he’s shut up shop.

Really lovely travel journal that I’m following with great pleasure. Some places I know, but I enjoy seeing them through your eyes. It’s so interesting!

I live in the area year-round and honestly, I don’t run into any issues driving even in the middle of summer. I avoid going to Perros-Guirec on August 15th because it’s the festival, and I avoid Paimpol during the Fête des Chants Marins weekend unless I’m going for the show. But other than that, no problems. There might be roadworks, but what else can you do? For major works, the municipalities make sure they’re finished before the summer season.

You might be wondering about driving back from the beaches? Don’t worry, you won’t have any issues.

Are the beaches accessible?

Pour échapper au vent très présent sur le littoral hier après midi, on a fait une escapade à Pontrieux, petite cité de caractère, cité des lavoirs et des lavandières. Les touristes y étaient venus en nombre, les uns en train à vapeur les autres en bateau ou encore en voiture. C'était charmant ! Le centre ville et ses promenades en barques pour mieux voir les lavoirs fleuris et mis en scène, le port et ses nombreux voiliers et kayakistes, son écluse. C'est très bien arrangé. Nous qui avons l'habitude de privilégier la côte et le bord de mer on a été séduits par le charme de Pontrieux. Et tout l'après-midi sans la moindre goutte d'eau que du soleil ! Ce n'est pas ce qui nous avait été annoncé...

Pourquoi pas dès que j'aurai un peu de temps. Nous qui sommes retraités, c'est pendant l'été qu'on est le plus occupés. Alors, ça va attendre un peu !

Je viens de passer quelques jours dans la presqu'île de Crozon et je me suis régalée aussi. La Bretagne est magnifique, j'en suis abso convaincue.

Les campings municipaux peuvent correspondre à vos souhaits. Plougrescant, Port Blanc, Buguéles sont agréables et au bord de l'eau.
