There are street money changers in all tourist cities, even if it's not entirely legal. ATMs are also everywhere, but sometimes they're empty or out of service due to power outages. It's definitely better to have both a Visa and a MasterCard. However, exchanging soums for foreign currency isn’t easy! Sometimes, changing money at banks takes forever. Don’t exchange your euros for dollars just to convert them into soums later—double the fees! !

Make sure to fill out your MDAC form online before you leave.

Hi Travel 1234, and thanks for your reply. I already have my ticket to enter via Yangon. I’d like to head down to the Thai border and take a boat to Ranong. The crossing was indeed allowed in early 2024. Is it still possible in the other direction? - From Yangon, how far south can I go without any issues? (I’ve already been to Myanmar five times.) - I saw there are flights from Dawei to Kawthaung. Can I get down to Dawei by bus or train in several stages? - Why do I need to bring a lot of cash? Is it for bribes, or have prices skyrocketed? - Do you have any airline recommendations for domestic flights (online booking)? I can’t find anything online. - No worries about coffee—I land in Yangon on January 10th.

Pour moi c'est simple , premièrement étant une mastercard, elle n'était pratiquement pas acceptée la ou j'étais ( Asie centrale). Après impossible de me connecter a l'appli, et pour finir au Laos j'ai eu un retrait débité mais sans avoir eu l'argent et j'ai mis deux mois a le récupérer. Du coup je l'ai mise a la poubelle !

Vérifier bien, il y a de la concurrence ! Ça peut vous paraitre le paradis, mais c'est pas si simple.

Bonjour, tout à fait d'accord avec Luan, tu peux zapper Vientiane et Vang Vieng et te concentrer sur le nord ( perso j'aime bien l'est : Sam Neua, Vieng xai...). Pour Phnom Penh , ajoutes la prison S21 et les Killing fields

J'y ai fait une escale avec un couple il y a deux ans, ils se sont embrassés dans l'aéroport et les flics sont venu immédiatement et étaient prêt à leur mettre une amande. N'achètes pas d'alcool en duty free en France car là-bas c'est interdit de débarquer avec , même en transit !

On ne m'a jamais demandé de billet retour, par contre on m'a souvent demandé ma réservation d’hôtel , au moins pour ma première nuit.
