Welcome to the group, Régine, the Lyon cicada! I signed up at the last minute for a 15-day trip to the Baltic countries with Atalante starting July 12. It’s a small, guided group trip (I’ve traveled with them before when they were Club-Aventure and Humans). Since I’m a bit disorganized and plan things like a broomstick, I’m paying the max price for peak season, but oh well—I’m breaking the piggy bank. That said, I don’t intend to stew in my dried-up Cévennes rivers in August and the following months. The idea of a meet-up via video call needs work—we’ll have to sort out the tech (webcam, suitable software) for everyone. I have electronics skills (it was my job), but not IT know-how to give advice, though it should definitely be doable.

Marianne, for this summer, I’m looking into a trip to Northern Europe—options include Ireland, Scotland, Norway, Sweden, Finland, etc.—and I’d love to do it as a group. Your idea of a video call meet-up is great. In-person is even better, but it might be trickier to organize. I’d love to take a trip to Northern Europe (or somewhere else) in July or August 2026—just to escape the future heatwave—and the idea of putting together a group of seniors really appeals to me. Just a heads-up: I’ve got a pretty dry sense of humor!!!

Bonjour, au mois d'août 2018, j'ai l'intention de faire en solo le tour de la Bretagne en itinérant. sans faire un planning très précis avant de partir, je voyagerai au jour le jour, au grès de mon humeur, là où le vent m'emportera, quitte à passer plusieurs jours quelque part si l'endroit me plait. Pour le logement, j'envisage les chambres d'hôtes, (avec table d'hôte de préférence, du moins pour le repas du soir). Dans ma voiture, j'amènerai aussi un vélo et chaussures de rando pour les balades locales, (et bien sûr palmes, masque et tuba). Activités sportives, nature et culture, c'est le thème. les incontournables à voir? les bonnes adresse d'hébergement? les balades à faire? les pièges à toutou à éviter? les perles hors des sentiers battus? les festivités?
