A slightly less known Japan
Thanks so much for your reply. No luck for us—it’s not available for our dates.
We’ll rely on Booking for accommodation close to public transport. Your photos are really lovely, and thanks again for such a well-documented travel journal.
Best regards,
Patricia
A Lesser-Known Side of Japan
Hi there! In late March 2027, my friend and I will be in Kyoto, and we're currently planning our trip. Could you share the name of the ryokan where you stayed? There are so many that it's tricky to choose. Is it located near public transportation?
Thanks for your reply, and a huge thank you for your travel journal—it's really inspiring! Pat

3 beautiful weeks during the Japanese autumn
I’ll say it again—your stories and photos are absolutely fascinating. I’ll definitely be borrowing some ideas for our trip next spring. After reading this first Japan travel journal, I’m already eager to plan a second visit in autumn 2027. I think we’ll be truly delighted to explore Japan.
Best regards

Hello again,
At last, I can finally read it. Computers have some secrets I’ll never uncover.
Have a great day! Best regards,

A Less Well-Known Japan
Hi,
Thanks for your reply. Unfortunately, I don’t understand why, but I can’t access your travel journal *3 Beautiful Weeks in Japan*.
I’ll try again later—I might have better luck.

A slightly less touristy Japan
Hello,
Your travel journal is really interesting—I’ll be drawing inspiration from it for our trip in spring 2027. The photos are a great bonus and really fuel my imagination.
Japan will be a first for us (two friends). That said, we’ll only be there for 14 days, so we’ll probably skip Hiroshima this time. We’re flying from Brussels to Osaka with a layover in Bangkok on Thai Airways.
Did you write a journal after your first trip to Japan?
Thanks for sharing your story and photos.
Best regards
Japan: First Discovery!
Thanks for all these beautiful photos and your valuable tips.
Discovering Japan in spring 2027, so I’m taking note of your advice.
Have a great day
Show me your Japan...
Thank you for this beautiful travel journal—it’s a real feast for the eyes. Your illustrations fuel my imagination and reinforce my desire to explore Japan. I’ll definitely draw inspiration from them to plan the itinerary for my first trip to the Land of the Rising Sun in spring 2027.
Have a great day!
Pat.
Uzbekistan - Finally Made It There - Summer 2022
Thanks, I’ll drop a little comment when I’m back!

Uzbekistan - Finally made it - Summer 2022
Hi there,
I’m struggling a bit to reply—I’ve had to start over for the third time! A clumsy click and *poof*, everything disappeared, even though I’d finished describing the trip.
This itinerary was put together by Turquoise Travel for two culture-loving friends who enjoy soaking up the local vibe. We can tweak the program as we go, depending on our mood.
We’ll have a driver and local guides, but also free time to wander and maybe stumble upon some great photo ops. Of course, the main tourist highlights are included. We booked our accommodations through Booking after reading travel blogs.
We arrive and visit Tashkent, then head to Samarkand by train in the late afternoon for two days of sightseeing.
On the fourth day, we travel via Shakhrisabz to Ayrikaya, where we’ll stay with a local family for two nights. A hike in the Zarafshan Mountains and a picnic with shepherds are on the agenda.
We’ll return to Samarkand via Urgut and its thousand-year-old plane trees, with some free time in Samarkand.
The next day, we head to Lake Aydarkul and its yurt camp for one night.
On the way to Bukhara via Nurata, we’ll also visit a ceramicist in Gijduvan.
Three days to explore Bukhara—I hope I can visit a hammam.
We’ll continue to Khiva for two days before flying back to Tashkent from Urgench. One last afternoon in Tashkent for a final stroll.
We’ll return to Brussels via Istanbul very early in the morning, marking the end of the trip.
That’s pretty much everything!
Thanks again for your inspiring stories.
Have a great evening
Uzbekistan - Finally made it there - Summer 2022
Thanks for your really interesting story. We’re heading to Uzbekistan on August 30th for 15 days of exploring. Your post just confirms we made the right choice for our destination.
Uzbek notes
Thank you for this beautiful story. Your writing is elegant and a joy to read. You’ve really confirmed our choice for Uzbekistan. Two friends and I are heading there at the end of August for 15 days of discovery with Turquoise Travel, but we booked our accommodations through Booking. We hope to have as wonderful an experience as yours and bring back just as beautiful photos.
Carnet Namibie Kaokoland, partie 1/3
