je lance un SOS car je dois donner ma réponse très vite au voyagiste.

On me propose pour aller aux Maldives de passer par Emirates. Seulement, ce sont des vols de nuit,

et pour le retour notamment, on va partir de l'hotel dans la journée, et passer la nuit dans l'aéroport à Malé en attendant le départ de l'avion. Après, on ne me dit pas combien de temps je vais attendre à Dubai pour revenir sur Paris.

Je suppose que les heures des avions sont toujours un peu les mêmes.

Qq1 a t-il déjà fait aussi ce "circuit" PAris-Dubai-Malé via Emirates ?

Quels étaient les délais d'attente ( et les conditions à l'aéroport) entre les transferts ????

j aurai voulu savoir s il etait faisable de faire "un petit tour" au bresil a partir du perou en passant par un trek ou un itineraire de jungle pas trop risqué au niveau secu que se soit au sud ou au nord peu importe sur 3 mois c'est plus maléable.

Is it easy to pay for accommodations by card, or is it better to have cash? Also, any idea about the cost of living? Is 1000 € per person for 3 weeks enough for accommodation, food, and ferries? Hi everyone, here’s a little trip report from San José del Guaviare, in the Guaviare department of Colombia.

First, the journey: an overnight bus from Bogotá. The bus terminal is a 20-minute taxi ride from the airport (30,000 COP). The bus company that goes down to San José is Flota Macarena, located in sector 2 of the terminal. The bus terminal is big, with plenty of places to eat and lots of little shops. The bus seats are pretty small but manageable—comfortable enough. We left at 10:30 PM and arrived around 7:00 AM the next morning.

First thing to note: the center of San José, right by the river, is really dirty, noisy, and not very pleasant. We stayed at Hotel Malecon, by the river, where the Malecon promenade is supposed to be the nice spot to walk along the river. Well, no—it’s completely abandoned, with trash everywhere. The hotel itself is in what we nicknamed the "scrap metal district," since that’s pretty much all you see—scrap yards and garages. Not exactly pleasant and kind of sketchy at first glance. A room with AC and a balcony at Hotel Malecon costs 120,000 COP per night. For one night, it was fine since we hadn’t booked anything in advance. After that, we moved to an Airbnb in the neighborhood with the soccer stadium—a really nice and quiet area. The little tip here is that there’s a pool behind the stadium—8,000 COP to swim, and there’s a bar right across the street. Honestly, it’s great to have a place to cool off because it was *really* hot in San José.

Now, let’s talk about the main attraction here: the natural sites. We visited Puerta de Orión (free entry, but the guide—mandatory—costs 10,000 COP per person), the natural pools (15,000 COP entry), Balneario La Lindosa (5,000 COP to swim), and Las Delicias waterfall (10,000 COP)—that last one was our favorite. The sites are really cool, and I’d definitely recommend visiting them. It’s pure nature out there.

For accommodations, a lot of places are located outside San José, near the tourist sites. At first, we wanted to stay out there, but without a car, it’s a real hassle. So if you’re not driving, stick to San José.

Getting to all these sites by taxi costs around 30,000 COP one way, except for Las Delicias waterfall, which is farther away—70,000 COP one way. Taxis within the urban area of San José cost 6,000 COP. The bus from San José to Villavicencio with Flota Macarena costs 78,000 COP and takes between 5 and 6 hours.

To wrap up, our 5 days in San José were really great. We were pleasantly surprised by how friendly the people there are—it really stands out.

So if you’re looking for a spot that’s still off the mass-tourism radar, come here! It’s nice, and there are plenty of other sites we didn’t get to see.

We’re heading to Quebec in just over a week to meet up with our son, a young adult on a Working Holiday Visa who’s been there for nearly a year 🙂🙂🙂 and I still have a few questions:

1) We’re starting with 3 nights near Shawinigan (Lac à la Tortue). The day after we arrive, we’ll have a relaxed day with one or two activities (sugar shack in St-Mathieu-du-Parc? A seaplane ride?). Any other suggestions? (Besides Parc de la Mauricie, which we’ll visit the next day.)

2) Then, we’ll head to Quebec City via the Chemin du Roy, where we’ll spend 3 nights, followed by a scenic drive to La Malbaie. We’ll be staying in St-Aimé-des-Lacs near Hautes-Gorges de la Malbaie National Park for another 3 nights. One day will be dedicated to hiking in the park—likely the Acropole des Draveurs for our son, and the Riverain trail plus two shorter walks for my husband and me, since he can’t use hiking poles. So, I’m unsure about the second day: should we go back to the park for the cruise, or do something else nearby? Any suggestions?

3) After St-Aimé-des-Lacs, we’ll spend 3 nights in Tadoussac. We’ll definitely stop at Port-au-Persil, but since the drive isn’t too long, we’ll arrive pretty quickly (I think you say "rendu" here 😉). I was thinking of exploring Tadoussac that day, doing the Pointe de l’Islet trail, the Estuary trail, and the Dunes lookout. The second day, we’d head toward Les Bergeronnes and Les Escoumins to visit the interpretation center and take a Zodiac cruise. I was considering Neptune because they offer covered boats. Any other options? And on the third day, we’d go to Sainte-Rose-du-Nord via the Saguenay Fjord National Park’s Baie Sainte-Marguerite sector to hike part of the "Le Fjord" trail from the Beluga Observation Center. I’m aware this trail requires a park access fee. However, I just realized that the trails we planned for the first day (Estuary and Pointe de l’Islet) are also part of the Tadoussac sector of the park. Do we need to pay the access fee (10.10 CAD) for these two short trails? If so, it might make sense to do them on the third day. In that case, can we pay the fee in Tadoussac, then head to the Baie Sainte-Marguerite sector and use the same ticket?

I'm looking for hikers to walk the Saint-Guilhem Way in spring 2026 from May 17th to 30th and form a small group of 4 to 5 people.

Full route of the Saint-Guilhem Way starting from Aumont-Aubrac to Saint-Guilhem-le-Désert, passing through the Tarn and Jonte gorges (so taking the variant via Le Rozier).

Daily stages of 17 to 28 km depending on difficulty, places to visit, and accommodations. Around 260 km over 12 days of hiking and about 6 to 7 hours of walking per day.

Duration: 14 days (12 days of hiking + 1 arrival day / 1 departure day). No performance goals—just taking the time to see, discover, and enjoy the scenery.

Hi, I’d like to stay on several islands in the Maldives solo with a budget of under 120 € for 2 people per day for accommodation and food. I’m not including transport. Is this possible? On Booking, I’ve found hotels for under 80 € that seem great, some even offer half-board for 20 € for 2. I thought you’d need a much bigger budget… Do you know the price of a meal at a local restaurant on the inhabited islands? And drinks? From what I’ve heard, there’s no alcohol there, right? I’d also like to know if it’s easy to travel between atolls and from one island to another by boat. Do you have any island recommendations? I’m planning to stay for 3 weeks and visit 4-5 islands. This destination is almost always offered as all-inclusive stays with pretty luxurious hotels, so I’m finding very little info on how to do it without pre-organized trips. Hello, I need some advice because I can't decide on an itinerary. We're going to join our son around September 20th, who's spending a year in Canada on a working holiday visa. I did the classic Quebec loop over 30 years ago, so I’m ruling out the Saguenay Fjord and Lac Saint-Jean right away. Here are the stops (overnights) I’ve tentatively planned:

D1-2-3: Quebec City D4: Malbaie Gorges National Park via Routes 360 and 362 D5: Malbaie Gorges National Park (fishing and canoeing) D6: Tadoussac (walks and whale watching from the shore, hiking up to Cap du Bon Désir) D7: Whale-watching zodiac excursion – ferry – Bic National Park D8: Bic National Park D9: Carleton-sur-Mer via the Matapedia Valley D10: Percé D11: Percé (Bonaventure Island excursion) D12: Forillon National Park D13: Forillon National Park D14: Sainte-Anne-des-Monts via Route 132 D15: Sainte-Anne-des-Monts (Gaspésie National Park) D16: Kamouraska D17: Quebec City D18-19-20: Montreal

I feel like one night in Tadoussac is too short. Wouldn’t it be better to add another night there and only spend one night in Sainte-Anne-des-Monts, skipping Gaspésie National Park? Just to clarify, we love nature and hiking but limit ourselves to about 10 km per day.

Also, I’m wondering about the distances (even though I tried to keep them reasonable), the short stops (max 2 nights except in Quebec City and Montreal, so not much time to settle in), and the weather in Gaspésie in late September-October (my husband doesn’t handle the cold well). Maybe it’d be better to only go as far as Bic National Park, then head back, and add more nights at Malbaie Gorges National Park (I didn’t stay in a park on my first trip, and my son, who got his fishing license, would be proud to bring us dinner 😊), Tadoussac, and maybe around Bic/Rimouski?

One last detail: the plan is to land in Quebec City, rent a car on D4, return it on D17, and take the train or bus to Montreal the next day, where we’ll catch our flight 4 days later. This is to cut down on rental costs and avoid having a car in Quebec City.

Hi everyone, I’m planning a third trip to Madagascar in 2026. This time, heading north and then part of the west coast before going back up. The question I’m asking myself—same as during our first visits—is Nosy Be or not? Of course, the photos show stunning beaches, and when you mention Madagascar, almost everyone says Nosy Be or at least has heard of it. That’s actually why we didn’t include it in our itineraries before, especially since we’d already seen paradise-like beaches in the south, and we had them all to ourselves because they were hard to reach. On the other hand, I’ve always been drawn to Île Sainte-Marie, but from the north, you have to go back down to Tana, which I’m okay with in principle. So, what’s your take? Nosy Be and its surroundings—what do you think? Just tourists looking to party? Thanks

Which islands/accommodations can you recommend for a modest budget, and not too far from the airport? Some islands are reachable in a few hours by public ferry. But do they have beautiful beaches, translucent water, and nice fish and coral? I’ve seen some reasonably priced places to stay but I’m struggling to get a sense of the quality/beauty of the beaches. Voyageant souvent à l'international (hors UE), je me suis retrouvé avec une question à laquelle je ne sais pas répondre: Sur un Vol Pari - Bamako - Paris, donc en zone internationale, Y a t'il une différence de taxe si on achète en Duty Free à CDG entre l'aller et le retour ? C'est à dire que étant voyageur français, il sera indiqué comme destination finale sur mon billet retour : Paris. Dans ce cas est ce que j'aurais les mêmes avantages qu'à l'aller avec la destination finale Bamako ?

Cette question peut paraître un peu déb... mais j'ai un doute puisque je n'ai jamais rien acheté en DF lors d'un vol retour vers la France...
