Voila je pars en Italie au mois de septembre pendant une semaine avec 3 amies. Nous sommes toutes étudiantes et disposons donc de peu de moyens alors je pense que le camping est le plus approprié. Nous avons décidé de visiter le nord de la Toscane Pise Florence et Sienne et si nos moyens nous le permettent nous descendrons dans le sud Caplbio Talamone Saturnia ( je rêve de faire les thermes😉). Voila je voulais donc savoir si quelqu'un connaissait des camping sympas et pas trop chers dans les environs de ces villes. Et également si quelqu'un a des suggestions sur des choses à voir ou à faire dans la région. Merci bien

je suis ent train de commencer à organiser mes vacances en Italie pour ma petite famille (2 adultes + enfants de 6 e 2 ans à la date du voyage).

Nous resterons 3 semaines, et nous serons logés à Vasto (Abruzzes).

Je souhaite absolument visiter Rome, Florence et Naples. Accessoirement, ce serait aussi sympa s'il était possible de visiter Pise, Sienne, Genova....

Je viens vers vous pour des conseils d'itinéraire pour ces vacances, des conseils d'hotels sur Rome (car j'imagine qu'1 jour sera tout à fait insuffisant), voire même sur Florence, vos coups de coeur sur notre route (qui sait s'ils deviendront les miens), vos conseils, avis, les indispensables, les inoubliables, les superficiels, vos conseils resto....

Voilà, on descend sur Naples et sa région au printemps. Départ de Vaison la Romaine, le 22 Avril...juste après avoir voté....!! On veut faire une étape en route...on a notre réservation sur Pompéi qu'à partir du lundi soir.

Nous atterissons à Pise pour 4 jours tout début avril (autour de Pâques)...mais il y a bien trop de choses à faire..aidez moi à faire un choix! Nous hésitons entre les villages de Toscane (notamment autour de Sienne) ou les 5 terres: - 5 terres: Portovenere est elle une bonne base? le bateau est-il une bonne solution? Y a t-il des taifs pour toute la journée permettant de descande visiter et de reprendre le bateau? Le temps est-il correct habituellement à cette période? - Villages de Toscane, que privilégier? Quel circuit?

Bonjour, nous partons au mois d'août en Toscane (Tavarnelle Val di Pesa) avec deux fillettes de 7 ans. Les visites de Florence, Sienne et San Giminiano sont prévues... savez-vous si dans ce coin il y a des sites plus spécifiques aux enfants : zoo, parcs d'attraction... Merci de votre aide, Sonia

Nous partons dans moins de deux semaines au Vietnam essentiellement + SiemReap pour 3/4 jours. Nous allons sillonner le Nord et le sud du pays (en train surtout, bateau, bus, et autres ...) aussi, une carte routière sera indispensable. Si quelqu'un cède la sienne (pas trop ancienne quand même) contre une modique somme, je suis preneuse.

D'autre part, existe-t-il un site où sont répertoriés les horaires de train pour le pays ?? A la gare d'Hanoi, donnent t-ils des horaires papier pour la plupart des destinations ? En juillet Août, faut-il prévoir de réserver plusieurs jours à l'avance pour des trajets de jour ? (sachant que les couchettes sont à prévoir plus. jours avant).

C'est un agriturismo qui propose plein de choses sympa sur place, et ce qui me plaît le plus ce sont des cours de cuisine toscane 😊 Pensez vous que ce soit un attrape nigaud ou qu'au contraire ce soit une super expérience 😊 ?

Idem ils proposent des tours en ballon pour voir la Toscane par en haut... quelqu'un a-t-il déjà testé??

3) Resto à Monteriggioni

Avez vous un conseil coup de coeur pour un restaurant à Monteriggioni ?

Apparemment des tas de locations de vélos avec des circuits etc. en Toscane! Je ne suis pas une grande sportive, est-ce une région accidentée ou plate? En cherchant un peu sur le net, j'ai trouvé les coordonnées d'un camping situé pas très loin de Florence et de Sienne. C'est le "Semifonte" à Barbelina val d'Elsa. Quelqu'un le connaît-il ? On m'avait également parlé du Michelangelo, quelqu'un y a-t-il déjà campé et quelles sont ses impressions ? Voilà, je prévois partir avec mon copain pour un petit périple en Toscane. Nous serons en Italie du 20 juin au 5 juillet et débarquons à Rome. Nous imaginons faire le trajet Rome - Sienne en train et, éventuellement se louer une voiture en Toscane pour faire le tour et surtout nous permettre de dormir hors des grands centres.

Quelqu'un a-t-il déjà loué une voiture en Italie? Combien coûte l'essence là-bas et quelle distance peut-on parcourir avec un plein d'essence dans les petites voitures de location? Est-ce une idée qui fait sens ou pas, selon votre expérience?

En même temps, si quelqu'un avait de bons conseils à me donner sur l'hébergement en Toscane, ils seraient évidemment les bienvenus!!

visites sur Rome: ville + excursion 1 jour à Napoli et pompei; tivoli ?

visites sur florence: ville + pise + sienne + excursion région du chianti

visites sur Venise: ville + murano +burano + lido + Padoue

fiumicino: ostia antica (ruines)

Ma grande question: 😊est-ce qu'il y a des endroits à ne pas manquer dans les environs de ces villes côté nature, paysage, architecture et petits villages hors circuits etc...Nous voyagerons en train. Mes appartements sont déjà tous réservés dans les villes mentionnées plus haut.

Three of our grandchildren came to spend the last weekend of the holidays at our house. With her driver’s license just in hand, the oldest took her sister and a cousin along. I was talking about VoyageForum, and the conversation turned to AI, which finds writing travel journals a breeze—churning out amazing ads for this or that country and even nudging tourists to visit one place over another.

And then, miracle—Jules asks: "Do you have the book? Can I borrow it?"

I’m so relieved—young people aren’t completely devoured by technology yet. And the forum will keep its charm and usefulness for a long time. Phew!

A little travel journal of our few days in Tuscany in August 2024 with our three daughters aged 16 months, 4, and 6. A beautiful trip but ruined by extreme heat. The same thing in spring or autumn would have been magical.

Itinerary We used our own car for this mini-trip.

Visits

Lucca is less well-known than its neighbors Florence, Pisa, and Siena. Yet it was already a prosperous city during the Renaissance. The Duomo is magnificent, and strolling along the ramparts in the shade of the trees is very pleasant. The large square, where the buildings were constructed using the walls of the amphitheater, is a curiosity. We used the stroller.

Pisa needs no introduction, but it’s also impossible to pass by without stopping. Alexandre and I had already visited it 15 years ago, so this time we didn’t climb the tower or go inside the Duomo. We arrived around 5 PM, so we were short on time, but the heat had dropped, which made the visit very enjoyable.

Siena is a magnificent city but dry. There’s no watercourse here, which has always been the city’s problem. Everything was designed, including the slope of the main square to collect water. The Duomo is absolutely stunning. We bought the pass to visit the Duomo, the baptistery, the crypt, the museum of the works, the panorama, and the “Gate of Heaven.”

The “Gate of Heaven” is a guided tour that allows you to climb to the top of the Duomo, walk under the roof to see the framework, and admire the beautiful frescoes on the floor from above, as well as the stained glass and ceiling paintings from much closer. Of course, the view of Siena from up there is splendid. It’s really worth it. We left the stroller downstairs, and Alex carried Artemisia.

The museum of the works contains some magnificent paintings and original sculptures from the Duomo.

We didn’t find a park for a picnic. We had to settle for a public garden that wasn’t really well-maintained.

Our visit for the “Gate of Heaven” was at 6:30 PM, so we had dinner in Siena. The restaurant was expensive and disappointing. However, we enjoyed the city’s parade—lots of people in costume, plenty of colors, and brass band music. Nice.

Val d’Orcia

The first goal was to see the famous “Gladiator” house, which was used as a set in Ridley Scott’s film. You’ll have to settle for a photo because it’s not open for visits. The place is pretty, but no more so than many Tuscan estates, so I’d say it’s not worth the detour.

We visited the lovely village of San Quirico d’Orcia, where we had a picnic. In the afternoon, we saw the beautiful Abbey of San Galgano and the Chapel of San Lorenzo, where a sword is planted in the stone (its owner stopped waging war to dedicate his life to God—no apparent connection to the legend of King Arthur). The abbey is in ruins, but the site, planted with cypress trees and sunflower fields, is very beautiful.

Volterra

Volterra is a hilltop village with many facets, aside from a still-active penitentiary in the old fortification.

We bought the “Volterra Card” to visit, in particular, the Palazzo dei Priori, which is as beautiful inside as it is outside, and to climb to the top of the tower, where the view is magnificent.

The Roman ruins (especially the amphitheater and arenas under excavation)

The alabaster museum is very small but highlights one of the region’s ongoing activities.

The Etruscan art museum is a must-see. It’s a high-quality museum with many pieces, mainly richly decorated tombs depicting the lives of the deceased. And it’s air-conditioned!

It’s a bit of a hassle with the stroller. A baby carrier would have been more practical.

We had a picnic in the lovely Enrico Fiumi Park (with playgrounds for kids), which overlooks the city.

There are many charming shops in Volterra for bringing back souvenirs, especially food-related ones.

I find that hotels are very expensive in Italy, so I opted for a farmhouse rental.

We picnicked at lunchtime and ate at restaurants or in our accommodation in the evening. Unfortunately, I can’t recommend any great restaurants.

Budget

Accommodation: 120 € per night

Volterra family card: 20 €

Our trip to Puglia left a bitter taste—between the trash, privatized beaches, and relentless heat.

But on our way home, a short stop in Tuscany reconciled us with Italy.

This new summer, we’ve decided to add this beautiful region to our itinerary!

As usual for relatively nearby destinations, we’ll be driving via the Col de la Lombarde on the way there and Mont Cenis Pass on the way back.

A chance to kill two birds with one stone: one trip, multiple landscapes crossed.

For our Tuscan stay, we’ve chosen a house tucked away in the Chianti vineyards.

Peace and quiet, barely disturbed by the occasional wild boar or deer!

You’ve probably gathered that we won’t be sightseeing fanatics, even if classics like Siena, Florence, San Gimignano, Pisa, and the Abbey of Saint Michael of the Cluse are on the agenda.

Je me pose plusieurs questions:

Ou dormir? A Spezia ou Levanto? Ou alors mieux, dans l'un des villages? Nous y serons en voiture et cherchons donc un hôtel avec parking. Est-ce que dormir à Vernazza, Manarolla ou Monterosso est une bonne idée?

J'ai lu quelque part, je ne me souviens plus où, que l'accès au parc national sera peut-être restreint (nombre maximal de visiteurs par jour). Est-ce que c'est déjà le cas?

Est-il possible de rejoindre certains villages par bateau, au mois d'octobre?

Combien de jours devons-nous compter pour visiter les 5 villages?

Où peut-on acheter la Cinque Terre Card? Qu'est-ce qui est inclut dans cette carte?

Faut-il une carte séparée pour le train ou doit on le payer lors de chaque trajet?

Nous avons en tout 8-9 jours de vacances. Nous comptons une petite journée pour descendre en Italie. Est-ce que un arrêt à Portofino est une bonne idée? J'ai lu qu'il fallait mieux laisser la voiture à Santa Margherita Ligurie afin d'éviter les problèmes de parking.

Puis, nous pensons aussi visiter "les alentours". Est-il raisonnable d'inclure une visite de Pise, Florence et/ou Sienne? Par exemple, une journée pour chaque ville?

Y a-t-il d'autres incontournables dans la région?
