Je voulais partir en californie en février mais la température à cette période m'a fait repousser ce voyage.
J'ai donc décider de partir en Floride et j'au quelques questions à vous poser.
Tout dabord, je compte partir 10 jours.
Je pense faire Orlando, miami, key west, naples, les everglades. Je compte prendre un billet pour Miami et repartir de Orlando ou l'inverse. L'objectif et de gagner du temps et de ne pas revenir sur nos pas.
Pourriez vous m'aider sur l'itinéraire à suivre pour visiter ces différents sites.
J'ai lu qu'a Miami, les restaurants étaient très cher, pourriez vous me donner un ordre d'idée. Les fast foods et les chaines de restaurants sont-ils au même prix qu'ailleurs ( Pour comparaison, je suis déjà allé à Chicago et à Saint Louis ).
J'ai également lu qu'il était possible de faire du Jet ski, mais à quel tarif?

Je pars au mois d aout et j ai apparement fait le bon choix sur l hotel (iberostar hacienda dominicus/Bayahibe) mais je sais que c est la saison des pluies, mais je n avais pas le choix...🙁 J ai vecu 4 ans a miami, qui apparement a le meme climat et l ete c est un ciel bleu avec des nuages, du vent et pluies fortes et de courte duree... Hier le vol American Airlines en provenance de Paris arrive à l'heure à Miami, la majorité des passagers continuent sur des correspondances à destination de l'Amérique Latine, disposant en général d'au moins deux heures pour effectuer ce transit international. Le contrôle des passeports a été tellement tatillon que la moitié des passagers n'ont pas pu avoir leur vol suivant. Ils devraient continuer cet après midi avec 24 h de retard !
Je n'ai jamais lancé d'appels au boycott, mais j'ai vraiment envie de dire à tous ceux qui veulent voyager utiliser autre chose que des services américains, parce que cela commence à atteindre le sommet de l'absurdité

In 1975, several members of Rocket From the Tombs split off to form Pere Ubu—a band named after a play by French writer Alfred Jarry. The group (labeled with many tags or none at all: garage, industrial, experimental, rock, art-rock, avant-garde, punk, new wave) was extremely ahead of its time (and remains incredibly stimulating today), embarking on an unprecedented journey blending punk, post-rock, and an insane art-rock sophistication. Their albums, filled with literary allusions and wounded poetry, were sung-spoken in Thomas’s singular style. The band’s boldness was evident everywhere, mixing brass (especially clarinet), electric instruments, and a constant effort to connect with American musical traditions.
During its initial run from 1975 to 1982, Pere Ubu was an unclassifiable group, fusing the loose energy of garage rock (a term used by D.T. to describe Pere Ubu’s music) with 1960s rock, funk bass, heavy saxophones, and Thomas’s dominant presence. Though they predated the rise of post-punk, Pere Ubu embodied that sound in all its sharp, repressed, and unpredictable nature—largely thanks to Thomas’s wild spirit. The band’s clever absurdity and adventurous approach inspired other groups, including Joy Division, Sonic Youth, Pixies, and R.E.M.
In 1978, Pere Ubu released The Modern Dance, their debut album, followed by Dub Housing (1978), New Picnic Time (1979), and The Art of Walking (1980). Though it never achieved commercial success, the album found its audience among eccentric punks and art-rock fans, intriguing many with its singular blend of rock, punk, new wave, and experimental prog. After a few lineup changes and a brief breakup, Pere Ubu released four more albums in a frenzy of creativity. Song of the Bailing Man briefly served as the group’s final album upon their split in 1982. For their 1987 return, Pere Ubu recorded The Tenement Year the following year. The band reunited intermittently over the following decades under Thomas’s leadership, who remained the sole founding member throughout the group’s existence, releasing 14 albums—not counting live records. We’re heading to Florida at the end of October with our 2- and 4-year-olds. I’d love to get your thoughts on the itinerary we’re considering.
Since we’re traveling with little ones, we’re keeping the number of stops limited to make things easier for them and avoid packing and unpacking every day.
Here’s the plan so far: Day 1: Land in Orlando at 6 PM Day 2: Orlando (rest day) Day 3: Disney World (Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party starting at 4 PM, so we’ll pick one Disney park for the day) Day 4: Orlando > Anna Maria Island (stopping in St. Petersburg) Day 5: Anna Maria Island Day 6: Anna Maria Island > Fort Myers or Naples Day 7: Fort Myers or Naples Day 8: Visit Sanibel and stay overnight in Fort Myers or Naples Day 9: Fort Myers or Naples > Miami (via Shark Valley) Day 10: Miami Day 11: Miami > Keys (stopping in the Everglades?) Day 12: Day trip to Key West Day 13: Keys Day 14: Keys and return to the airport in the evening for our flight
For the Keys, I was thinking Marathon or Islamorada might be a good base with kids—less driving on the last day, too. What do you think?
For the 3 nights in Fort Myers or Naples, where do you think is better to stay? We’d like to spend one day on Sanibel and the rest relaxing. We’ve only planned 2 nights in Miami. Is that a mistake? Should we cut one night from Naples/Fort Myers to add an extra night in Miami? If so, maybe skip Sanibel. Also, does ending in the Keys instead of Miami seem like a bad idea? We’d be staying in Marathon or Islamorada, which keeps prices more reasonable since it’s a weekday. Plus, it lets us break up the drive from Naples to the Keys without adding an extra stop near the Everglades, which would mean another hotel change for the kids.

I’d like to spend a week in the United States with my 19-year-old daughter.
It’s her dream to go there, and we’re planning to visit New York in 18 months.
For July, we’re looking for a fun week with cultural visits and some shopping, with a budget of 4000 € for two people, including travel.
Just a little heads-up—I’m not a big fan of extreme heat!

Feedback on Panama Canal cruise with Norwegian Joy - January 2025
Total of 16 days on the ship with the advantage of one day at sea and one day in port, so time to rest in between.
NORWEGIAN JOY:
1-Food not as good as on Costa and MSC (fewer dish choices or repetitive meals, no region-specific meals, meats are good but desserts are really not good at all, no real exotic fruits despite the regions you visit, and even the other fruits like melon and pineapple aren’t ripe). No need to dress up for evening meals: freestyle, so don’t bring too many evening outfits.
2-No fixed time or place for meals: queues every time in the restaurants, tables assigned based on your group size, so it’s hard to interact with other passengers.
3-Passengers mostly American: shows cater to their taste, fewer musical-style performances in the theater compared to Costa and MSC.
4-Excursions are very expensive and always in English. Americans still leave huge tips for the guides.
ITINERARY:
1-Miami departure port (airport: 3-hour queue for passport control!)
2-2 days at sea, then Cartagena in Colombia: definitely don’t take the Pirates excursion (it’s terrible, even for kids—they make you run all over the city for their lame "show"!). You can even stay at the port where there’s a beautiful park called "Oasis" with lovely birds... and a café. Otherwise, while visiting the city, buy t-shirts ($10 USD—the best quality and markets of all the regions visited) or taste ripe exotic fruits you’ll never find on the ship ($3).
3-Colon/Panama: several interesting excursions to the locks (old and new). They use highways, so you don’t see much of the country. Crossing from the Atlantic to the Pacific via the canal and the lake: not much view of cities during the passage, just a few islands and greenery on the lake.
4-Puntarenas/Costa Rica: We took the coffee plantation tour, which lets you drive through villages and see more of the country.
5-Guatemala: Highly recommended excursion to Antigua: a very pretty old town with a human scale, lots of women trying to sell you all sorts of things but always with a smile and full of color. Enjoy bargaining—it’s a real connection with the locals.
6-Acapulco/Mexico: a big city that reminds you a bit of Rio/Brazil. Beaches right near the port if you want to swim, as well as little shops selling everything. The famous cliff divers: it’s crowded, so it’s hard to find a good spot to really see them jump. Lots of police and heavily armed military, so probably best not to take risks venturing alone into the poorer neighborhoods like favelas in the hills.
7-Vallarta/Mexico: a gem, a small and very pleasant seaside resort with a lovely promenade, lots of colors, statues, souvenirs, and cafés....
8-Cabo San Lucas/Mexico: The ship stays at sea; you go ashore by small boats from the port. Lots of shops, restaurants, etc., right at the port if you don’t want to take an excursion. It’s quite chilly early in the morning on these small boats, so bring a jacket.
9-Los Angeles: disembarkation—another 3-hour queue for passport control. If you have a flight right after, be careful: either ask for disabled assistance on the ship (they have a fast exit) or hire paid porters who also get you out quickly.

We’ll be on a cruise in February 2025. Among our stops are Jamaica, the Cayman Islands, and Mexico. - We’d like to swim with dolphins but are torn between Jamaica and the Cayman Islands. Which would you recommend? - Does anyone have recommendations for French-speaking guides in either of these destinations? - In Mexico, we’re thinking of taking the Tulum excursion. Has anyone tried it? If so, is it worth it? On our last day, we arrive in Miami at 7 AM and our flight is at 6:25 PM. We’re considering the MSC excursion “Miami city tour: ends at the airport,” but I’d love to hear if anyone has done it. Remboursement vol avec escale annulé par Iberia English translation pending
Nous avons pris des billets au mois de décembre 2019 pour un séjour aux USA du 20/03 au 28/03/20 directement avec IBERIA depuis Nantes avec une escale à Madrid, idem pour le retour, on vient de s'apercevoir que le seul le vol Nantes Madrid est annulé et qu'ils vont nous proposer un autre horaire, sur leur site il est possible de changer les dates ou d'obtenir un bon valable jusqu'au 31 décembre, un des vols étant annulé, ne sont ils pas dans l'obligation de nous rembourser dans ce cas? On pensait qu' ils annuleraient tous les vols pour les états-Units, mais visiblement c'est pas le cas et ils sont injoignables. D'autres personnes sont ils dans la même situation?

On s'en va deux semaines fin mars - début avril dans le sud de la Floride, côté Atlantique. Premier voyage pour bébé de 17 mois mais, si autrefois on avait tendance à faire mille étapes pour voir tout un pays, cette fois-ci c'est déplacements minimum et gros farniente car couple fatigué et bébé n.2 en route..... alors on prend ça trèèèès relaxe.
Les hébergements sont fixés, donc ça ressemble à ça : - arrivée à l'aéroport de Fort Lauderdale et déplacement direct vers Delray Beach où on a trouvé une petite maison pour 5 jours - ensuite Singer Island un peu plus haut (en fait Riviera Beach de son vrai nom, mais sur l'île) pour 3 nuits - puis retour à la même maison de Delray - puis 3 dernières nuits à Fort Lauderdale et vol tôt le dernier jour, donc un gros 2 jours pleins sur place pour visiter la ville. On sera dans le quartier Victoria Park, à une demi-heure de marche de Las Olas.
On n'a pas de véhicule pour la durée du séjour, on pensait louer à la journée lorsque envie d'excursion.
Justement : Avez-vous des suggestions de sorties dans ce coin-ci, qui pourraient partiellement intéresser bébé tout en étant le fun pour les parents ? Je pensais aux jardins japonais de Murakami, et au Butterfly Wonderland. Et peut-être un autre truc un peu plus à l'intérieur des terres. Sinon depuis FLL, une sortie d'une journée à Miami pour la plage art décor, Little Havana? Avez-vous des suggestions pour meubler 2,5j à FLL une fois qu'on a fait le Riverwalk et la plage?
Pour chacune des trois villes où on passe, si vous avez des recommandations de resto, de sorties, de visites moins connue mais sympa (y'a pratiquement rien dans aucun guide...), on est preneurs de tout !

Nous sommes donc 4, moi, V, prof, 43 ans, planificatrice en chef, monsieur, P, 43 ans également, me fait entièrement confiance (tant pis pour lui 😛), mon ado T, 14 ans, et mon pas encore ado, ouf, Q, 9 ans. Mon fils de 9 ans ADORE les animaux (moi aussi) ce qui explique les nombreux zoo, aquarium, parc animalier du planning
J’ADORE le shopping et la plage
Monsieur ADORE les voitures et les trails, pas trop la plage
Et mon ado de 14 ans, que dire, c’est un vrai ado donc pour lui c’est plutôt parc d’attraction, piscine, activités sportives

où nager avec des dauphins (pas en pleine mer, Theatre of the sea ?) ?
où faire du tubing ?
où fair un tour en airboat en étant max 10 personnes par bateau ?
où faire du snorkeling pour débutant ?
où envoyer les garçons pendant mon shopping à Orlando ? (minigolf, treetrek adventure park, …)
où voir de belles voitures anciennes (musée, expo, …) ?
N'hésitez-pas à me faire des suggestions, sachant que tous les hôtels sont réservés sauf Tampa et Saint Petersbourg.

Plus de liaison inter-îles La saison prochaine, la compagnie de croisière ne fera plus le voyage entre les îles de l’Océan Indien.
L’une des raisons : le Costa Mediterranea va remplacer le Costa Fortuna dès octobre 2020 pour les croisières entre Singapour, la Thaïlande et la Malaisie.
