We only have 4 days to visit South Korea and we’re landing in Seoul. Is it better to focus on Seoul, or would it be possible to go as far as Gyeongju, stopping by Songnisan National Park to visit Beopjusa Temple, then heading to Gyeongju to see Bulguksa Temple and Seokguram Grotto, and keeping 2 days for Seoul? Is this doable? We’d need someone to drive us there.

Hi there, We were planning to spend a month in June exploring Croatia (Istria for 1 week, Plitvice Park, Zadar, Split, the islands, Dubrovnik…) and Montenegro, and we’ve already made good progress on our plans. But after reading the forum, we got a bit worried—there are so many negative reviews. Apparently, tourism has exploded, and Croatians are getting more and more fed up (which we totally get), becoming aggressive and disrespectful. The euro has sent prices skyrocketing, and scams of all kinds are popping up—even car vandalism is being mentioned!!

Here’s what we had in mind: Day 1: Our trip was supposed to start from Nice by car, with a stop in Verona to arrive in Croatia the next day. Days 2–6: First possible detour to visit Postojna Cave in Slovenia (or later from Rijeka... but I’ve heard border crossings can be super long!!!) and a 5-night stay in Rovinj (visiting Rovinj, Bale, Poreč, Grožnjan, and other small villages, Pula, maybe Cape Kamenjak, relaxing on beaches, possibly Cres Island). - Days 7–8: Head toward Rijeka and Plitvice Lakes National Park via the coastal road; 2 nights outside the park (given the prices!!!) and visit the park the next day. Do we need to book park entry way in advance for June? - Days 9–11 or 12: Leave for Zadar for 4 nights—one island (Dugi Otok, Pašman Island, Kornati Islands National Park, Silba, Molat, Olib, Premuda, Sakarun Bay, Veli Žal Beach, Iž Island, Ugljan Island), explore the city, and check out the surroundings. - Days 13–15: Head to Split, visit Šibenik, Split, and Trogir. - Days 16–17: Hvar Island. - Days 18–21 or 22: Head to Dubrovnik, explore the city, cross over to Korčula, Prapatno port at the start of the Pelješac Peninsula, via Ston, Mljet Island (Konavle and Cavtat port?).

- Then return to Split to catch the ferry to Ancona or head to Montenegro for 5–7 days.

If you’ve visited Croatia since 2023 (when it joined the Schengen Zone), we’d love to hear your thoughts on traveling there in June. Françoise

We're looking for up-to-date info on day trips to: 1-Coiba (from Santa Catalina). I’ve seen prices like: $65 per person + 20 € for the national park entrance, and also a "package" price of $225... Has anyone got recent info? Are these prices to be shared, or is it really a minimum of 85 € per person (even for a 6-year-old kid)?

2-Escudo de Veraguas From Bocas del Toro, I’ve seen prices around 150 € with a 2-hour lancha ride. Or from Calovébora (no info on price or trip duration).

We’re a family of 4 adults (2 grown daughters) planning our first trip to South Africa for 3 weeks in August 2025, traveling independently. I’ve been drawing inspiration from several posts on the forum. I’d like to book our flight tickets and nights in Kruger Park as soon as possible since that’s the most urgent part to finalize, if I understood correctly.

Hi, I’d been told it was between 2,000 and 2,500 THB per day. 3,000 THB for Doi Inthanon... The driver I found gave me different prices depending on my destinations: 5,000 THB for the waterfalls in Doi Inthanon National Park, which I negotiated down to 4,000. Then 2,000 for Lamphun, 3,000 for another day, and two times 3,500 for two other itineraries I showed him. In total, 16,000 THB, which I negotiated down to 14,000. I’m wondering if I overpaid... Since I’m planning two more outings, I’d like to have a solid baseline for negotiating...

However, we’ve read that more and more baobab forests in Senegal have been declassified. Which forests (aside from the treetop adventure park) are still the most interesting to visit? The prices through agencies are sky-high, so I’m trying to figure out why by looking at the cost of the bus separately, park entry separately, and the boat separately. I’m still way off the total amount. From reading several blogs, it seems like we could do it ourselves by renting a car. What do you think?

After that, we saw that we could also visit other glaciers, but the agency prices for those are even more expensive. However, in this case, I don’t know if we can do it on our own...

Je voudrais savoir s'il existe à Katmandou des agences ou intermédiaires qui peuvent s'occuper à l'avance moyennant commission, des formalités pour le permis TIMS, le permis d'accès à un parc national, la réservation du transport (jeep privée) voire les trajets aeroport-hôtel mais sans guide, porteur et encadrement du trek (le trek se fera en autonomie). Je veux juste savoir si ça existe et si oui à qui je peux m'adresser. L'idée est d'éviter d'effectuer soi-même ces formalités le premier jour après 13h d'avion. Bonjour, Je pars tres bientôt en Croatie pour visiter le lac de plitvice et en me renseignant, le parcours h serait le meilleur compromis. Mais accessible par l'entrée 2. Mais le problème c'est que la navette que j'ai trouvé au départ de zadar s'arrête a l'entrée 1. Quelqu'un sait si une fois entré dans le parc, on peut rejoindre facilement et rapidement l'entrée 2 depuis l'entrée 1? Merci.

‌ Bonjour, En Septembre, quand les "travailleurs" auront repris le boulot, je pars marcher dans les Pyrénées centrales (que je ne connais pas du tout) : l'idée est de partir de Cauterets (Parc National des Pyrénées), de passer par Gavarnie bien sûr et de terminer par le Pic du Midi de Bigorre, après avoir fait une boucle par les lacs (Aumar, l'Oule, Gréziolles). J'ai prévu hébergement et restauration en refuges ou gîtes d'étape, pique-niques pour les repas de midi. Suite aux recherches que j'ai faites, j'évalue la durée de la "balade" à 10 jours en étapes de 4 à 7h. Mes questions aux connaisseurs du terrain : - Compte tenu du relief de la zone, prévoir 10 jours pour faire cette rando vous semble-t-il "raisonnable" ? (70 ans, bonne condition physique, j'ai l'habitude de marcher mais plutôt en moyenne montagne). ​- Un endroit du trajet me préoccupe : la Hourquette d'Ossoue (2734m) ; j'ai lu qu'on pouvait y trouver de la neige, même en été... qu'en est-il vraiment ? ​- Pour le reste du parcours, est-il praticable avec de bonnes chaussures (type Timberland) jusque fin Septembre ? Une proposition : ​- S'il y a des randonneurs (euses) isolé(e)s (comme moi) qui aimeraient faire la "balade", qu'ils me fassent signe : je suis prêt à modifier, diminuer ou rallonger mon projet initial sans problème. Simplement, il faut faire vite : en naviguant sur les sites des refuges, je me suis rendu compte que début Septembre commence déjà à se remplir ! ​ Merci d'avance aux Pyrénéistes !
