Bien que la question ai déjà été traitée dans des messages précédent, je souhaite savoir si il y a un risque de PALUDISME au CAMBODGE pendant le mois d'AOUT 2008. Nous faisons un parcours classique en sac à dos, Siem Reap, visite d'Ankor, visite de village à la campagne, visite des villages sur le lac Tonlé Sap, Batambang, puis Phnom Penh et nous terminons par Sihanoukville et une ile. J'ai clairement compris que le risque est limité dans les villes. Mais qu'en est-il des rizières et des petits villages sur les bord du Tonlé Sap ? Je pose cette question car nous serons en AOUT pendant la saison des pluies.

D'autre part avez-vous entendu parlé de petit ver parasitaire qui s'attrape en marchand sur le sable humide ? Est-ce qu'il y en a sur les plages du sud ?

Avec mon copain on veut passer 3 jours à la plage soit à Koh Phi Phi, soit à Krabi. En fait on ne sait pas trop, et je suis un peu perdue malgré toutes les infos sur le forum. On recherche une très belle plage, avec hotel propre et authentique (pas que du béton quoi), une chouette vue et pas trop loin des plus beaux sites à voir. J'en demande beaucoup... je sais. Mais en fait ce que je ne veux pas, c'est tomber sur une plage du genre ambiance Phuket ou St Tropez. Juste la nature et de beaux fonds sous marins.

Voila, si vous avez des conseils à me donner entre Koh PHi Phi ou Krabi, ou bien d'autres iles dans le coin (Koh Lanta?), je suis plus que preneuse. On y va fin Octobre après Siem Reap et Bangkok...

Avec quelques mois de retard, le voilà... Inde - Népal 2009

2 janvier Arrivée à l'heure! Je passe rapidement l'immigration, mais j'attends deux heures (!!!) mon sac… Je change des sous, le mec veut me donner des billets de 1000. Ah non, donnez moi des 500! Ils sont tout abîmés... Yen a pas d'autres? Non? Tant pis. (Erreur!!! J'oublie qu'on n'accepte pas les billets abîmés, j'ai du passer du temps à les changer ensuite...) Je sors et partage un taxi jusque Paharganj. Purée!!! C'est le cas de le dire, on n'y vois pas à 5 mètres tant le brouillard est épais! Heureusement, pas de vaches sur la route.

Je rentre dans le premier hôtel venu, (le lord Krishna) regarde les chambres, c'est bon. Rzzz… Le lendemain je me lève tôt, je suis à nouveau en Inde, le pied total! J'achète une shalwar kemiz dans mon magasin habituel, on me reconnaît.. Je vais manger un thali à mon resto habituel, on me reconnaît, j'ai droit à des Namasté chaleureux qui me vont droit au cœur… Je tel à Jaoui, expat' que je ne connais que par quelques mails, et on se file rendez vous pour le lendemain midi. J'achète un ticket de train pour Benares, départ demain soir, hello madam yes? Hello rickshaw? Have a look madam, one roupie mama...

4/1: Douche, check out, je laisse mon sac et prends un rickshaw jusqu'a la french colony. Waouh, quel quartier chicos! Un gardien m'ouvre la grille, et je rentre dans un jardin aux mille plantes différentes. Une grande villa toute blanche au bout de l'allée, une Mercedes devant le garage… Jaoui m'ouvre la porte, je la vois de suite chaleureuse avec une gentille et douce voix. Son chez elle est impressionnant de classe, de chic et de toute beauté. Son mari adore la peinture contemporaine indienne, de magnifiques tableaux ornent les murs, et de très beaux objets décorent les pièces, lampes, statues en argent ciselé, j'aurais bien voulu visiter le maison, mais on ne se connaît pas vraiment, et je n'ose lui demander… Après un succulent repas bien expat': pâtes fraiches aux aubergines, tomates, ail et basilic, et vin italien, nous allons visiter le Lodi Garden. Je suis super contente, cela faisait bien longtemps que je voulais y aller... Le chauffeur sort la mercedes, et on se laisse conduire tranquillou...

Au soir, je prends mon sac et vais à la gare... Purée quelle cohue... Je regarde le tableau d'affichage... Shiv Ganga express : Cancelled!!!! Didjeu!!! Retour à Paharganj, après avoir acheté un ticket de train pour le lendemain après midi. Il ne devrait pas y avoir de brouillard l'après midi quand même... Le lendemain, youpie le train est là, je m'installe... Plus de 15 heures de trajet...

Rassurez vous, je n'ai pas eu la générosité de partager ma banquette... Il faisait frisquet dans le train... (on est en janvier) Au soir, l'autre occidentale de mon compartiment, toujours plongée dans un bouquin, remarque que je n'ai pas de couverture et m'en donne une! Génial! Cela fait plus d'un an qu'elle étudie à Benares, sa mère vient de lui rendre visite, elle en a donc une extra. Je suis si contente, que je lui demande si elle aime le chocolat... Oui? Le noir ou au lait? Noir? Hop, je sors de mon sac, une tablette de bon chocolat belge, noir... Je vous dis pas son bonheur! .../...

Varanasi, Namasté très chère!!! Tu m'as tant manqué... Je passe outre les rabatteurs d'un pas décidé, je traverse le parking, et prends un cyclo. Je le répète: j'adore les cyclo, ok ca peut être difficile de les regarder suer en pedalant, et nous "confortablement" assis avec une belle vue... Mais c'est ecolo, puis leurs roupies, ils les gagnent dur, autre chose que de conduire les auto rickshaw à fond la caisse, en pétaradant pour toute la ville...

Bengali tola mini street... Je vais dire bonjour au baba GH, ils sont complets, mais m'assure qu'ils vont me libérer une chambre pour ce soir... Je prends une douche, laisse mon sac, leur donne une tablette de chocolat, waouh, j'adore cette famille...

Balade au bord du Gange, rêveries, chai, beedie, puja au Gange avec mon brahmane préféré... Lors de mon précédent voyage, ce gentil tout plein brahmane m'avait chanté une mantra...

Je vais dire bonjour à Nitin, le matin, il travaille comme infirmier dans un petit hopital, l'après midi il tient sa boutique de tabac et d'encens...



Je lui offre du chocolat, un pull bien chaud qu'il m'avait demandé, on papote longuement, et vais dire bonjour mes tailleurs, Govind et Gopal...



Eux aussi ont droit à une tablette de chocolat, ma dernière! La journée est trop courte... Dîner au Chandan resto, certains marchands me reconnaissent, je me sens comme à la maison...

Retour au baba, le chocolat fait un tabac! J'achète un ticket de bus pour Kathmandu, départ tôt le lendemain car j'ai rendez voua avec une internaute que j'ai vraiment envie de rencontrer, mais elle s'en retourne bientôt en France après 6 mois au Nepal.

Après une nuit trop courte, hop! Rickshaw pour l'arrêt de bus, p'tit dej' en vitesse, et en route... 8 heures de trajet sans compter les pauses... Pendant tout le trajet, je lis "Sous un ciel de marbre"...

Un de mes top 10! Vraiment terrible!

En fin de journée j'ai fini ma passionnante lecture, et on arrive à la frontière. Je suis la troupe descendant du bus, on tamponne nos visas indiens, et on passe la porte. Attente qui n'en finit pas au bureau de visa népalais, mais les douaniers sont tout cool, souriants, accueillants! On nous parque dans un guest house assez pourave, compris dans les 10€ du ticket Varanasi-Kathmandu... Mais je dois partager une grande chambre de 8 lits avec 4 autrichiens et autrichiennes... J'ai rien contre l'Autriche, mais zut, je suis une femme, et ya deux hommes inconnus dormant dans la même chambre que moi... Hop, j'essaie, et j'obtiens une chambre pour moi toute seule, aussi une chambre à 8 lits! Question douche, euh... L'eau est gelée, puis rien qu'a les regarder euh... Je décide de rester crade 24h de plus, tant pis, vive les voyages... Je papote avec un jeune couple de sympa francais, et on pars dîner ensemble. Rzzzzz....

Bus pour Kathmandu... Purée c'est long. Plus de lecture pour passer le temps, mais le paysage est prenant. Vers 18h, enfin nous y sommes. Un autre occidental et moi partageons un taxi pour Freak street pendant que tout les autres montent dans un minibus pour Thamel.

Thamel, c'est bien quand on en a marre de la cuisine locale, qu'on a envie d'une bière, de musique live, de frites (euh... Sont très doués les népalais pour les frites ) ou simplement qu'on est seul et qu'on a envie de papoter avec d'autres occidentaux, il y a le choix! Freak street j'aime car j'y ai de bons souvenirs, c'est bien plus calme que Thamel, rien à voir. De plus c'est à côté du Durbar square.

L'hotel que je prends est propret tout plein, à 1€ la chambre, faut le voir pour le croire... Je tel à Calou, et youpie! On se voit ce soir, et demain on va dîner chez chez Sarou et Pramod. Sarou? Pramod? Mais je la connais! On s'est vu lors d'une rencontre net à Bruxelles! Youpie! Le monde est beau! Sur le chemin je passe au distributeur... Rien du tout... Comment ca rien du tout??? ???? C'est quoi ce binze???? Je tel à Bruxelles, me reste 15€ en poche, je vais pas aller bien loin pour 6 semaines... Bruxelles: "ah non pas de sous! Vous aviez un RV auquel vous n'avez pas été..." "mais j'étais en vacances et le suis toujours!!!" "venez nous voir quand vous rentrez, on arrangera ca, en attendant bonnes vacances!!" Grand moment de solitude, les larmes coulent... Ca commence bien... Je rentre dans un net café, en écrivant un mail de secours aux copines, je fonds en larme, à gros sanglots... Purée, à mon âge, devoir demander des tunes car je suis dans la dèche au bout du monde... J'ai honte, vraiment honte, mais dois mettre ma fierté de côté, je ne vois pas que faire d'autre... Pourtant j'ai passé une heure au syndic avant de partir, même que j'ai papoté du Népal avec le mec, qui y avait déjà été... Je suis dégoutée...J'avais tout fait pour ne pas avoir d'emmerdes... Et voila. Enfin bon... Merci l'administration... Ils ne seront pas dans mes prières à Ganesh... Par contre, pour moi je prie bien Laxmi...

Bon, j'essuie mes larmes, et vais voir Calou. Très positive et chaleureuse, elle m'aide à chasser mes idées noires, après tout, je suis à Kathmandou avec une copine, dans un chouette petit resto... Santé!

Rzzzz... Je me lève tôt, encore toute endormie, je bois un chai dans la rue dans un toute petite gargote, il fait frisquet. J'attends que la brume se lève, redemande un bon chai bien chaud, et pars me balader...



Mes yeux pétillent de bonheur... Kathmandu est toujours une ville absolument grandiose... Les népalais sont beaux, doux, accueillants, pas harcelleurs du tout... J'adore leur look, beaucoup portent le chapeau typiquement newari.



La photo est un peu floue, mais j'ai "papoté" 10 minutes avec ce gentil tout plein monsieur... Je trouve la lumière belle ce matin... Même si j'ai des problèmes de sous, les photos ne coutent rien, et je m'y donne à coeur joie!





Je traine, m'arrête toutes les 5 minutes pour je ne sais combien de temps de pause... J'observe les népalais faire leurs offrandes... Ci dessous Bhairav, dieu népalais protecteur. Son aspect effrayant est sensé écarter les mauvais esprits...



Je ne sais pas quoi regarder, qui prendre en photo,



ya trop! J'adore... J'adore l'ambiance... Personne ne me dérange en voulant me vendre dieu sait quoi, au contraire, je reçois beaucoup de sourires, de Namasté... Des statues incroyables ornent les entrées des temples...



En croisant Ganesh, je ne peux m'empêcher de lui demander de prendre soin de moi et de tout le monde...



Je remarque du passage dans une ruelle de pas plus d'un mètre de large, je la prends, et arrive à un temple. Il y a un boucan de dingue...

Je tel à Calou, et ce soir nous dormons chez Sarou, demainn tôt nous partons pour la balade de Namo Bouddha, tu viens? Ah que oui alors!!! Ma bonne humeur revient!!!

Avant de revoir Calou, quelques photos plic ploc, quelques rêveries devant les bâtiments hallucinants...



La fin de la journée approche, le rendez vous de ce soir aussi...



Je rentre au guest house, fais mon sac, douche et je check out... .../...

Je ne sais carrément pas si dans les pays du genre les Philippines, le Laos, la Thaïlande ou Singapour, il est obligatoire d'avoir un diplôme.

J'attends avec impatiente n'importe quelles de vos réponses, intelligentes ou même inutiles, mais plus particulièrement des réponses de personnes habitant ou ayant habités là-bas :)

jeudi 9 juillet, 18 h 04 MONTRÉAL (AFP) - Un musicien canadien, qui ne parvient pas à se faire dédommager pour sa guitare cassée, selon lui, par des bagagistes de la compagnie aérienne United Airlines, a pris sa revanche dans une chanson diffusée sur internet, remportant un succès monstre.

Dans ce clip mis en ligne lundi sur le site "YouTube", Dave Carroll raconte avec humour comment sa guitare, une "Taylor" de 3.500 dollars faite sur mesure, aurait été endommagée par des bagagistes de la compagnie américaine à l'aéroport O'Hare de Chicago l'an dernier.

"Tout le groupe était assis à l'arrière de l'avion quand une femme, qui ne savait pas que nous étions des musiciens, s'est mise à crier: +mon Dieu, ils lancent des guitares dehors+", a-t-il déclaré jeudi à la chaîne CBC.

A son arrivée, en ouvrant son étui, il a découvert -comme il se l'était imaginé- que son instrument était endommagé. Il dit avoir tenté à l'aéroport de parler avec les représentants de la compagnie, mais que ceux-ci avaient décliné tout responsabilité dans cet incident.

Pendant neuf mois, ajoute-t-il, il a multiplié les démarches, au téléphone et par courriel, pour tenter d'obtenir réparation, se butant toujours au même refus de la compagnie.

De guerre lasse, il a donc enregistré la chanson "United casse les guitares", visionnée par plus d'un demi-million de personnes depuis qu'elle a été mise en ligne lundi.

Etonné de son succès, il dit qu'il n'a cessé de recevoir des demandes d'interviews de télévisions de partout en Amérique du Nord et que, de ce fait, il n'a pas pu parler directement avec des responsables d'United Airlines, qui ont à deux reprises tenté de le joindre depuis le succès de sa vidéo sur internet.

La principale organisation professionnelle de musiciens canadiens AFM Canada a applaudi le succès de la chanson de Dave Carroll, estimant qu'elle donnait un coup de projecteur sur un problème auquel sont confrontés tous les musiciens appelés à voyager pour exercer leur métier.

"C'est un peu l'histoire classique de David et Goliath, Dave Carroll ayant utilisé son art pour créer une fronde métaphorique qui a atteint sa cible en plein coeur", a déclaré Bill Skolnik, vice-président d'AFM.

J'ai lu sur quelques sites qu'en Thailande, quand on souhaite visiter des temples et certains sites historiques, il ne faut pas se decouvrir les epaules, avoir de decolletes, ou de jupes/shorts courts. Mais j'ai aussi lu qu'il fallait porter des chaussures fermees (qui cachent les orteils), et qu'il ne fallait pas porter de couleurs rouges ou roses (Mince, dans ma garde robe, il n'y a presque que ca !) Qu'en est il ?

THIS TENANCY AGREEMENT (the "Agreement") dated this 30th of May, 2009.

BETWEEN: "xxxxxx" "xxxxxx" (the "Landlord") OF THE FIRST PART

- AND - "xxxxxx" "xxxxxx" (the "Tenants") OF THE SECOND PART

IN CONSIDERATION OF the Landlord letting certain premises to the Tenant, the Tenant letting those premises from the Landlord and the mutual benefits and obligations provided in this Agreement, the receipt and sufficiency of which consideration is hereby acknowledged, the parties to this Agreement agree as follows: BACKGROUND: A. This is an agreement to create an Assured Shorthold Tenancy as defined in Section 19A of the Housing Act 1988 or any successor legislation (the "Act"). B. The Landlord is the owner of residential property available for rent and is legally entitled to grant this tenancy. Let Property 1. The Landlord agrees to let to the Tenant the flat municipally 2. 95 N"xxxxxx", Miami, FL 33136. (The 'Property') for use as residential premises only. The Property is more particularly described as follows: Neither the Property nor any part of the Property will be used at any time during the term of this Agreement by Tenant for the purpose of carrying on any business, profession, or trade of any kind, or for the purpose other than as a private single-family residence. 3. No guests of the Tenants may occupy the Property for longer than 2 weeks without the prior written consent of the Landlord. 4. No pets or animals are allowed to be kept in or about the Property without the prior written permission of the Landlord. Upon thirty (30) days notice, the Landlord may revoke any consent previously given pursuant to this clause. 5. Subject to the provisions of this Agreement, the Tenant is entitled to the use of parking (the 'Parking') on or about the Property. Only properly insured motor vehicles may be parked in the Tenant's space. 6. The Landlord has supplied and the Tenant agrees to use and maintain in reasonable condition, normal wear and tear accepted, the furnishings noted in the inspection report completed before the Tenant took possession of the Property.

Term 7. The term of the Agreement is a periodic tenancy commencing at 12:00 noon on 5th July, 2009 and continuing on a month to month basis until the Landlord or the Tenant terminates the tenancy. 8. Any notice to terminate this tenancy must comply with the Act.

Rent 9. Subject to the provisions of this Agreement, the rent for the Property is US $600.00 per month (the 'Rent') Including all utilities (Electricity, gas, water, council tax, and waste disposal) The Tenant will pay the Rent on or before the first of each and every month of the term of this Agreement to the Landlord 9"xxxxxx"ve, Miami, FL 33136 or at such other place as the Landlord may later designate. 10. The Landlord may increase the Rent for the Property upon providing to the Tenant the greater of 21 days notice and any notice required by the Act. 11. The Tenant will be charged an additional amount of $4.50 per day for any Rent that is received after the latter of the due date and the expiration of any grace period under the Act, if any.

Security Deposit 13. On execution of this Agreement, the Tenant will pay the Landlord a security deposit of US $700.00 (the 'Security Deposit') together with the first month rent’ of US $600.00 in other to confirm reservation and which later is refunded after the expiration of the lease. 14. No interest will be received on the deposit. 15. The Landlord will return the Security Deposit at the end of this tenancy, less such deductions as provided in this Agreement but no deduction will be made for damage due to reasonable wear and tear nor for any deduction prohibited by the Act. 16. During the Term of this Agreement or after its termination, the Landlord may charge the Tenant or make deductions from the Security Deposit for any or all of the following: 1. repair of walls due to plugs, large nails or any unreasonable number of holes in the walls including the repainting of such damaged walls; 2. repainting required to repair the results of any other improper use or excessive damage by the Tenant; 3. unplugging toilets, sinks and drains; 4. replacing damaged or missing doors, windows, screens, mirrors or light fixtures; 5. repairing cuts, burns, or water damage to linoleum, rugs, and other areas; 6. any other repairs or cleaning due to any damage beyond normal wear and tear caused or permitted by the Tenant or by any person whom the Tenant is responsible for; 7. the cost of extermination where the Tenant or the Tenant's guests have brought or allowed insects into the Property or building; 8. repairs and replacement required where windows are left open which have caused plumbing to freeze, or rain or water damage to floors or walls; and 9. Any other purpose allowed under this Agreement or the Act.

For the purpose of this clause, the Landlord may charge the Tenant for professional cleaning and repairs if the Tenant has not made alternate arrangements with the Landlord. 17. The Tenant may not use the Security Deposit as payment for the Rent. 18. Within the lesser of I day and any time period required by the Act after the termination of this tenancy, the Landlord will deliver or mail the Security Deposit less any proper deductions or with further demand for payment to: __, or at such other place as the Tenant may advise.

Quiet Enjoyment 19. The Landlord covenants that on paying the Rent and performing the covenants contained in this Agreement, the Tenant will peacefully and quietly have, hold, and enjoy the Property for the agreed term.

Inspections 20. The Landlord and the Tenant will complete, sign and date an inspection report at the beginning and at the end of this tenancy.

Tenant Improvements 21. The Tenant will obtain written permission from the Landlord before doing any of the following: 1. applying adhesive materials, or inserting nails or hooks in walls or ceilings other than two small picture hooks per wall; 2. painting, wallpapering, redecorating or in any way significantly altering the appearance of the Property; 3. removing or adding walls, or performing any structural alterations; 4. installing a waterbed(s); 5. changing the amount of heat or power normally used on the Property as well as installing additional electrical wiring or heating units; 6. placing or exposing or allowing to be placed or exposed anywhere inside or outside the Property any placard, notice or sign for advertising or any other purpose; or 7. affixing to or erecting upon or near the Property any radio or TV antenna or tower. Insurance 22. The Tenant is hereby advised and understands that the personal property of the Tenant is not insured by the Landlord for either damage or loss, and the Landlord assumes no liability for any such loss. The Tenant is advised that, if insurance coverage is desired by the Tenant, the Tenant should inquire of Tenant's insurance agent regarding a renter's policy of insurance. 23. The Tenant is not responsible for insuring the Landlord's contents and furnishings in or about the Property for either damage or loss, and the Tenant assumes no liability for any such loss. 24. The Tenant is not responsible for insuring the Property for either damage or loss to the structure, mechanical or improvements to the building of the Property, and the Tenant assumes no liability for any such loss.

Absences 25. The Tenant will inform the Landlord if the Tenant is to be absent from the Property for any reason for a period of more than fourteen days. The Tenant agrees to take such measures to secure the Property prior to such absence as the Landlord may reasonably require and take appropriate measures to prevent frost or flood damage.

Legal Fees 26. In the event that any action is filed in relation to this Agreement, the unsuccessful party in the action will pay to the successful party, in addition to all the sums that either party may be called on to pay, a reasonable sum for the successful party's attorney fees.

Governing Law 27. This Agreement will be construed in accordance with and governed by the laws of United States and the parties submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English Courts.

Severability 28. If there is a conflict between any provision of this Agreement and the Act, the Act will prevail and such provisions of the Agreement will be amended or deleted as necessary in order to comply with the Act. Further, any provisions that are required by the Act are incorporated into this Agreement.

Assignment and Subletting 29. The Tenant will not assign this Agreement, or sublet or grant any concession or licence to use the Property or any part of the Property. An assignment, subletting, concession, or licence, whether by operation of law or otherwise, will be void and will, at Landlord's option, terminate this Agreement.

Care and Use of Property 30. The Tenant will promptly notify the Landlord of any damage, or of any situation that may significantly interfere with the normal use of the Property or to any furnishings supplied by the Landlord. 31. Vehicles which the Landlord reasonably considers unsightly, noisy, dangerous, improperly insured, inoperable or unlicensed are not permitted in the Tenant's parking stall(s), and such vehicles may be towed away at the Tenant's expense. Parking facilities are provided at the Tenant's own risk. The Tenant is required to park in only the space allotted to them. 32. The Tenant will not make (or allow to be made) any noise or nuisance which, in the reasonable opinion of the Landlord, disturbs the comfort or convenience of other tenants. 33. The Tenant will not park (or allow to be parked) any caravan, boat or vehicle by the Property, if such parking, in the reasonable opinion of the Landlord, would cause nuisance or annoyance to neighbors or to anyone nearby. 34. The Tenant will keep the Property in good repair and condition and in good decorative order. 35. The Tenant or any one living with the Tenant will not engage in any illegal trade or activity on or about the Property including, but not limited to, using the Property for drug storage, drug dealing, prostitution, illegal gambling or illegal drinking. 36. The Landlord and Tenant will comply with standards of health, sanitation, fire, housing and safety as required by law. 37. The hallways, passages and stairs of the building in which the Property is situated will be used for no purpose other than going to and from the Property and the Tenant will not in any way encumber those areas with boxes, furniture or other material or place or leave rubbish in those areas and other areas used in common with any other tenant. 38. Boots and rubbers which are soiled or wet should be removed at the entrance to the building in which the Property is located and taken into the Tenant's Property. 39. At the expiration of the agreement term, the Tenant will quit and surrender the Property in as good a state and condition as they were at the commencement of this Agreement, reasonable use and wear and damages by the elements excepted.

Repairs 40. The Landlord agrees to carry out any repairing obligations as required by section 11 of the Act including keeping in repair and proper working order: 1. the structure and exterior of the Property; and 2. the installations for the supply of water, gas and electricity and the installations in the Property for space heating or heating water.

Gas Safety 41. The Landlord will ensure that all gas appliances, flues and installation in the Property are checked by an American Gas registered technician on an annual basis.

Hazardous Materials 42. The Tenant will not keep or have on the Property any article or thing of a dangerous, flammable, or explosive character that might unreasonably increase the danger of fire on the Property or that might be considered hazardous by any responsible insurance company.

Rules and Regulations 43. The Tenant will obey all rules and regulations posted by the Landlord regarding the use and care of the building, parking lot, laundry room and other common facilities that are provided for the use of the Tenant in and around the building containing the Property.

General Provisions 44. Any waiver by the Landlord of any failure by the Tenant to perform or observe the provisions of this Agreement will not operate as a waiver of the Landlord's rights under this Agreement in respect of any subsequent defaults, breaches or non-performance and will not defeat or affect in any way the Landlord's rights in respect of any subsequent default or breach. 45. This Agreement will extend to and be binding upon and inure to the benefit of the respective heirs, executors, administrators, successors and assigns, as the case may be, of each party to this Agreement. All covenants are to be construed as conditions of this Agreement. 46. All sums payable by the Tenant to the Landlord pursuant to any provision of this Agreement will be deemed to be additional rent and will be recovered by the Landlord as rental arrears. 47. Where there is more than one Tenant executing this Agreement, all Tenants are jointly and severally liable for each other's acts, omissions and liabilities pursuant to this Agreement. 48. The Tenant will professionally steam clean the carpets on a yearly basis and at the termination of this Agreement or the Landlord may charge the Tenant or deduct the cost of having the carpets professionally steam cleaned from the security deposit. BANGKOK (thaivisa.com) -- Thai Immigration Bureau has issued a new regulation to be enforced from today, June 1, 2009.

In a crackdown on foreigners who regularly abuse the tourist exemption rule of getting 15 days stay at border entry points, the Immigration Bureau has confirmed and informed thaivisa.com of the following new regulation:

A foreigner who has entered the kingdom four (4) consecutive times on 15 days tourist exemption stamps, will not be allowed to leave the country and reenter Thailand. The only option is to exit Thailand and re-enter via an international airport, which will allow a further 30 day stay.

Thaivisa.com has today confirmed the new regulations with the Immigration checkpoints in Pong Nam Ron and Aranyaprathet at the Cambodian border. We have also got confirmation from bus visa run companies that the new regulations are enforced from today June 1, 2009. Immigration checkpoints bordering Laos, Myanmar and Malaysia are expected to enforce the regulation shortly.

The new rules does not affect holders of visas issued abroad. Foreigners are advised to apply for a Tourist visas or Non-Immigrant visas at a Royal Thai Embassy or consulate outside Thailand instead of abusing the 15 day exemption rule.

As usual, holders of Tourist visas will be given 60 days stay while Non-Immigrant visa holders will be allowed 90 days stay.
