nous projetons d'aller au MEXIQUE en novembre ou décembre 2004 et je souhaiterais organiser notre voyage de 15 jours environs avec un T.O. local qui fournirait véhicule, guide francophone et s'occuperait des réservations hotelières . Quelqu'un connait il des T.O. mexicains pouvant faire ceci à prix correct ? ( nous ne recherchons pas le luxe au niveau de l'hotellerie mais un minimun de confort . Notre objectif est de visiter les sites mayas ( Mexico, Oxaca, Pueble, yucatan etc ) et de cotoyer la population ; nous ne voulons pas faire un voyage à 20 dans un bus et ne cotoyer que les gens des hotels et magasins

il est bizarre de constater comment les prix des cayos peuvent etre abordable 998 $$ souvent alors qu il y a des hotels a 1500 $$ pourquoi une si grosse difference. je veux juste faire un choix eclairer. pourquoi payer 1500 si on peut payer 998 $$

Un truc interessant lorsqu'on veut voyager en individuel sur de courtes periodes (1 ou 2 semaines) vers des destinations "grand public" du genre Cuba, RD, Yucatan, Canaries, Maroc, Baleares, Grece, Turquie et accessoirement quelques autres est de profiter des offres "tout-inclus". Celles-ci comprennent toujours le vol + hebergement (en 3 a 5* selon).

Lorsqu'on regarde les pubs des uns et des autres on voit souvent de supers tarifs pour ce genre de prestations (actuellement sur VF la RD pour 9 jours/7 nuits a partir de 669 Euros avec Vivacances). Et si l'on compare avec le prix d'un vol seul A/R sur la destination en question, on s'apercoit le plus souvent qu'il n'y a pas vraiment beaucoup de difference (et encore moins si on ajoute l'hebergement), sinon meme que le sejour propose est moins cher qu'un vol sec.

Donc, finalement, rien n'empeche d'acheter un tout-inclus, de profiter de l'avion et si l'on a envie des nuits d'hotel qui vont avec, et ensuite de partir faire sa vie tout seul.

Alors (question que doivent se poser certains) pourquoi le tout-inclus est-il si peu cher ? Tout simplement parce que le voyagiste qui le propose, s'il ne fait quasiment aucun benef sur l'aerien et le prix de la chambre afin de trouver un maximum de clients, recupere tres largement sur tous les supplements divers et varies (bar, excursions, activites...) proposes par l'hotel dont il est soit proprietaire, actionnaire ou en affaires. Vu que tres peu de clients sortent par eux-memes hors des murs de l'hotel et vu les tarifs effarants (cf. forum "Tout-inclus") des excursions et autres trucs proposes par rapport aux prix reels, c'est sur qu'il sont loin d'etre perdants....

on voudrait faire l'inde du sud cet ete, mais les vols sur bombay ou madras sont plus cher, on a trouve un vol pas cher sur delhi

y a t il un train delhi madras, si oui combien de temps dure le trajet ?

I wanted to share my experience from the trip I had this summer in Mongolia, in case it helps anyone get their bearings—I also relied a lot on forums myself.

We went as a couple with a French-speaking guide, Hacha, for a 17-day trek through the steppes and the Gobi Desert.

The experience was amazing—the landscapes are truly diverse and stunning. We started with a quick visit to Ulaanbaatar, then headed into the steppes for half the trip, including the Orkhon Valley, before moving on to the desert, which isn’t just sand but has incredibly varied scenery.

We traveled with Hacha, who has been a guide for 27 years and knows Mongolia inside out. She was accompanied by her daughter (with our consent). Hacha teaches French the rest of the year and speaks it perfectly. Her kindness and humor were much appreciated, and she’s become a friend. She prepared delicious homemade meals throughout the trip, adapted to European tastes since she’s used to it. We also had a driver who was really friendly and professional.

I injured myself on the way there with a sprained ankle, and Hacha immediately adjusted the pace and some activities to accommodate my injury, as well as booking more comfortable lodgings for the first few nights. She didn’t tell us it cost her extra, and we only found out later—we chose to pay a supplement, but she never asked for anything. Hacha was very fair with money, and her rates seem a bit lower than what we’d found elsewhere. She also tailors the program to the budget we gave her, and we had the option to adjust accommodations to fit our budget.

As for lodging, we stayed in tourist yurt camps (more comfortable with restaurants, showers, etc.), guest yurts, nights with nomadic families, and a few nights in tents. Our most memorable experience was two nights with nomads who welcomed us warmly, even though it was only the second time they’d hosted tourists. They shared their traditions with us, and the location was beautiful—right by a lake.

Hacha also adapted to our last-minute requests. For example, I mentioned wanting to see a shaman, which was tricky since it wasn’t planned in advance (my fault for not bringing it up earlier), but she used her contacts to see if there was a possibility. Unfortunately, no shamans were available, but we spontaneously stopped by the family of a young shaman during one of our trips. She wasn’t there, but we got to hear her parents’ stories and ask questions about the rituals to become a shaman and their experiences. It was a rare and unique moment I won’t forget!

We’ll definitely return to Mongolia as a family to explore less touristy regions (though we weren’t really bothered by tourism), as Hacha offers other off-the-beaten-path itineraries, including one that visits a turquoise lake surrounded by sand dunes—which sounds incredible, according to her.

I highly recommend Mongolia to anyone looking for an authentic trip that pushes you slightly out of your comfort zone while still feeling safe and enjoying breathtakingly diverse landscapes. And I 100% recommend Hacha—she created a personalized trip based on our requests and adapted to our needs and wishes on the spot!

Hi, We just received an email from Volotea saying our flight time has changed (by more than 2 hours). The email states "you can request a free date change." If I change the date, will the flight price stay the same as the original price, or will I have to pay the difference? Specifically: Our flight on the 7th is 46.25 €, and the one on the 8th is 92.51 €. If we switch to the 8th, how much will we pay? I'd love some destination suggestions for a road trip from Nice to Livorno by car, including the routes, tolls to cross, distance, and estimated travel time. I’ve been wondering: Is it still reasonable to rent a car in the U.S.?

Apparently, since early January 2025—and very quietly—the most important insurance coverage, namely the driver’s civil liability, has seen its coverage amount drop from $1 million to just $300,000. This coverage is supposed to protect us from damages we might be responsible for while driving. We can go decades without a single scrape (especially if it’s our fault), but anything can happen in a split second. A motorcycle appearing out of nowhere, a misjudgment at one of those huge intersections with staggered traffic lights, and suddenly we could be deemed at fault for the accident. We’d then have to pay out of pocket for the other party’s medical expenses. Given what hospitals charge... it can easily exceed $300,000 and turn into a nightmare in no time!!! Plus, anyone who’s driven on American roads has seen those billboards for lawyers offering their services to accident victims. So on top of the sky-high medical bill, the lawyer will demand compensation worthy of a Hollywood movie!!!! So, is it even worth getting behind the wheel in America anymore? Well... that’s just my take! And on top of that, I haven’t found any insurance company that offers such high civil liability coverage. Chapka and others do offer coverage in the millions, but motor vehicles are excluded.... So here’s the thing... Unless I’ve "missed something," I’ve come to this conclusion: Renting a car in the U.S. is like playing Russian roulette! But maybe I’m being too pessimistic? What do you think?

Hi, I’m traveling to New Zealand in January 2026 with Lufthansa. To check the allowed baggage dimensions, I went to my "booking" account on the Lufthansa website. And that’s when I discovered that my last layover, the Zurich-Bordeaux flight operated by Swiffairlines, was canceled. I never received an email, and even worse, it’s not even noted on my booking. So I contacted Lufthansa. They told me that for now, there are no other flights but that there will be by the time I leave. They advised me to call them every week to get a flight. After Anse Intendance, we head to Police Bay, located at the very southern tip of Mahé. Swimming and snorkeling aren’t ideal there (lots of waves)—just for the view!









On the way back, we stopped to visit some "typical" Seychellois houses, including one of the oldest.







We got back to the port around 6:30 PM, with memories filling our heads.

We were really happy with this day, and our guide/driver was exceptional! We even gave him a nice tip.
