We’ve just returned from a few days in Cork with my partner, and we really wanted to share our experience with you. We loved the vibe of the city and its surroundings!

What we loved:

The highlight of our visit was definitely our guided walking tour of Cork City. We booked it through GetYourGuide with Dorren, and honestly, it was amazing. If you're looking for a guide in French, go for it—he’s the only one we found offering this service, and he does a remarkable job. He knows the city like the back of his hand and shared anecdotes we’d never have found in regular guidebooks.

We also spent ages at the English Market, a must-visit for food lovers. The atmosphere is authentic, the local products are excellent—it’s really the heart of the city.

A little stop in Cobh:

We also took the time to head down to Cobh. It’s a gorgeous town with its colorful houses climbing up the hill and its majestic cathedral overlooking the harbor. The maritime history is very present—it’s an emotional and very photogenic visit.

A few extra tips:

Must-see: St. Peter and Paul Church. It’s truly stunning, much more impressive and rich in detail than we expected.

Avoid: To be honest, we were a bit disappointed by St. Finbarr’s Cathedral. We’d heard so much about it, but inside, we felt the decor wasn’t really worth the entry fee. In my opinion, you can skip it or just admire it from the outside.

Food:

If you’re looking for somewhere to eat, we tried Market Lane. It was a real favorite! The ingredients are super fresh (they often use produce from the English Market), the menu is great, and the service is top-notch. Just remember to book ahead—it’s a popular spot, and now we understand why!

In short, Cork is a perfect destination for a city break. If you have any questions about the itinerary or the tour with Dorren, don’t hesitate!

We spent two weeks in the Seychelles at the end of March and beginning of April 2026. We split our stay as follows: 4 nights on La Digue, nights on Praslin (assuming you meant a specific number here—let me know if you'd like to correct it!), and 6 nights on Mahé. It’s a classic itinerary.

Inter-island transfers are done with the Cat Coco company. You can book the transfers online on their website, which also offers an airport-to-port shuttle when you arrive in Mahé. It takes about 50 minutes to go from Mahé to Praslin and 10 minutes between Praslin and La Digue.

La Digue is an island with very few cars (only taxis and a few official or business vehicles) and lots of bikes. You can rent them everywhere on the island—we rented ours from our landlady. Things to see and do on the island: a bike tour around the island, the Veuve Reserve (it’s a bird), Union Estate with a giant tortoise park, and especially Anse Source d’Argent (our favorite beach across all three islands) and all the other coves, including Grande Anse, Petite Anse, and Anse Sévère.

For food, there are several takeaways on the island and plenty of small shops for groceries—same goes for the other two islands.

On Praslin, we rented a car, but you can also use the bus network. There aren’t many destinations, the main one being the Vallée de Mai, a must-visit as the sanctuary of the coco de mer (the "butt nut"). It’s best to visit with a guide—they wait for a small group, and the ticket price can be split four ways. You *can* visit alone, but you’ll miss out on a lot of information. Another destination is Anse Georgette, in the north of the island near the airport and the golf course of a big resort. Have your accommodation notify the hotel when you’re heading there, and if you’re driving, park as soon as you see the first signs for the parking lot. Anse Lazio is famous, but much more touristy than Anse Georgette. We stayed in Anse Volbert Village at Côte d’Or, a stunning 3 km beach with shops, takeaways, and restaurants.

Mahé is the largest island. Like on Praslin, you can rent a car or use the buses—we rented one. The roads are good but sometimes narrow. Don’t forget the mountainous terrain in this part of the Seychelles, which makes some climbs very steep (same as on Praslin). Opt for small cars—they’re often automatic, and remember you drive on the left here!

Things to see on Mahé: the Jardin du Roi, a collection of everything that grows in the Seychelles—very interesting, with a great restaurant. Visit Anse Intendance, Anse Bazarca, and Police Bay in the south—three gorgeous beaches. Also check out Anse Royale. For souvenirs, head to the Craft Village, where you can find some unique items. If you’re a fan, visit the Takamaka distillery.

In conclusion, we should’ve added one or two more nights on La Digue—it’s really beautiful—and only stayed three nights on Praslin. We rented apartments through Booking and Airbnb. Don’t forget to get your tourist visa online. The Seychelles is a clean, safe, relaxed, and stress-free country

Family of 4—2 adults and 2 kids (11 and 15) who are well-traveled. We’re planning a 15-day trip to Indonesia and would love your thoughts on our itinerary. We love discovering local culture, food (!!), seeing beautiful landscapes, and keeping an active pace. We’re not the type to lounge on the beach for 5 hours or spend ages by the pool when we’re halfway across the world. Also, we try to avoid places "ruined" by mass tourism (like Holbox in Mexico, which we loved 10 years ago but not at all on our last visit, or Phi Phi in Thailand, completely destroyed by mass tourism).

"Unattended parking located about 12 minutes away, fenced off with barriers, at a rate of 10 € per day. Drop off passengers and luggage at the Model Pavilion, and a CFC shuttle will take you from the parking lot to the Model Pavilion every 15-20 minutes. Same for disembarkation. You can book through your agency or on their website. No refunds if the booking is canceled; payment is due at reservation." After spending 15 days in Tenerife in February 2026, here are a few observations that might be useful for you: - Choosing Puerto de la Cruz turned out to be an excellent decision (compared to Santa Cruz, which is Lonely Planet’s pick, for example). Puerto de la Cruz has two large beaches just a 10-minute walk from the center. The atmosphere around the small port is lovely. It’s a human-scale town. The bus station makes it easy to get anywhere on the island. Carnival season is an exceptional time to visit! - Opting for the unlimited weekly bus pass for 50 € is economical (especially if you're traveling solo), eco-friendly, and practical (lots of departures and returns). The roads on major routes are often congested, and the bus network is improving—you can support this effort by traveling this way. - For hikes, I tested Teide National Park (arrival and departure by bus). Starting from El Portillo at the park entrance, the Arenas Negra circuit (2.5 to 3 hours) is stunning toward the end. You can add a section of Route 1 on the other side of the road (maps and great info at the tourist office). At the other end of the park, "Roques de Garcia" is a spectacular route—crowded but a must-see... - Tourist towns like La Orotava or La Laguna are worth the visit. Garachico has a certain charm too...

Hi! We spent 10 wonderful days in Guadeloupe’s gorgeous climate. Our arrival got off to a shaky start, though—our suitcase was left behind at the airport, which caused quite a stir. A police officer was shouting at us to get out and cross the street. Then, a taxi driver refused to take us after we showed him where we were staying, right by the port in Pointe-à-Pitre. "No one goes there," he told us! Good thing we arrived during Carnival! A second driver finally agreed to take us, and I can say he knew every nook and cranny of his city.

The rest of the trip was amazing. The locals were smiling and welcoming. We didn’t rent a car, so we didn’t get around much and stayed in the Deshaies area—a real favorite. Plage de la Perle (Pearl Beach) truly lives up to its name! We liked Grande Anse Beach less because of the steep slope, which made walking tricky, and the waves were pretty intense. The landscapes in this part of the island are idyllic. We visited the botanical garden—it’s worth it—and went to the port in Deshaies. If we ever go back, we’ll rent a vehicle so we can explore more, because taxis aren’t cheap!
