Je viens souvent lire vos commentaires mais j'écris pour la première fois, je me renderai du 13 au 27 décembre prochain au RIU Turquesa à Varadero.

Je n'ai reçu aucun commentaire de personnes étant allé à cet endroit sauf celui de mon agent de voyage en qui j'ai entièrement confiance soit dit en passant mais j'aimerais quand même recevoir d'autres commentaires si possible😇 j'apprécierais beaucoup.

Nous repartons les deux dernières semaines de décembre 2003. Notre itinéraire sera Madras-Bombay en voiture avec chauffeur. Comme nous aimons voyager sans contrainte, est-ce possible, à cette période fort touristique, de ne réserver aucun hotel ? Dans le nord, nous n'avons eu aucun problème à la période de Paques mais est-ce aussi facile dans le sud ?

Pour des raisons professionnelles, je dois prendre 2 semaines de congés en Août 🤪.

Est-il raisonnable d'envisager un voyage à Angkor à cette période ? La mousson est-elle trop violente pour permettre une visite agréable de ce site ... ou est-ce gérable ?

Nous rentrons d'un séjour de 3 semaines en Inde du Sud. Heureusement Internet est encore là pour prolonger le rêve...

Je tenais tout particulièrement à remercier Christophe, Claude et surtout Sandrine pour tous les précieux conseils qui nous ont permis de préparer avec succès ce 1er séjour en Inde.

Le pays est très attachant et ne ressemble vraiment à aucun autre. Le subtile mélange des genres est fabuleux, parfois déconcertant mais à tout moment, les vibrations sont présentes....

Vous avez compris, on a adoré !!

Serait-ce un pays dangereux ? N'y aurait-il aucun habitant avec qui partager, aucune particularité culturelle à découvrir ? La situation politique est telle qu'il ne faudrait pas la cautionner (argument peu fréquemment utilisé par les touristes) ?

Ou alors, et je pense que j'ai trouvé ici la raison de ce silence, le Paraguay a tellement à offrir au voyageur que les petits malins qui l'ont déjà visité voudraient le garder pour eux ?

Revenant du Venezuela, je vous deconseille Caracas actuellement: l ambiance y est merdique pour cause de "semi guerre" civile. Par contre, le reste du pays vaut vraiment la peine. Aucun touristes et prix defiants toute concurrence. A noter Choroni, Ile Marguerite et surtout la Savana Grande dans le debut de l Amazonie (plus hautes chutes d eau du monde mais il vaut mieux attendre un mois que le debit d eau grossisse).

Est-il jouable de partir au tibet pour qq semaines sans parler ni chinois ni tibetain?

Génial!!!!!!! Une des plus belle "chose" que j'ai vu dans ma vie avec le site Khmer d'Angkor... Allez y, foncez, prenez vos rouleaux de pelicules photos, des bonnes chaussures, les gens sont adorables, et pour le moment, ya pas un chat alors qu'il n'y a aucun problèmes dans ce coin là. A voir absolument au moins une fois dans sa vie!!!😎

Does anyone know of a private transfer or taxi company that organizes transfers from the Sukhothai area to Chiang Mai? Our routes are Sukhothai-Lampang, Lampang-Chom Thong, and Chom Thong-Chiang Mai. My searches on Google Maps, 12Go, and others haven’t turned up much...

For our Bangkok-Sukhothai trips, I use a company I’ve already tried, but they don’t have a fleet available from Sukhothai and have to go through third-party companies—which, understandably, take their commission. This nearly doubles the prices...

There are four of us, and we’re not traveling light, so a minibus isn’t an option. ;-)

Summer 2022 left me with a sense of unfinished business, so here I am back in Swedish Lapland for summer 2024, ready to attempt the Sarek crossing again—and this time, tackle part of the Kungsleden too.

After much hesitation, my partner Jean Marie and I decided to start with the Kungsleden, which is, from what we’ve read, stunning but very busy (and it really is!!), and finish with the wilder option: SAREK! This park is known as Europe’s last true wilderness—sounds like a dream, right?! The downside of this plan is that there’s no way to resupply in Sarek, and the Kungsleden isn’t exactly set up for long-distance trekking either, so we’ll have to carry a lot of food for the first part of the trip with Sarek in mind. Oh well, we’re motivated!

Our plan is to start in Abisko (the classic route), head to Vakkotavare (also classic, but with some variations to avoid the official trail and the crowds), then continue the Kungsleden from Saltoluokta. Before reaching Aktse, we’ll set off on an east-to-west crossing of Sarek (weather-dependent, since aside from the Skarja hut in the center of the park, there’s no shelter if conditions turn bad). At least we’ll be on the right side of the park to climb Skierfe and enjoy the jaw-dropping view of Rappaladen if we have to bail on Sarek.

All in all, that’s 17 days of trekking, including 1 rest day and 1 buffer day for weather delays.

We're leaving for Albania on June 18th. When I validated the flight tickets with Wizz Air on Booking, I only put my son's first name but forgot to include his other three first names on the ticket. On the passport: SURNAME: Dupont, FIRST NAMES: toto titi tutu tata On the flight ticket: SURNAME: Dupont, FIRST NAME: toto I can't seem to reach anyone at Wizz Air to get an answer. Booking and Wizz Air's chat say I need to modify it, but ChatGPT says it should be fine. I wanted to know if he can fly like this or if I need to change his ticket? I’m heading to Sri Lanka for 3 weeks in July with my two 11-year-old kids, and I’m wondering about how to organize the trip. We’re used to traveling on the go, staying 1 to 2 or 3 nights per place depending on how we feel.

Do you recommend planning the itinerary and booking accommodations in advance to save time once we’re there? Or is it pretty easy to organize everything as we go without any issues?

Same question for activities: Should we book safaris and tours ahead of time, or can we arrange them easily on the spot? Is there a risk of not getting a spot, for example, to visit a park since we’ll be there in July?

We’ll be using local transport (train, VTC via PickMe, tuk-tuk) to get from one place to another.

In short: Are there any must-book things we should reserve now? So far, I only have the flight tickets!

Last year, we stayed for 3 months in Thailand, north of Khao Lak, and were able to benefit from the 2-month visa exemption, renewable for one month by going to Takua Pa to validate a 1-month extension (1,900 baht). This year, it’s a disaster for us—not only were we planning a 4-month stay, adding a visa run in between (which some say is quite risky), but the law is apparently changing in the coming months with the return of the 1-month exemption (plus the usual 1-month option). So, we looked into applying for a 6-month multiple-entry visa, allowing a maximum of 60 consecutive days in Thailand. However, I can’t find anywhere the minimum time required outside Thailand between two stays—do any of you have an idea? Thanks for the info! If you’d like tips on Khao Lak and the surrounding areas, we’ve got some experience, though things change fast! Cheers, Bruno.

Hi everyone, I’m currently working on a 30-day itinerary for May/June 2027. 10 days in eastern Java (Malang, Bromo, waterfalls, Meru Beriti Park, Banyuwangi, and Ijen), a short transit in Ubud for a few days, then Flores before heading back to Jakarta. We’ll spend 15 days in Flores (the classic route: Moni, Bajawa, Riung, Ruteng, ending in Labuan Bajo). I’d love some firsthand feedback on flights to Maumere or Ende from Bali Denpasar. I know there are no direct routes and that you have to connect through Labuan Bajo or Timor (I think), which isn’t an issue in itself. But I’ve read here and there that flights to these destinations can be delayed—or worse, canceled—and that it’s better to fly in and out of Labuan Bajo, which isn’t exactly ideal... Thanks for any tips or experiences you can share!

I’m used to hiking in the mountains, but I sometimes get vertigo, for example on ridges with drops on both sides.
