je pars en janvier au vietnam en arrivant à Ho chi minh (Saigon) et je souhaite aller tout de suite à Angkor au Cambodge avant de revenir au vietnam visiter le pays. Existe t-il des tours operators qui organisent cela depuis Saigon ? en combien de jours et pour quel prix ? Faut t-il faire un visa special pour quelques jours Seulement ? A quis'adresser sur place pour le faire ? l'ambassade du cambodge ?

Je me suis mariée en septembre et on a récolté assez d'argent pour deux billets secs pour les Seychelles en décembre. On a vu sur les catalogues des tours opérateurs des croisières en catamaran . Ca a l'air absolument génial mais pas super abordable. On ne cherche pas un bateau luxueux. c'est plutot le coté amarrage dans des lieux inacessibles qui nous plait. est il posssible de négocier sur place avec des propriétaires de bateaux ou des pecheurs pour effectuer une croisière de 3 ou 4 jours ?? Si vous avez des plans...

On cherche également un hébergement sympa et abordable à Praslin et La Digue soit chez l'habitant soit en Bungalow. Les adresses sont les bienvenus.

On part avec un couple d'amis en thailande le 27 dec 2003, on prendrait donc un vol sec, mais pour un pays avec une histoire aussi belle que complexe merite quand meme mieux que de faire le tour du pays avec le guide du routard entre les mains !🙁

J'aimerais donc savoir s'il existe des tours operateurs (sur place ou france) qui pourrait "preparer" notre arrivée, c'est a dire, d'assurer les transferts, de trouver les hotels (les points d'accroches), et eventuellement de preparer des excus que l'on aura choisi... sans pour autant passer par des circuits pre-defini par les tours operateurs... accompagné de 55 touristes dans un bus, j'aime pas le "moutonage"... ca va me saouler assez vite😠

j'ai pas trop envie de perdre 2 jours par semaine a m'occuper des transferts, des hotels etc... et j'ai pas envie de partir en club... j'aimerais faire notre propre circuit, et rencontré des guides locaux (parlant francais si possible) pour qu'il nous comte les merveilles de la thaillandes...😇

Je viens de parcourir le forum sur les sujets concernant la thailande et je le trouve très interesant. En effet, je dois partir en THAILANDE au mois de novembre (voyage de noce) et je souhaiterais opter pour une formule de type circuit proposer par les TOURS OPERATOR de type JET TOURS, ASIA, FRAM ou encore KUONI. Néanmoins, je ne vois pas trop de différence à part les prestations d'hôtels aussi, je souhaiterais avoir votre avis sur ce genre de circuit et vers qui dois-je m'orienter afin de faire un voyage inoubliable. Je me doute que ce genre de circuit est un peu conventionnel et assez touristique et qu'il vaut mieux partir seul. Néanmoins, je recherche également le comfort.

N'hésitez pas à me donner votre opinion sur ces circuits (organisations, prestations, visites, interet) car je ne sais pas vers qui m'orienter? Que faut t'il visiter impérativement? Y-a t'il des circuits mieux que d'autres?

Je souhaiterai me rendre au vietnam, je ne sais pas encore dans quelles conditions ni dans combien de temps, aussi, qui peut me dire la meilleure période pour partir, quels sont les tours opérators les mieux sur la destination et les sites à ne pas manquer, combien de temps prévoir si l'on veut faire un circuit le plus enrichissant possible, je suis interessée surtout par la vie des gens, les us et coutumes, les paysages plus que par les monuments et musées et n'ayant plus 2O ans j'aime un certain confort. Hello! We headed to Uzbekistan at the end of February 2026. The main goal of the trip was to explore the mountains on skis, but of course, we did some backpacking along the way too!

For skiing, we checked out two spots: first, the Chimgan and Amirsoy region. The infrastructure is brand new (hotels, ski lifts, restaurants). We managed some great tours, especially in Amirsoy, where the gondola gave us a real boost and let us go even further.

Next, we moved on to Gilan, just a stone’s throw from the Tajik border. The scenery was completely different—wild and rugged. We stayed in a super cozy little guesthouse, learned how to make Plov, and ate like kings. Despite the unpredictable weather, we had amazing ski tours. The villagers got a kick out of seeing us walk around with our skis on our shoulders—it’s probably not something they see every day!

After our skiing buddies headed home, we explored Khiva, Moynaq, Bukhara, Samarkand, and Tashkent before flying back.

As usual, we didn’t plan anything in advance, and traveling off-season was definitely the way to go. There was plenty of space everywhere. We traveled by train (except for Moynaq). It’s super easy—you buy tickets through the app, and you don’t even need to print them.

Hello, We’re a French couple, aged 69 and 74, and we’d love to visit several national parks in the American West, including—of course—the Grand Canyon, Zion, Bryce Canyon, Monument Valley, Valley of Fire, Arches National Park, Canyonlands National Park, Yosemite National Park, and Yellowstone National Park. We’re planning a flexible trip of 15 to 20 days between April and June 2027.

One of us will buy the America the Beautiful pass for $250, and we’ll obviously split the cost of gas.

I’ll answer the two questions you’re probably wondering about: Why aren’t we renting a vehicle ourselves? Because we’ve barely driven in our lives. And why aren’t we taking an organized tour? Because most group tours only hit a few parks and rush through with round-trip flights from France. We’d like to extend this trip to visit iconic American cities and places for an extra month and a half.

If you’re interested in visiting some of the parks—even if not all of them—with us, please let us know. As I mentioned, our dates are very flexible.

A lot of people find it important to stick to their budget when traveling—not to skimp, but to visit as many places as possible since traveling is their hobby.

In this post, I want to share some tips for those coming to Morocco who want their trip to be budget-friendly.

1. Prebook everything: hotels or riads, car rentals, or tours. If you book these in advance, it’ll make your life easier. You won’t have to deal with hagglers or people trying to overcharge you for services that are available online for free. Use platforms like Booking, Expedia, carsrental.ma, Airbnb, and other booking services to get this done properly.

2. Exchange your money to Moroccan dirhams as soon as you land. 1 € is always a little over 10 dirhams, but many people get charged as if it were exactly 10 dirhams per euro.

3. When visiting an old site or the old medina, avoid talking to vendors and shop owners—they’re really good at getting your attention and making you overpay for things.

4. Ask your tour guide to buy things for you. Yes, they do get a commission, but you’ll probably pay way more if you buy something yourself that they can get cheaply.

5. Walk everywhere. You don’t need a taxi for every little trip. Pick a good location and walk—most Moroccan cities are safe during normal hours.

6. Buy your food, drinks, etc., from supermarkets at normal prices. They can’t overcharge you since they scan every product.

Friday, January 16, The Corniche

Despite the adventures we had the day before (read about it here), we just can’t get up later than 8 a.m. Our minds are a bit clearer and a bit more positive after some sleep.

Breakfast is sumptuous—it really lifts our spirits.

On this Friday morning, almost everything is closed, so we head out to explore the Corniche, which is just a few hundred meters from our hotel in Old Doha.

A marathon is happening today on the Corniche, so the road is closed and empty, making it easy to cross. The palm-shaped streetlights are gorgeous when they’re lit up at night.

The sun is shining, but it’s not very warm—just 19°C at the hottest part of the day. Tough luck, last week it was 24°C.

The walk along the crescent-shaped Corniche is pretty long. From the old town to the modern center, where massive Dubai-style towers rise, it’s a 6 km promenade along the waterfront.



Many dhows are docked, waiting for tourists to take a little cruise in the bay, but visitors are scarce.



The skyscrapers are so stunning, you can’t help but admire them.

Hi there, After arriving in Ho Chi Minh City at the beginning of March 26, where I think I’ll stay for maybe two days (or more?), we’d like to spend a few days in the Mekong Delta. Is it better to stay in one place (Vinh Long, Cai Be, My Tho, An Binh, etc.) and take boat trips every day, or split our time between two or three spots, which means changing accommodation and moving our luggage around? Of course, agencies offer 3- or 5-day tours from Ho Chi Minh City, but are they really worth it, both financially and in terms of the visits themselves? What’s your experience with this? Hi there, We’re planning a trip for two to explore part of Bolivia in a rental car from La Paz. To avoid joining a tour, is it possible to drive across the Uyuni Salt Flats in a rented car?

If so, is there an extra cost, and do we need to book a 4x4 or an SUV?

If not, I’m thinking of renting a standard car for the paved roads and taking a 2-day/1-night tour from Uyuni instead!

For once, I'm heading north... I’ve decided to spend a short time in Iceland, alone, during the first week of July. I’ll only have 5 full days there. Sure, it’s not much, so I’ll focus on what attracts me the most: the Highlands. Obviously, renting a 4x4—or even a regular car—on my own isn’t an option. That’s why I’m breaking my (probably unfounded) principles and have contacted local agencies for "day tours" in small-group format. Well, small-group up to 15 people, anyway... Oh well, I’m going for it! I’m really hesitant about visiting the Golden Circle on the last day, since I’ve read it’s become super crowded. I’d love your thoughts on this. Plus, if I visit that area, I’d want to include Bruarfoss, and as far as I know, only the Troll agency offers that detour. There’s also the Snaefellsnes Peninsula excursion that appeals to me, but it seems time-consuming. Time-consuming like the Jokulsarlon tour I’ve already booked. (But that’s on the first day, so I’ll still be full of energy!) By the last day, I’ll probably be running on empty... Otherwise, I’ll be doing 3 4x4 excursions that I’m really excited about: 1 in Thorsmork Valley, 1 in Landmannalaugar, and 1 in Kerlingarfjöll.

So, Golden Circle or no Golden Circle—that’s the question... Or maybe a relaxed day visiting Reykjavik and a lagoon. Blue Lagoon? Sky Lagoon? Meh...

I’ve been dreaming of doing it with my 16-year-old little brother, who’s in excellent physical shape and very athletic.
