On y mange de délicieuses pizzas pour un prix abordable (apéro+ pizza + 1/4 litre de vin ou 1/2 litre coca + café pour 15 € service compris)

J'ai besoin de votre expérience... Je suis divorcée et j'ai la garde de mes deux enfants. Je pars en voyage prochainement avec eux. Mes enfants ont leurs passeport. Mon agent de voyage, ainsi que le site Internet du Gouvernement du Canada, m'ont informé d'avoir en ma possession une lettre assermentée décrivant mon voyage, m'autorisant de voyager seul avec les enfants, signé par le père des enfants. Je dois aussi, semble-t-il avoir une copie de mon jugement de divorce.

Une connaissance m'a dit que ce n'est pas assez. Elle connait quelqu'un qui, avec les mêmes documents que moi, n'a pas pu entrer au USA... Quel est votre avis et ou pensez-vous que je peux avoir plus de détails ?

10/08/04 Ca y est ! A l’heure prévue, le bus estampillé " cars de Cornouailles 29750 Loctudy " quitte la gare routière. Je paye mon ticket en euros. Sur un immeuble, une photo géante d’un Bill Clinton hilare : que fait-il ici ? On quitte Pristina.

A 20 kilomètres au sud de la " capitale " du Kosovo, c’est Gracanica. Promenade dans la ville, les prix sont indiqués en dinars, les voitures sont immatriculées en Serbie, les panneaux sont écrits en cyrillique, on parle " yougo ". Pourtant, l’unique route qui traverse l’enclave serbe est empruntée par les véhicules albanais. Un drapeau américain flotte sur une maison. Pourquoi ? On m’a raconté que les américains soutenaient les albanais et pas les serbes. Mais des GI’s protégent le monastère de la ville, un des plus anciens du pays.

Un minibus pour Lipljan, situé 15 kilomètres au sud. Toute petites routes de campagne, détours. On tourne en rond. Les passagers parlent serbe. Le chauffeur salue d’un signe de la main les personnes qui marchent sur le bord de la route. J’imagine qu’ils sont serbes. Et que le minibus l’est lui aussi, qu’il s’agit par exemple d’un bus qui relie les enclaves serbes. Puis, au bout d’une rue, apparaissent quelques maisons sur lesquelles flotte le drapeau rouge et noir albanais. Je suppose qu’on a changé de quartier. Arrêt du minibus dans une rue coupée en deux par des barbelées. Ou est le coté serbe ? Et l’albanais ?

En fait, c’est facile à identifier : beaucoup de monde se pressent dans les rues albanaises. Chacun vaque à ses affaires : marchés, cafés, mosquées… Et personne ne se ballade dans la partie serbe (en fait une simple rue). Exceptés deux vieux qui gardent l’entrée d’une petite église. Devant l’édifice religieux, se trouve une pancarte rouillée : " souvenirs 50 m ". Mais la boutique a apparemment disparue. Tant pis, je n’achèterai pas de cartes postales de Lipljan. Près d’un jardin, ça sent la prune : les arbres sont couverts de fruits. Une jeune fille tricote, assise sur son balcon. Elle a une vue imprenable sur la grosse base irlandaise implantée dans ce " ghetto ". Les blindés sont plus nombreux que les Golfs.

Direction Mitrovica (40 km au nord de Pristina). Sur la route, j’aperçoit un petit panneau bleu : " rue de la paix " Dans cette rue est implanté un camp de soldats français.

A Mitrovica, les deux entités sont aisément identifiables, le fleuve Ibar et un pont couvert de barbelées séparent les deux communautés. Ce pont est gardé par des soldats français. " Plus qu’un mois et dix jours a passer ici " me confie l’un d’entre eux. L’ouvrage a été conçu par un français, Gustave Freyssinet, inventeur du béton précontraint. Une plaque dorée est fixée au milieu du pont en mémoire de l’ingénieur. D’un coté les mosquées, de l’autre les églises. D’un coté les pubs vantant les séjours à Durrès (Albanie), de l’autre, c’est pour Budva (Monténegro). D’un coté on écoute Méda (chanteur albanais à la mode). De l’autre c’est Ceca (chanteuse serbe kitch). Dans la partie serbe, un restaurant s’appelle " chez Pascal ". Une fille en mini jupe se balade près d’un check point gardé par des soldats allemands.

Dans la partie albanaise, les vendeurs de pastèques et de melons posent un bandage de scotch aux fruits fendus par la chaleur. Un gosse interpelle les passants : il vend des cassettes audio. Des filles en débardeur regardent l’étalage d’un vendeur de hidjabs.

A la sortie de la ville, arrêt devant un groupe de maisons. Panneau à l’entrée de ce petit village : " sultanat d’Oman village ". Plus loin, autre arrêt devant un abri bus de tôle jaune financé par l’European Reconstruction Agency.

Soirée à Pristina. Une portion d’un grand boulevard est plongée dans le noir. On ne s’entend pas parler : épiceries et autres commerces ont leur groupe électrogène en marche placé sur le trottoir. Les restos ont installés des bougies sur les tables. Romantique ! Quelques mètres plus loin, l’éclairage public marche, on se masse dans les cybercafés.

A chaque coin de rue, toujours des dizaines de taxis qui attendent l’improbable client. Toujours les 4X4 de l’ONU, l’OSCE ou Coca Cola. Il est tard, à l’hotel, l’eau ne coule plus du robinet. Avant de s’endormir, on a le choix entre RFI, la BBC, une radio italienne, une allemande…

a) Napoli - Pompei 29 minutes (train Interrégional)

b) Napoli - Ercolano 12 minutes (train Interrégional)

c) Napoli - Paestum 1h 26 minutes (train interrégional)

d) Napoli - Matera (lien difficile et long meme si les deux villes ne se trouvent pas loines) 5 heures et 2/3 changes au moins... mais c'est une très belle ville à visiter...

e) Napoli - Caserta (de 30 à 40 minutes)

f) Napoli - Isole dell'arcipelago napoletano (ischia, procida, capri) en ferry

j'ai un petit garçon métis malagache, je l'elève seule mais garde un très bon contact avec sa famille patenelle.

Celle-ci me reclame de plus en plus d'amener mon fils a Mada pour le presenter au reste de la famille.

Bien entendu cela m'attire, mais je me pose beaucoup de questions!

Otherwise, I’ve also found another hotel in Yongsan-Gu, right near the station of the same name. Is that station useful for getting around Seoul?

Since I’ll be in South Korea for nearly two months, I plan to spend at least a week in Seoul to recover from jet lag (it takes me a while to adjust...). So, I’d love a neighborhood that’s pleasant and a hotel not too far from a subway station.

I’ve already been to Bali back in 2012 and have great memories of it, but it seems like mass tourism has only increased since then… so we’d rather avoid the south of the island.

Since I already know the city, I’d love to see something else, but I’m realizing that transport is really slow.

I wanted to go to Karlovy Vary, but it takes longer than I thought… Plus, we won’t be staying near the train station.

So I’m looking for a day trip that’s MAXIMUM 1 hour away by transport.

I really don’t like spending too much time on transport, so if it’s not doable, I’ll just skip it.

If there’s nothing accessible, I won’t bother with day trips—it’s not a big deal.

Between composition and improvisation: Anthony Braxton

For over half a century, the American Anthony Braxton—a composer, multi-instrumentalist, music theorist, university professor, mentor, and visionary—has been one of the key figures in avant-garde contemporary music. Braxton himself describes his music as "creative music," drawing inspiration from jazz, European New Music (Schönberg, Stockhausen, and Xenakis are among the composers who influenced him), and music from various world cultures. In other words, his work uniquely oscillates between composition and improvisation. His body of work includes around 700 compositions, over 200 albums, and a dozen theoretical books.

Anthony Braxton is one of the most striking and brilliant figures in contemporary jazz. As a member of the Creative Construction Company (with violinist Leroy Jenkins and trumpeter Leo Smith) and the quartet Circle (with Chick Corea, Dave Holland, and Barry Altschul—whose double album Circle. Paris Concert is a landmark of contemporary jazz), with his groundbreaking solo alto saxophone album For Alto (1968), his duo with drummer Max Roach, Birth and Rebirth (1978), and especially his own ensembles and large formations, he set out to "redefine the space of music" (Braxton). In doing so, he gave decisive impetus to the development of jazz, making him a star of the avant-garde in the 1970s, with a recording contract from a major label.

Born in 1945 in the South Side, an African-American neighborhood of Chicago, Braxton was always a bit of an outsider, not doing what everyone else did. While the boys in his neighborhood hung out and goofed around, he stayed home pondering chess games or practicing the saxophone. Later, he became a leading figure in the Chicago musicians' organization AACM (Association for the Advancement of Creative Musicians), a mutual aid network for many African-American musicians in Chicago's new jazz scene. He then led his own formations for years, including musicians like George Lewis, John Lindberg, Marilyn Crispell, Gerry Hemingway, Kenny Wheeler, Dave Holland, Barry Altschul, Mark Dresser, Ray Anderson, and Mark Helias. In the mid-1980s, Braxton settled down a bit by accepting a teaching position at Mills College at the University of California, Berkeley. He was a tenured professor at Wesleyan University in Middletown, Connecticut, for many years. From his "school" emerged musicians of the younger generation, such as Taylor Ho Bynum (trumpet), Aaron Siegel (percussion), Jay Rozen (tuba), Jessica Pavone (violin, viola, flute), and Mary Halvorson (guitar).

I’ve seen Anthony Braxton in concert many times: the first time at the Moers Jazz Festival (1976) in a duo with George Lewis (trombone)—I still remember it vividly—the last time in November 2021 in Ulm with his Diamond Curtain Wall Trio (with the incredible Portuguese trumpeter Susanna Santos Silva; see the photos).

Just a few days ago, on June 4, this exceptional figure celebrated his 80th birthday. Congratulations!
