Apart from the Struve Geodetic Arc which crosses the country, Moldova has no sites inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage list.

Moldova Wine Route
Primarily around Chisinau, this route lets you explore Moldova’s vineyards and some surprisingly impressive wine cellars, such as those at Milestii Mici or Cricova. However, for wine quality, it’s best to prioritise the cellars at Château Vartely and Purcari in the south.

Near the Ukrainian border, the city is known for its fortress dating from the early 16th century. Soroca is also the capital of the Roma people in Moldova.
