As with many other nationalities, entry into Algeria is not always straightforward for French citizens due to multiple and sometimes changing requirements.
In practice, visitors must have a passport valid for at least 6 months after the planned departure date, a return or onward ticket, travel insurance, plus either a certificate of accommodation, hotel reservation, or agency attestation if using services. Additionally, a visa (90 days for 85 €) is mandatory and must be requested from the Algerian consulate corresponding to the applicant's place of residence (there are around twenty in France).
