Cape Spartel
Cape Spartel is a rocky promontory at the southern entrance to the Strait of Gibraltar, rising over 300 metres above the sea. The cape features a 110-metre lighthouse, which is generally not open to visitors.
Caves of Hercules
Below the promontory, waves have carved out caves where locals once came to cut millstones. According to legend, Hercules stayed here between two of his labours. Today, the site has become a (very) touristy attraction.
