Population
Bolivian society is quite diverse, with around 55% of the population of Amerindian origin (primarily Quechua and Aymara), 30% mestizo (a mix of White and Amerindian), 15% White (including a very small Mennonite minority), plus a few descendants of Black or Asian people.

Religion
Colonised by the Spanish, Bolivia is a traditionally Catholic country, officially still 80% Catholic, even though there are many non-practitioners. There is also, and especially, a certain syncretism among the Amerindian populations, blending Christian rites with ancestral beliefs, notably the worship of the Pachamama. The rest of the population identifies as Protestant, particularly belonging to various US evangelical churches/sects, which are increasingly present on the continent.
