Climate and Weather in the Amazon
Location Map of Amazon Rainforest
Climate Overview
With daytime temperatures around 30°C and 22°C at night, a large part of the Amazon region has a hot and humid climate year-round. The Amazon is one of the most humid places on Earth, with humidity rarely dropping below 80%. Rainfall, often in the late afternoon, is nearly constant throughout the year, though there’s a distinction between the rainy season—when it pours—and the "dry" season—when it rains less. For visits, the end of the rainy season or the start of the dry season is generally recommended, though timing varies by area due to the region’s vast size.
