Climate and Weather in the Seychelles
Climate Overview
The archipelago enjoys warm, sunny weather year-round, with an annual average temperature of around 29/30°C. However, from early November to March, the monsoon rains make the climate hot and humid. This is the least favorable period for a visit, with cloudy skies and late-afternoon storms that are stronger over the highlands than on the atolls. Additionally, July and August are typically windy, which can make beach stays less pleasant. Otherwise, the rest of the year is problem-free: sunshine and blue skies. Note that, unlike other Indian Ocean islands, the Seychelles are not on the cyclone path.
Best Climate Period for the Seychelles
To make the most of the archipelago, avoid the rainy season, particularly from late November to March. The rest of the year is preferable, even if July and August may be slightly less ideal due to wind.
