For French Citizens
No special entry requirements apply regardless of the length or purpose of the stay. A valid national identity card or passport is sufficient.
Other Nationalities
For citizens of the European Union and Switzerland, a valid passport is required. Like all other overseas territories (or "assimilated"), Saint Barthélemy is not part of the Schengen Area.
For Canadians, no visa is required for stays of less than 30 days. A passport valid for three months beyond the planned departure date is required. A return or onward ticket may be requested.
