It is the country's capital. Beyond a few colonial buildings, its main attraction is its Carnival, one of the most renowned in the world.
San Fernando
The main attraction of this large city is San Fernando Hill Park, which offers a beautiful panoramic view of the surrounding area.

Natural Heritage

Pitch Lake
This small lake in the southwest tip of Trinidad is unique as the world's largest natural asphalt deposit. Over time, it has become a tourist attraction.
Caroni Swamp National Park
This mangrove and marshland area south of Port of Spain is a tourist attraction. Boat tours are available to see the many birds that nest here.
Parc national de Maracas, Trinidad, Trinité-et-Tobago
Maracas National Park
This is the north coast of the island, featuring stunning beaches, particularly around Maracas Bay and Las Cuevas. The area is accessible via a scenic mountain road from the capital.

The wildest part of Tobago’s coastline, with small villages and stunning beaches like Castara, Parlatuvier, and Englishman's Bay. Great for diving.
Southern Coast of Tobago
