Je sais que faire la zone de Marrakech et le Grand Sud au mois d'aout est hors question dû à la canicule.
Mais...quoi dire du climat dans les regions suivantes?
1) Chefchaouen, Cascades d'Ouzoud et environs du Toubkal.
Ce sont des zones de montagne donc en principe, fraiches, non?
2) Essaouira.
Cote atlantique, vent qui souffle, il ne devrait pas y avoir de problème, non?
3) Cote atlantique au sud d'Agadir, c'est à dire, Sidi Ifni, Tarfaya et eventuellement Laayoune.
Malgré que la presence du desert es déjà notable on reste attaché à l'Atlantique donc temperatures supportables, n'est pas?
BONJOUR, en efet toutes ses regions ne sont pas tres chaude la cote atlantique est aeree a essaouira surtout parfois frais ds ses ruelles !je dirai a eviter pour les grosses chaleurs "fes, meknes, marrakech, et ouarzazate + le desert bien sur mais *la cote reste tres agreable l'ete !!!!bon voyage

Je suis allé au Maroc fin Juillet 2003...à moto il est vrai...nous sommes bien en roulant...mais à l'arret...10 fois pire que en voiture.
Chefchaouen : aà ne pas menquer...superbe petite ville bleue...un ravissement pour une entrée au Maroc...T°c correcte!
Essaouira : réputation plus a faire ... T°c jamais trés chaudes (comme tu dis souvent beaucoup de vent....)
Sisi Ifni : tout était gris lorsque nous y sommes allés et 25°c ...les personnes nous ont dit que l'été, le ciel est trés souvent couvert dans cette région....
Le Sud est suffocant, pour sur en été...mais bon ...chez nous...nous fleurtons aussi souvent avec les 40°c en été dans le sud...

Chaouen, ville très sympa et assez fraiche.
Les cascades d'ouzoud, franchement, en été, je n'y retournerai pas. C'est beau c'est sûr mais c'est tellement bondé de monde que ça en perd tout son charme. Les gens font du camping sauvage partout en bas de la cascade, il y a des restos sauvages, des papiers partout, de la musique à donf' (Maroc Inside :-) ), bref rien à voir avec une communion avec la nature.
Essaouira c'est le top l'été : pas trop chaud, pas trop frais, du vent, génial.
Seul souci, comme les cascades : le monde. Un monde fou, surtout s'il fait chaud à Marrakech. Une urbanisation qui a tendance à débloquer à fond également.
Je pense qu'il faut quand même y aller, ne serait-ce que parce que c'est peut-être un des dernières années où la ville restera respirable et gardera un peu de son ancienne magie. (après les promoteurs feront leur sale boulot et il ne devrait plus y rester grand chose). Une adresse très cool, à 10 bornes de la ville : la maison du chameau, c'est une vieille ferme retapée, pas d'electricité, pas de bruit, de la nature, de la bouffe à tomber par terre et des hôtes charmants.
Le Sud d'agadir, même expérience qu'au dessus : ciel gris, flotte limite bretonne, déprime assurée, mais pourtant les villes ont vachement de charme et doivent être très sympas à visiter à une autre période.
Dernière remarque : Fes est très jouable l'été, et c'est le plus grand joyau du Maroc.

Je suis allé à Essaouira le weekend dernier pour le festival et la temperature était franchement bien, rien à voir avec la canicule qui tombe déjà sur la cote mediterraneene de l'Espagne.
Il n'y a pas vraiment d'adresse, c'est sur la route de marrakech, au bout de 2 ou 3 km de pistes.
C'est une asso française de découverte du dromadaire/chameau qui gère le lieu.
L'accueil est très simple, c'est une ancienne ferme de 2 ou3 batiments dans lesquels ils ont installé des chambres propres, sans eau ni électricité (salle de bains commune pour 3 chambres, il y a 3 chambres par batiment, chaque batiment a sa grande cour intérieure tout blanche et fleurie)
Bref, j'y suis allé en plein mois d'aout, c'était vide. On avait le batiment entier avec sa cour pour nous tous seul, super. Bougie le soir. Super cuisine. Grand calme. Pas d'entourloupe. Même les ballades en chameau valent le coup, c'est un peu plus cher qu'ailleurs mais les animaux sont bien traités et les guides pas payés avec des lance-pierres.
J'ai pas l'adresse, ça doit être dans le routard. Compte une grosse vingtaine d'euro la chambre avec petit dèj (somptueux)

Nous voulons faire quelques safaris, aller dans les villages, les montagnes, voir les plantations de thé, ... Mais aussi voir les tortues. Nous adorons le snorkeling mais ne sommes pas de grands connaisseurs, on est juste contents de voir des poissons plein de couleurs et des coraux. On a toujours voulu voir des tortues aussi. I’ve planned a three-week itinerary for this summer, from August 9 to 27, in Sri Lanka:
Negombo – 1 night
Sigiriya and the Cultural Triangle – 4 nights
Kandy – 2 nights
Ella – 3 nights
Tangalle – 6 nights
Colombo Airport – 1 night
I know this isn’t the ideal time for the south since the beach conditions aren’t great, but we’ve booked a hotel with a pool and won’t be swimming in the sea. We want to relax after all the travel since we’re bringing our two kids, aged 6 and 8.
I know the east would be better, but (i) I’m struggling to find suitable accommodation, and (ii) it adds a lot of travel time, and my kids can only handle about 3 hours at a stretch.
I looked into Arugam Bay, but it’s a 7-hour trip back to Colombo from there.
I’ve checked every weather site imaginable, but they don’t all agree. Do you think we’ll spend our whole trip in the rain, or is the monsoon in the south mostly limited to the sea, as I’ve read?
I’m worried about ending up in the middle of a natural disaster with my two young kids, given recent events.

This year, 2026, I can only get away in April and May. I never travel during these months usually, and from what I know, they aren’t the best for India. But in such a big country, there are always spots that are better than others weather-wise.

We’re more drawn to the Andes, exploring colonial cities, typical villages, markets, and a bit of the coast. We’ve already gotten a taste of this in Bolivia, Colombia, and Chile. Plus, we’d love to do part of it by car since we’re used to driving at our own pace and stopping whenever we feel like it. Anyway, time’s running out, and I need to decide so I can finalize a route and book the tickets!!

I’ve planned a trip to Asia for the first half of November.
I’ll arrive in Singapore at the start of November for about 3 days, and I’ll leave from Bangkok in mid-November.
In between, I’d like to gradually head north to visit some less touristy islands on the Thai coast.

Just giving you the quick context: A group of friends and I are planning a trip to South Korea (Seoul/Busan) at the end of June/July next year. It falls right in the middle of the monsoon season, but we don’t really have other availability options.😕
I’d love to hear from people who’ve visited the country and these cities during this period—basically, is it not as bad as it sounds, or should we just cancel our tickets (we don’t mind the heat, it’s mostly the rain that scares us).
I know there are plenty of indoor activities, but do you think we’ll still manage to get a few sunny days, or will it be torrential rain for our entire 2-week trip?
The only other country we’ve visited during the rainy season is Brazil (in the northeast) around the same time, and honestly, aside from a few really annoying downpours, we had sunshine most of the time and it was awesome. That said, the climate is totally different, so I’m not sure how relevant the comparison is.

Not sure if guidebooks, agencies, and other tour operators are keeping up by changing their visiting hours and offerings.
Personally, I see a promising opportunity here—jumping on this adaptation to extreme climates before others do, since they’re inevitably coming.
From my own travel experience, I’ve met a few guides so far who are starting to adjust, like in Egypt, Kenya, Senegal, and elsewhere.
They avoid crowds and the hottest hours by starting their tours around 6–7 AM, when it’s cooler.
Yeah, you’ve gotta wake up early, but the payoff is so worth it. 😴
If you’ve got any great tips like this, why not discuss them in this thread and share addresses or websites where the people in charge have realized climate change is real and are adapting? 😊
