Hi everyone,

My name’s Romain, I’m 33 (turning 34 soon), from Toulouse, and I’m looking for someone who’d like to join me for part of my trip to Thailand starting in early June. I know what people might think about the timing—yes, it’s monsoon season, but that’s exactly why I’m going then: to avoid the huge tourist crowds during peak periods. This trip comes after a lot of tough things that have happened in my life over the past few months, and this part of the world has always called to me... It’ll be my first time traveling outside Europe, and I’ll admit I’m a little nervous about going alone, but if it’s meant to happen, I’ll let fate take care of the rest haha 😄 I chose this moment in my life to go to Thailand to connect with a different way of living, meet locals, wander around, discover new things, and discover myself in the process. I’m a really cheerful, sincere person who loves human connections and genuine exchanges. I’m also very into spirituality and personal growth. Through this post, I’d love to find one or more people who’ve already planned to go there so we can meet up and share part of the journey together, or maybe someone who relates to what I’ve shared and wants to go too but not necessarily alone—I’m open to anything 🙂 If you’re interested, feel free to reply here or send me a private message so we can start chatting. Wishing you all the best, and hope to hear from you soon 😉

Hi Romain, While looking for travel partners for Vietnam, I came across you. I really like the values that come through in your profile. I was wondering if there might be things we could do together. What kind of music do you create or produce? I write a lot of lyrics—I love singing smooth jazz but also dropping words in a more slam-style universe. For your trip, have you left already? Would you like to chat on WhatsApp (I love voice messages) to talk about all this and our shared interests? Philippe 🙂 +33 6 01 96 10 23

Hey Romain! I read your summary. If you want a country that’s really exotic and diverse, it’s India and its many neighboring countries. For my part, I studied in Thailand from 2001 to 2005. These days, Thailand is a bit like Europe, so... You can easily go there solo. Head up North instead, and if you can, go to Laos—it’s very rustic. Life there is great!

You’ll meet other travelers. Vietnam, Cambodia, and Malaysia are all within reach. Generally, Bangkok is the HQ for exploring Southeast Asia! Safe travels! 😊
