je vous écris juste pour vous donner mes impressions sur la croisière avec "bleu de france" que nous avons réalisé il y a deux semaines.
si vous souhaitez faire une croisire, n'hésitez pas, croisière de france est la compagnie idéale pour profiter au maximum de votre voyage.
Tout d'abord, la formule tout inclus est excellente. certes le prix de départ est un peu plus cher que d'autres grosses compagnies comme costa ou msc, mais là, tout est vraiment inclus: du café en passant par les apéritifs, les cocktails, les digestifs mais aussi les thés, infusions verrines à toute heure... le repas du soir se fait dans un restaurant digne des grands restos avec des plats délicieux!
Ensuite, le bateau est de taille humaine. On ne se perd pas dans les couloirs avec 4000 personnes à bord. Là, nous sommes 750 plus le personnel, et le bateau est largement suffisant et spacieux pour tout le mond. Presque personne dans les piscine ou dans les bars, le sourire de tous le personnel de bord.
Enfin, le temps d'escale est suffisant. vous avez le temps de découvrir toutes les villes que vous visitez.
En gros, parfait!
maintenant, les gens qui ont l'habitude des croisières peuvent avoir un autre avis que moi (c'était la première que je faisais), mais si vous êtes simple et que vous recherchez le bonheur, allez sur ce bateau.
PS : je ne travaille pas pour croisière de france!!!
Nous rentrons du BDF et j'ai le même avis que vous.
Tout est parfait, il n'y a rien à redire.
Le prix est peut être un peu plus cher comme vous l'écrivez mais si on additionnait toutes les consommations prises cela ferait monter le prix de la croisière faite sur Costa ou MSC, je crois même qu'on est gagnant car sur Costa les consommations ne sont pas données.
Encore une fois, tout est parfait et il ne faut pas hésitez à prendre ce bateau.
Pour nous, c'était la 2ème fois et la moitié des passagers qui étaient avec nous en était aussi à la leur 2ème ou 3ème croisière sur ce bateau. Quoi dire de plus !!!

Si c'est la première croisière que vous faites comment pouvez vous comparer votre
Bleu de France avec notre MSC Fantasia ou autre Costa.
Je suis sûr que sur le Fantasia avec 4000 personnes nous avons beaucoup plus de place que sur le BDF avec 700.
A aucun moment nous n'étions a l'étroit, il y avait des salons partout pour s'isoler
si besoin. Et tout était plus que parfait, le personnel, les menus...etc, et les spectacles étaint dignes des plus grands cabarets.
Il y a six salons avec des musiques différentes; orquestres, piano bar etc;
Le BDF est un bateau ancien même relooké il ne peut pas rivaliser avec Fantasia ou les nouveaux Costa neufs et modernes beaucoup plus stables que les anciens
333 m de long 18 ponts, 13 jaccuzzi... etc.
Seul point positif en faveur de BDF le tout inclus mais la bouteille d'eau a 1, 80€ ou le cafe a 1, 20€ c'est un prix raisonnable
Si un jour vous avez l'occasion de faire une croisière sur le Fantasia ou sur Costa vous m'en donnerez des nouvelles, vous verrez qu'il n'y a pas photo.
Si vous voulez avoir un petit aperçu du Fantasia.

Je pense que BLEU DE FRANCE par l'age et la taille de son bateau n'est pas comparable avec des grosses compagnies, c'est un concept different

j'ajouterai juste que les boissons sur COSTA ne sont pas hors de prix du tout par exemple 20 cocktails non alcoolisés pour 46 euros, je trouve ça tres correct
le all inclusive devient interessant uniquement si on est de gros consommateurs ou si on est beaucoup sur le bateau !

CONCERNANT l'avis de MANU4116 et popou10, nous pouvons également vous demander comment comparer bleu de france si vous n'avez pas naviguer sur ce bateau. Après, comme je le disais, chacun son opinion, le but étant que chacun puisse trouver satisfaction pendant ses vacances.
Avoir 4000 personnes sur un bateau n'est pas des vacances que je souhaitais. Nous en avons discuter avec plusieurs couples du MSC splendida qui sortaient en même temps que nous. Ils ont été déçus par le service à la va vite et les coûts de consommation qui ont allourdit de 800 euros leur voyage pour un couple; quand aux excursions et les photos vendues sur le bateau, elles sont en moyenne 20-30% plus cheres que sur bleu de france. C'est un fait. Je ne peux pas comparer mais j'ai échangé des points de vue.
Maintenant heureusement que tout le emonde n'est pas d'accord avec mon avis. Mais il reste néanmoins que le bateau bleu de France est idéal et que de ne pas payer les boissons ou avoir le service à toute heure avec taxes portuaires et gratification du personnel inclus dans le prix au départ reste un atout non négligeable.

Quand on prend une formule ALL INCLUSIVE croyez moi on les paye largement !
Certes les grandes unités transportent beaucoup de passagers mais ce n'est pas pour autant qu'on est dans la foule, il y a juste quelques moments d'affluence et le grande majorité du temps, c'est tres fluide, on se retrouve meme souvent vraiment completements seuls a certains endroits du bateau, ça en est bleuffant !
quant au couple qui a consommé pour 800 euros, je me demande bien ce qu'ils ont consommé
a 5 on n'a meme pas dépensé 80 euros à 5 sans se priver !!!
enfin concernant le prix, les croisieres sur les bateaux recents ne sont pas forcement plus cheres que sur le BDF ! je pars bientot sur le NCL GEM durant les vacances scolaires pour 775 euros par personne en mini suite (en interieure cette croisiere coute 400 euros)
a titre de comparaison la croisiere sur BDF hors periode scolaire apparait a partir de 845 euros en categorie la plus basse interieure...

Et bien moi je peut donner mon avis, puisque je suis déjà partie sur un Costa de 3 500 passagers et je ne suis pas du tout d'accord avec vous, qui, de plus, ne connaissez pas le BDF !!! Il n'est pas question de rivaliser avec tel ou tel bateau, il n'y a rien de comparable. Je ne vois pas en quoi vous vous permettez de dire que vous avez plus de place sur le Fantasia que sur le BDF. Parce qu'il y a 18 ponts, 13 Jacuzzis, 6 salons pour 4 000 personnes, heureusement pour ce nombre impressionnants de personnes!!!
Il est tout à fait stable tout autant que vos monstres MSC. L'année dernière nous avons eu une tempête en Atlantique avec des creux de 12 mètres et tout c'est bien passé.
Je n'ai rien contre Costa, nous avions fait une très belle croisière mais je pense qu'il ne faut pas être aussi catégorique dans ses propos quand on ne connait pas.
Le BDF est d'une convivialité inégalée sur les autres bateaux et quant à leur formule tout inclus, désolée, mais nous sommes largement gagnant par rapport aux consommations sur Costa. Une autre personne a répondu : 20 cocktails sans alcool pour 46 €., oui, effectivement, c'est pas très cher sauf que nous, sur le BDF, les 20 coctails sans alcool, on les buvait dans une journée à 3 pers., sans compter les cafés, les boissons à table, les bouteilles d'eau pour la chambre etc...46 € X 7 jours = 322 €., çà augmente bien la note quand même.
A vous de comparer correctement avant de dire sans vraiement savoir.
Mais, bien sur, chacun a sa liberté de penser.

je n'ai jamais été écrit que l'on ne payait pas les boissons sur le BDF, biensur qu'elles sont comprises dans le prix au départ et c'est bien pour cela que le prix des croisières sur BDF sont un peu plus chères sur BDF que sur les gros bateaux. La différence c'est que c'est à volonté et quand on boit sans alcool c'est sans modération. C'est un vrai plaisir de savoir que l'on peut prendre un verre à toute heure sans compter.
En tout cas, je vous dis BRAVO de n'avoir même pas dépensé 80 €. à 5, j'espère que vous étiez aussi en "boissons comprises", sinon, il faut me donner votre recette car sur Costa même la bouteille d'eau à table était payante, les photos étaient à 20 €. l'une, etc etc...
Enfin et heureusement, il en faut pour tous les goûts.

Je viens de lire les avis très différents à propos de BDF et COSTA ou MSC.
Je me permets de répondre car après 37 croisières sur plusieurs compagnies _ dont le Queen Mary 2_ j'ai quelques éléments de comparaison.
Après que le MERMOZ de la compagnie PAQUET eut arrété ses croisières, nous nous sommes tournés vers Costa et MSC, avec la différence qu'ils étaient moins gros que ceux d'aujourd'hui mais quand meme 1500 à 2000 PASSAGERS;
Pas mal mais informations en 4 ou 5 langues, beaucoup de monde aux escales, embouteillage au self, boissons en sus, pourboires prélevés sur votre compte de bord....etc .
S'il fallait faire un choix entre Costa et MSC? je dirai MSC.ou il semblerait avoir un peu plus de raffinement
Quant au BDF? Que des compliments malgré ses 28 ans, ses équipements pas au top comme les MEGASHIPS certainement; mais il a le mérite de RESSEMBLER A UN BATEAU ET NON A DES CAGES POSEES SUR UNE COQUE!!!!!
Je défens le BDF et je le conseille; il règne à bord une conviviabilité, une ambiance, un service que je n'ai connu que sur MERMOZ dans les années1976_95.Avec la différence que MERMOZ était cher .
Je vais faire ma 4 °croisière sur BDF en 15 mois, c'est dire comme je l'aime.
Je respecte votre choix mais ne condannez pas ceux qui aime le BDF;

Notre cabine était tout aussi confortable que sur Costa (cabine de 21 m2 - lit de 1, 80 M ...) enfin, je ne vous apprend rien, vu le nombre de croisière que vous avez fait.
Quelle chance de retourner une 4ème fois sur le BDF. J'espère que nous aurons également l'occasion d'y retourner car nous adorons vraiement ce bateau comme presque tous ceux qui l'ont essayé, ils en redemandent encore et encore car quand on doit quitter ce bateau, on a un petit pincement au coeur, tellement on a été chouchouter pendant notre séjour.
Mais biensur, il en faut pour tout les goûts et à chacun sa façon de vivre ses vacances, le principal s'est d'en revenir enchanté.

Je ne peux qu'être d'accord avec vous.
Je pense que vous avez beaucoup plus d'expérience que moi du BDF (je vais seulement faire ma première croisière sur le BDF ce 4 novembre 09), et même des croisières en général...Après, j'en ai aussi retenue une seconde sur le BDF, la Bella Vita en Méditerannée en juin 2010 (vous voyez, je saute sur l'occasion et j'y crois !!!😛)
Mes seules expériences de croisières, il y a 40 ans sur un voilier 17m (la Manche et la Mer du Nord, hmm, rien à voir) et puis il y a deux ans, la transat d'automne sur le Club Med 2 (Lisbonne-Antilles, superbe.... mais superbe aussi question prix ! encore que, mais c'est pas donné - l'all in impeccable, les GO, animations, bateau etc....merveilleux) : un bateau qui reste à des dimensions humaines (pas forcément les coûts pour le croisiériste !) et parmi les croisiéristes, j'ai vu très peu de snobisme et des gens formidables de tous bords...
BDF, je ne pense pas que ce soit forcément la même chose que le Club Med 2, encore que je n'en soie pas sûr, mais au vu de l'avis général sur les forum, ça a l'air bien, formidable-même, tout au moins pour les critères qui m'intéressent, avec beaucoup de convivialité et un confort annoncé quand-même ultra-remarquable (il n'y a pas bcp de bateaux qui vous proposent des cabines intérieures de 21m2, même pas le Club Med, ou il faut monter dans la catégorie des suites etc....et là le prix cartonne aussi, même sur Costa ou MSC. Niveau gastronomie, boissons etc...ça a l'air fantastique aussi... Et le bateau reste un bateau de dimensions humaines, pas un truc du genre Costa Pacific ou autres...avec + de 3000 passagers...
Regardez aussi le ratio personnel de bord/ passagers, un pour deux, remarquable, et ça c'est un indice de qualité...
Regardez aussi sur ces géants genre MSC, COSTA ou autres : des files, oui vous en avez, essayez de sortir du bateau sans prendre l'excursion proposée par le croisiériste, oui, vous sortirez, mais vous perdrez plus d'une heure, aussi pour le retour, regardez aussi la durée des escales, comparé à BDF, et vous comprendrez.
Essayez aussi de ramener, par exemple, une bouteille de vin de Madère de 20 ans d'âge (achetée dans une bodega à Madère, lors d'une escale) à bord de - je ne sais plus, un bâteau MSC ou Costa - et de la mettre dans votre cabine : non, lors du réembarquement à l'escale, on fouillera votre sac sous des prétextes de sécurité et on vous confisquera votre bouteille qu'on vous rendra lors de la fin de la croisière - de peur sans doute que vous aillez boire ça tout seul dans votre cabine ou ailleurs, ce qui fait que vous ne consommerez pas les alcools et vins du bateau, et à quel prix....🏴☠️
La formule all in : eh bien, tant mieux.
Mais c'est vrai que s'il on est au régime, là....
Alors, vive la convivialité, la communication, l'all in de qualités à prix acceptables, la francophonie (pour moi ça compte aussi), la bonne gastronomie et l'amitié...
Et mes hommages aussi à tous (et à MAMYBIBI aussi, en particulier)...
Mais je le conçois, chacun ses goûts, et je respecte l'avis de tous, ou du moins j'essaye, mais je suis parfois vif,

Je vois que vous aller faire prochainement le même circuit que nous en 2008 sauf que nous avions Cadix à la place de Tanger.
C'est un très beau circuit et 12 jours, çà laisse vraiment le temps d'en profiter pleinement.
Vous faites confiance au BDF et c'est tant mieux et je suis sur que vous ne serez pas déçu. Le message de MAMYBIBI exprimait tout à fait ce qu'est le BDF, comparable au MERMOZ mais en moins cher.
Vous allez être chouchouter pendant ses 12 Jours car comme vous le dites le ratio personnel/ passagers est important, 1 pour 2, c'est effectivement un indice de qualité et çà se ressent énormément malgré que les adeptes de Costa ou MSC ne veulent pas le croire.
Je ne veux pas en dire plus car j'en ai suffisemment écris sur ce forum pour défendre le BDF et il faut garder une part de mystère surtout pour ceux qui ne connaisse pas.

We’re back from this cruise.
Boarding in Dunkirk: The doors opened around 12 PM. Since we were a bit early, I asked if my husband, who uses a walker, could wait inside instead of outside. I left him with the two suitcases and our two backpacks in the small hall while I parked the car in the reserved CFC parking lot for 10 € per day.
The shuttle that was supposed to take people from the parking lot to the model pavilion was supposed to arrive in 5 minutes, but after 15 minutes, nothing. After waiting 15 minutes, I saw a man walking and asked if I could follow him. In 15 minutes, we arrived, and still no sign of the shuttle—it must have passed us. Arrived at the model pavilion.
My husband had already checked in the suitcases with the help of a CFC staff member. The remaining formalities were completed quickly. We were on board by 12:15 PM. Headed to the buffet on deck 11 and waited in a lounge to access our cabin.
At 2 PM, we discovered our balcony cabin on deck 9 at the rear: spacious with a large balcony compared to MSC/COSTA.
Since we were at the rear, cabin 9202, there was always an issue with elevator number 4: "priority."
Elevator number 2 stops at deck 10... and elevator number 3 was often out of order, leaving only number 1 for those with mobility issues to reach the buffet, especially for people who struggle with stairs. Note: only one child on board and lots of "gray hair."
DAY 2: At sea. Lots of activities offered.
Day 3: GOTHENBURG (Sweden). Sunny, 19°C at 11 AM.
Excursion booked with CFC: Gothenburg and Haga for all.
Interesting visit with a great guide. The HAGA district, in our opinion, is full of cobblestones and nothing special, not suitable for people using a cane or wheelchair. Elevator number 3 was out of order again.
Day 4: Copenhagen. 15°C in the morning, showers in the afternoon.
We didn’t book an excursion since we’d already stopped here with CFC in 2025, and based on advice from this forum, we took the hop-on/hop-off bus right in front of the ship. I still went to see the Little Mermaid again.
No TV, but the elevator was fixed.
DAY 5: At sea. Still no TV.
DAY 6: GDANSK (Poland). 15°C, rain all day.
There’s a shuttle to get to the city center.
We took the excursion: Panorama of Gdansk.
The guide left us at the entrance of the city center for 45 minutes, telling us what to visit. Meet-up for the rest of the tour at 3 PM. The bus left at 3:15 PM to cover 10 km to see St. Mary’s Cathedral. We arrived at 4:16 PM... The guide said there are often traffic jams in that direction. We had 10 minutes on site before heading to see the lighthouse and the Westerplatte monument, where we also had 10 minutes.
Many of us wondered why we didn’t do the tour in the opposite direction since they knew there would be traffic...
I went to reception to complain about the organization. The staff member read me the program: we were supposed to start with the lighthouse, then go to the cathedral and stay for 30 minutes before heading to the center of Gdansk for a short guided walk with some free time to buy souvenirs, etc.
The guide did the complete opposite of what was planned and didn’t even give us a guided tour—just dropped us off in the city...
DAY 7: Bornholm Island (Denmark). 14°C, a few sunny spells.
We saw in the excursions that there was a walking tour of RØNNE. So, like many others, we explored on our own. There was a small orchestra welcoming us at the port and two people with city maps. We took the shuttle to leave the port—it ran every 15 minutes. The tourist office was next to the "shuttle bus." A pleasant visit at our own pace.
DAY 8: KIEL (Germany). 18–23°C, nice weather.
We took the "Kiel for all" excursion. Great guide and interesting visits.
The port is in the city, and in 10 minutes, we were in the city center by following a blue line on the ground from the port. Elevator 3 was stuck again... and the TV was back.
DAY 9: At sea. Elevator 3 works.
DAY 10: At sea. Elevator 3 is out of order again...
DAY 11: Disembarkation in Dunkirk.
Cabins had to be vacated by 7:30 AM. Buffet open until 9 AM.
Elevator number 1 was "reserved," leaving only number 2, which doesn’t go up to deck 11... a problem for people with mobility issues who had to cross the entire deck 11 and try to use one of the four working elevators at the front, which were crowded.
My opinion: Interesting stops.
The onboard staff were always welcoming, smiling, and mostly French-speaking.
Evening shows were better than in March/April 2025—better singers, dancers, and presenters, and the costumes were improved.
I liked the "magician" shows less.
There were three onboard lectures by a very cultured person, but they went off-topic and were too historical for my taste. I didn’t attend the other two; my husband went to the second but not the third.
For this cruise, there was a bridge theme, but we’re not players or interested.
We didn’t take a drink package on board—water, coffee, tea, and herbal teas were available.
We had a water leak in our cabin the night before disembarkation. We reported it, and after the technical staff came (with a translator who didn’t speak English), we were asked to leave the cabin for a while for repairs. We went to a lounge, and after 1.5 hours, I checked in at reception. The repair took longer than expected... we had to change cabins... not ideal the night before disembarkation. No balcony cabins were available, so we got an ocean-view cabin, 6075, with a bathtub (impossible for both of us to use). We packed our suitcases, took a shower in our cabin, and moved to the new one. Noise from chairs until 12:30 AM because the cabin was under a lounge, and constant ventilation noise in the hallway... sleep was hard to come by.
Disembarkation: Well organized. We were helped with transporting the two suitcases and bags to the waiting room while I took the shuttle to get the car.

What about breakfast and meals served free in the cabin, and the spa?
Costa’s been cutting back on perks for Gold members, and it seems like suites are next.

It’s with immense sadness that I learned this morning of the passing of our friend Nathalie (nadu). Many of us knew her through this forum, which she loved so much. She enjoyed reading your travel stories, joining discussions, sharing her cruise reviews, and offering valuable advice—always with kindness, gentleness, and discretion.
For me, Nathalie was so much more than just a cruise enthusiast. She was a friend, a deeply kind person who was always there to listen, despite the many health challenges she faced with tremendous courage. We corresponded regularly, and sometimes we had the chance to visit each other’s homes or attend the cruise show together with our respective husbands.
We shared a common dream: when we both retired, we had planned to finally go on a cruise together. Life had other plans, and that trip will forever remain a journey we never had the chance to take. That thought weighs heavily on my heart today.
I’ll remember her as a gentle, generous woman who was always ready to help others. Her presence on this forum will leave a huge void, just as her friendship has in my life.
I send my sincerest thoughts to her husband, her family, and all those who had the chance to know her.
Fair winds, Nathalie. I like to think you’re now sailing on an infinitely calm sea, under an eternally blue sky. You’ll remain in our thoughts and hearts every time we talk about cruises or set off on a new journey.

We’d like to visit the Stonehenge site.
Is it possible to get there on our own (my husband is a wheelchair user), since the MSC excursion to Salisbury is priced at 127 € per person?
There’s also a stop in Rotterdam, and it seems there’s a "miniature village to visit" nearby. Has anyone here been there, and if so, how did you get there?

hi there, a group of friends and I are going on a cruise at the end of June with CFC in Norway. I’d love to get some info on the different stops we’ll be making. Most of them are one-day stops (from around 10 AM to 8 PM on average). Here are the stops: Andalsnes, Trondheim, Honningsvåg, Alta, Hellesylt, Sandane, Austefjorden.

We’ll be sailing on the Renaissance with CFC to southern Norway from July 4 to 11, 2026, departing from Dunkirk (the cruise was booked through "Planète Croisière").
When entering some personal details or pre-selecting options on the CFC website, I’m wondering about the "optional" categories for drinks and WiFi.
I’m actually a bit surprised by these extra charges, as we weren’t used to them on other cruises (Australis in Patagonia; Hurtigruten’s Coastal Express in Norway and Alaska; Rivages du Monde in the Arctic or on the Douro River; a Nile river cruise in Egypt), where we sometimes had access to basic drinks at meals and free WiFi when near land.
Anyway, for those who’ve already taken a CFC cruise on the Renaissance, could you share some advice? Specifically about the most basic drink package, called "Fraîcheur" (238 € for two), which doesn’t seem to be described anywhere. The "Premium" package seems excessive (490 € for two for the week) for light drinkers.
As for WiFi, it’s 10 € per day per person. While I find that price acceptable for parking our car in Dunkirk, it feels overpriced here (especially since it was free on the Nordlys "Coastal Express" just 3 or 4 years ago).
So, I’d love to hear from experienced cruisers who’ve been on this ship!

We weren’t as keen on the one on the Seashore—we found it too big.

The uniqueness of the promenade cabins appeals to us, but could anyone give us some insights on the following points:
- Is the glass door sufficiently tinted to prevent outsiders from seeing into the cabin?
- Is the soundproofing good enough to block out conversations on the promenade deck?

My husband, our two teens, and I are going on a cruise on the COSTA Esmeralda at the beginning of July. We’re thinking of exploring the ports on our own. As promised, here’s my review of the cruise I took from the 5th to the 19th on the MSC Virtuosa.
As you know, I had initially booked a cruise with Mein Schiff departing from Dubai (from Dubai to Cape Town). It was a 22-day cruise. Due to the issues in the Persian Gulf, my cruise was canceled by Mein Schiff.
So, we started looking for a Plan B because we really wanted to go. Especially my wife, who had just had a minor procedure and needed some rest. Since she had already taken time off, she was determined to travel. However, we were looking for an affordable Plan B since we weren’t sure when Mein Schiff or the airline would reimburse us.
While browsing online, I found a 15-day cruise departing from Pointe-à-Pitre (including flights, transfers, the cruise, and drinks) for a price of 1,200 € in a Fantastica balcony cabin. We thought, *Why not?*
I should mention that I’m not usually a big fan of MSC. My last experience with them was post-Covid (I took two cruises, one in 2021 and another in 2022), and it was honestly a disaster. We didn’t want to repeat that, but after talking to Catherine, who told me she was very happy with a short Christmas cruise, we decided to give it a try.
I have to say, I was left speechless. Honestly, the cruise was absolutely perfect. There’s nothing to complain about (or just a few minor details). In terms of service and food, I felt like I was on a premium cruise line. I’d even say MSC has nothing to envy from some of those companies. While premium lines like Holland, Celebrity, and Royal are cutting back on services, I think MSC has made huge improvements. Seriously, I wasn’t expecting this at all. You’ll see what I mean as we chat more.
I won’t do a full review like I usually do because there weren’t many stops:
1. We boarded in Pointe-à-Pitre
2. We stopped in Saint-Martin
3. Then it was a direct crossing to the Azores...
This cruise was really about relaxing, even if it’s not the kind of trip we usually take.
First off, I’m not a big fan of "flight and cruise" packages. I asked if we could leave two days early, but they said it wasn’t possible. We had to take the flight, then the bus, and board the ship directly.
It’s not really my thing, but given the price we paid and since we really wanted to relax, we thought, *Why not?*
Here’s the itinerary:
Boarding in Pointe-à-Pitre
Saint-Martin
Five days at sea
The Azores
Four days at sea
Hamburg
One day at sea
Le Havre
But as I mentioned, it wasn’t about the itinerary. It was really about taking a break and unwinding. Honestly, I came back thrilled.
We’re stopping over in Rovinj this coming May, and since we’ve already visited the main sights (port, church, etc.), is there a walk we can do on our own—no boat needed—that would fill a morning?

A few months ago, CFC put the EN VOGUE experience on sale, departing from Dunkirk.
I booked this package to test the boat and onboard services for myself.
I’d read a lot of reviews mentioning numerous issues on board, so I wanted to see for myself what it was really like…
Okay, I’ll stop rambling…
The package included boarding at 6 PM on Friday, dinner, a show, an overnight stay, and breakfast.
We chose an interior cabin for this experience—since the boat wasn’t leaving the dock, we didn’t see the point in paying more… All in all, it cost 130 € per person.
My mom joined us; she got the same cabin for 130 € with no single occupancy supplement.
We’d checked in online to board faster.
We took the train to DUNKIRK, then a taxi to the shuttle pavilion—7 € for the ride.
When we arrived at the pavilion, we were told to wait because there was a connection issue with check-in. Great start…
After about ten minutes, we were finally allowed to proceed.
At the counter, they said they didn’t have our cabin cards and no record of our check-in… Very odd.
With no solution, they put us on the bus and said we’d sort it out at reception. Perfect.
We went through security, and they confiscated our water bottles—never seen that before! Then they said my mom had a corkscrew in her bag, so they searched it… but there was no corkscrew. Total amateur hour… They eventually dropped it.
We got on the bus for a ten-minute ride…
We boarded the ship with a crew member and headed to reception.
Turns out, we weren’t the only ones in this situation.
The nightmare began… Only two staff members were handling all the issues, and everything seemed complicated.
They told my mom her cabin had been given to someone else 😲.
That was the last straw…
It took forever—they had to redo the entire check-in.
Finally, they told my mom her cabin was good to go; they’d mixed her up with someone else… After a solid half-hour, we could finally head to our cabin.
I’m determined to test everything: the pool, jacuzzi, show, restaurant, spa, etc…
