Il ne m'est absolument pas possible d'envisager de telles réparations ici au Canada... Je voudrais voyager à Cuba pour ces traitements, prendre rendez-vous à l'avance...choisir la période la moins chère pour voyager...le lieu le plus propice et l'hébergement le moins cher. Est-il possible d'obtenir de bons soins dentaires à petit prix tout en aidant un dentiste local à se faire un peu de sous...Quelqu'un peut me conseiller...Mes ressources sont vraiment limitées...Je ne puis monétairement pas envisager réaliser dans mon pays ces traitements...

Si votre budget est limité, je ne crois pas que l'option de les faire à Cuba soit la meilleure... Si vous êtes déjà sur place pour un voyage, c'est vrai que cela peut-être moins cher, mais sinon, le prix du voyage fait drôlement augmenter la facture!
En basse saison (mai, juin, septembre, octobre, novembre) il peut parfois arriver que le Club Amigo à Guardalavaca ou certains hôtels 2 étoiles de Varadero (où ils y a des cliniques dentaires) soient vendus pour 650$, mais ce sont des prix qui sont rares, et à la dernière minutes...
Je déconseille en général les soins à l'étranger pour toutes sortes de raison, notamment parce que vous n'êtes pas couverts par votre assurance voyage en cas de pépin. Mais pour le partiel, alors je vous le déconseille vivement! Les dentistes cubains n'ont pas accès aussi facilement aux matériaux et composites que nos dentistes. Vous pourriez facilement vous retrouver avec une prothèse de moindre qualité 9donc mauvaise pour votre santé buccale générale) et dont l'esthétique laisse à désirer ( dent de la mauvaise couleur).

Les coûts sont beaucoup moindre et les soins effectués par des étudiants sous la supervision du professeur. Les gens ont encore cette idée que les soins dentaires à Cuba sont une aubaine.
À moins de vouloir une dent en or, il n'y a pas d'économies à faire côté dentaire à Cuba.

De mon côté, j'en ai discuté avec mon dentiste ici au Québec car je veux me faire poser des couronnes en porcelaine à la grandeur de la bouche et elle m'a conseillé d'y aller, elle a déjà des patients qui ont été et les résultats sont excellents, elle m'a dit ici au Québec, on a voulu des associations de ci, des associations de ça donc tout le monde paie pour cela et que même si elle me fait les soins au "cost", elle ne peut égaler les prix qu'ils vont me faire.
J'avais un voyage de cédulé en aout dernier à la Havane, j'ai donc été à la clinique Cira Garcia pour m'informer. Le service est très professionnel, ils ont pris mes empreintes, la mesure de ma mâchoire et mon nez, un scan 360 de ma tête afin de cibler ma mâchoire, ils m'ont fait plus de tests que si mon dentiste me faisait elle-même les couronnes. J'y retourne en novembre prochain, pour faire la section du haut. Je vais voir par la suite si je fais faire la section du bas. Je vous tiendrai au courant. Le prix des couronnes est de 300.00 CUC la dent (environ 305.00-310.00 CAD) vs 1000.00 la dent au Qc.
Ce n'est pas long à faire comme calcul 300$ x le nbre de dents vs 1000$ x le nbre de dents, ça paie le voyage et bien plus .... et c'est des vacances aussi :)
La personne qui était avec moi, lui a fait faire son dentier pour 200.00$, il va le recevoir en novembre prochain.

Pour un implant dentaire, il ne s'agit d'une couronne et tout depend du cas en présence. Le processus comporte au moins 4 etapes. C'est pas sure en une semaine vous pouvez tout cela

We're about to go on an organized trip to South Africa, including Kruger Park. We were told that Malarone should preferably be taken in the evening at the same time during a meal. But it's hard to know what time we'll have dinner, especially since I've read that in South Africa, dinner is usually around 6 PM.
I'd love to hear from people who've been on organized trips to this destination and could share their experience. We were thinking of taking Malarone around 7:30 PM, assuming dinner would be closer to 7 PM than 6 PM. Also, if the meal ends up being earlier or later than when we take the pill, would a cookie or a piece of bread be enough to take with Malarone?
I’m planning to set off on a "round-the-world" trip/long journey at the start of next year, lasting between 4.5 and 6 months. For now, the itinerary looks like this: South Korea (2 weeks) -> Japan (1 month) -> New Zealand (1 month) -> Argentina (1 month) -> United States (1 month).
I’m on medication (paroxetine 20 mg/day) and was hoping to bring enough for the entire trip so I wouldn’t have to find a doctor on the spot, deal with a molecule that might be slightly different from what’s available in France, or wonder if that’s even a possibility. Basically, it seemed simpler on paper...
But after looking into the regulations for each country, it’s suddenly way less simple . Many seem to only allow the amount corresponding to the length of your "stay" in the country... Which is a problem if I arrive in Korea with 4.5 months’ worth of medication, for example.
After all that, and even though I’ll obviously contact the relevant authorities in each country (fingers crossed for a response 😛), here’s my question:

I have several chronic conditions (including asthma and related ones), and I’m planning to travel for a year across different countries.
Generally, I understand it’s possible to travel with approved medications (which should be my case), but often with a limit of 3 months’ worth of treatment.
Since I’m going for 12 months, that means for three-quarters of my trip, I’d have more than 3 months’ worth of medication.
I plan to bring my prescriptions with the INN (International Nonproprietary Name), as well as the original packaging (even though it’s a nightmare, but from what I understand, it’s necessary). But I’m not sure if that’s enough...
