je pars le 15 pour Holguin, et mon copain (qui est Cubain)
est a Camaguey (il doit se rendre a Holguin pour notre voyage)
Mais sachez qu'à Cuba, le gouvernement est très bien organisé et la population est très bien disciplinée pour faire face aux ouragans, et il y a très très très rarement des morts et des blessés. Vos novios ne courent aucun danger, c'est seulement des inconvénients (évacuation ou impossibilité parfois de sortir de chez soi pour 24 ou 36 heures). C'est à long terme que les ouragans posent le plus de problèmes (reconstruction, récoltes détruites, etc.).
Boheme, d'apres moi tu n'est pas au courant de ce que Ike a fait à Cuba pour parler comme ca. Pour parler comme ca, tu n'étais certainement pas à Holguin lorsque l'ouragan a frappé. C'est le National Hurricane center qui t'informe. Va voir le site et tu verras. C'est un ouragan qui est annoncé et non pas une tempête tropicale. Il y a une grosse différence entre les deux.

Je viens de parler à mon ami à Camaguey (Centre-ville) Il court comme tout le monde à la recherche de bouffe pour la famille. L'ouragan est maintenant de force 3 et se déplace très lentement. (Il pense que c'est presque aussi fort que IKE) mais il vont savoir dimanche matin. Il commenceront à être affectés dès ce samedi matin et celà se prolongera jusqu'a dimanche soir. Il n'est pas sûr si l'hotel ou il travaille sera ouvert à mon départ le 28 nov. (Santa Lucia)Tout ce qui est centre, Vertientes, La Florida, Camaguey, Las Tunas, Holguin, Sanctus spiriti etc. sera affecté. Je dois appeller ma copine à Vertientes demain soir à 6p.m. mais je doute d'avoir une réponse.

Paloma aura une force 4 sur un maximum de 5 et passera en ligne droite sur l'Ile de Cuba (région de Holguin) samedi à dimanche. Il y aura certainement beaucoup de dégat. 3000 touristes sont présentement évacués... les habitants sont à tout couvrir leur maison!
Oui encore un gros coup pour les Cubains. Ils en ont souffert des tempetes cette année

Le 7 septembre je devais partir pour cayo Santa Maria et mon voyage a été cancellé par Transat (Ike) et j'ai remis mon voyage mais j'avais la possibilitée aussi d'être rembourser.

Ahhh... Acheter via internet.... Tant que Tout va bien c'est correct, mais c'est quand ça va vraiment pas que les gens se plaignent et c'est normal. On offre le service après vente. Exemple : essayez de contacter votre voyagiste (internet) si vous êtes dans la m***..... croyez moi que j'en ai connu qui on payé des montant faramineux de téléphone à partir de Cuba pour rejoindre leur voyagiste (booké sur internet)... j'en connais un même dont je vais taire le nom à qui ça lui a couté 130 CUC pour rejoindre son voyagiste... tout ça pour avoir sauvé quoi?.. $30?... En principe ton voyagiste va te tenir au courant et si il a des problemes il devrait t'offrir de "rembourser, et/ou t'offrir de changer ta destination et/ou choisir un autre hotel et si ça coute plus cher tu devras débourser et si c'est moins cher ils vont te rembourser, ne t'inquiète pas tout va bien se dérouler.

Je ne sais vraiment pas de quoi tu parles ??? Je réserve sur internet depuis plus de 6 ans à raison de 2 voyages par année A TRAVERS UNE AGENCE BIEN SUR et je n'ai jamais eu de problèmes. Ils offrent le même service après vente que si j'allais à l'agence moi même. C'est loufoque de croire que tu n'es pas protégé parce que tu réserves par internet, voyons donc.
Nous sommes autant protégé que si j'allais dans une agence. Le voyagiste est sur place la bas, ton grossiste est sur place en voyage, ils règlent tes problemes. Tu ne pourras pas faire plus en étant ici si tes clients t'appellent car toi tu appelleras le tour opérateur pour tes informations.
Agence de voyage sur internet avec excellent service : VOYAGES A RABAIS, VOYAGES BERGERON, VOYAGE JEAN-PIERRE et j'en passe une autre bonne dizaine.

Ce que Apokalypse dit est très vrai... C'est quand même rassurant de faire affaire avec une agence "en vrai" contrairement à réserver sur internet. Mais c'est une question bien personnelle. Je fait affaire avec une agence à Mascouche pour tous mes voyages et je paie moins cher que si je réservais sur internet. De plus, dès que l'agence trouve un "deal", ils m'appellent pour que je réserve!

I’ve planned a three-week itinerary for this summer, from August 9 to 27, in Sri Lanka:
Negombo – 1 night
Sigiriya and the Cultural Triangle – 4 nights
Kandy – 2 nights
Ella – 3 nights
Tangalle – 6 nights
Colombo Airport – 1 night
I know this isn’t the ideal time for the south since the beach conditions aren’t great, but we’ve booked a hotel with a pool and won’t be swimming in the sea. We want to relax after all the travel since we’re bringing our two kids, aged 6 and 8.
I know the east would be better, but (i) I’m struggling to find suitable accommodation, and (ii) it adds a lot of travel time, and my kids can only handle about 3 hours at a stretch.
I looked into Arugam Bay, but it’s a 7-hour trip back to Colombo from there.
I’ve checked every weather site imaginable, but they don’t all agree. Do you think we’ll spend our whole trip in the rain, or is the monsoon in the south mostly limited to the sea, as I’ve read?
I’m worried about ending up in the middle of a natural disaster with my two young kids, given recent events.

The only other country we’ve visited during the rainy season is Brazil (in the northeast) around the same time, and honestly, aside from a few really annoying downpours, we had sunshine most of the time and it was awesome. That said, the climate is totally different, so I’m not sure how relevant the comparison is.

Personally, I see a promising opportunity here—jumping on this adaptation to extreme climates before others do, since they’re inevitably coming.
From my own travel experience, I’ve met a few guides so far who are starting to adjust, like in Egypt, Kenya, Senegal, and elsewhere.
They avoid crowds and the hottest hours by starting their tours around 6–7 AM, when it’s cooler.
Yeah, you’ve gotta wake up early, but the payoff is so worth it. 😴

I’m taking a month-long trip to northern Argentina throughout September. Buenos Aires, Iguazu, Salta, Humahuaca, Cafayate, and if time allows, La Rioja. I’m unsure about what clothes to pack. What are the temperatures like in September?
